I abruptly turned behind and picked up a nearby broken brick that perfectly fit my grip.

My actions puzzled Reika and Anna-chan but I ignored them as I hastily threw the thing.

Remember when I said I joined a few sport clubs? Baseball was one of them.

And I'm confident to say that I'm not bad at it.

The broken brick perfectly hit the stone wall where the plump boy was peeking from.

He dropped the stone in surprise before all the colors in his face drained as a look of horrifying realization dawned on him.

Not even a second after the sound, the goblin-like monster raised its head in alarm and immediately saw the plump boy emerging from the corner of the wall, dropping the stone he was holding from before.

Trembling, the plump boy couldn't move as he was frozen in fear.

I no longer looked behind and proceeded to walk forward.

Reika and Anna-chan saw everything that I did and their faces looked like they wanted to say something but remained silent before continuing to follow after me.

"Ahhh!" A Shriek echoed throughout the hallway but we ignored it.

Cluck.

I closed the door behind us after we all safely made it inside the room filled with books.

Honestly, I was quite worried that some of the monsters would leave the room and check the scream that our plump male classmate made.

Luckily, it seems that they were all too busy doing their own things.

Reika walked towards the table and placed a longsword on top of it while sitting on one of the chairs.

...Wait, a longsword?

"When did you get that?" I asked while taking the seat opposite to her.

"From the ground. I figured we would need some kind of weapon and there were a lot of them scattered across the field." she nonchalantly replied.

"I see..." Slightly nodding, I then notice Anna-chan placing a dagger with the length of her forearms, on the table before taking the seat next to Reika.

"Wait... was I the only one who didn't pick up a weapon?"

The two girls didn't respond to me while seemingly stuck in their own thoughts.

After a period of silence, Anna-chan spoke.

"...Why did you... ..do that?"

Hm?

"Do what?"

"...Kill... our classmate.."

Oh that?

"It's because he was planning on doing the exact same thing. Except I did it faster."

Anna-chan's brows slightly creased. "...What do you mean?"

This time, Reika was the one who spoke and explained.

"It's true, Anna-chan. I was looking behind us the entire time and that fat ass was planning on throwing a rock at us and using us as bait."

Her voice sounded colder than usual but I nodded after agreeing to her statement.

Anna-chan's forehead eased as said in a small voice. "...Is that so.."

Reika and I nodded.

The atmosphere turned silent as we finally had time to breathe and think about our current situation.

...Is what I thought when all of the sudden-

I heard a ringing voice from somewhere.

Confused, I look around wondering where it came from. It appears that Reika and Anna-chan also heard it because they were also looking for the source of the sound.

Suddenly, a blue transluscent videogame-like window appeared in front of me.

[ Transmigration successful. You may now roll the { Wheel of Destiny } to obtain your class. ]

...I'm not hallucinating, right?

I glanced at Reika and Anna-chan and they seem to be staring in mid-air. Their gazes focused in front of them as if seeing something I couldn't.

To make sure, I asked, "You guys... can see a window in front of you too, right?"

The two of them absent-mindedly nodded.

Without notice, the text from the window changed.

[ Would you like to use { Wheel of Destiny } ?

Confirm Yes or No? ]

"...Holy crap."

I couldn't help but exclaim after seeing the RPG-like event happening in front of me.

I was brought out of my daze when I heard Reika's cold voice.

"Confirm."

"Woah, woah, woah! Let's not be too hasty!" I wanted to stop her since this might be an important moment for us.

But then a few seconds later, Reika looked at me with a calm expression.

"I got a Legendary Class."

"Puh- wait, seriously?!"

I coughed after hearing her sentence that make it seem like she lucked out on a gacha pull.

Anna-chan then suddenly spoke. "...Confirm."

"No- wait! Seriously you guys-"

"Mythical Class."

Reika's brows arced upwards. "Oh? That's even rarer than mine. Also, it seems that you can view your status after getting your class."

Anna-chan nodded. "...So it seems."

These two..

"...'

...Now I'm curious!

"Confirm!"

The text on the blue window disappeared and was soon replaced by a wheel that is divided by multiple colours, each occupying a smaller space than the previous one.

Seeing the colours, I could see the grade they represent.

From the largest to smallest, the colours were; Green=Common, Blue=Rare, Purple=Unique, Orange=Legendary, Yellow=Mythic, and lastly Special=White.

Looking at the ranges of each colour, I could tell that the Special class would be impossible to pull since it could barely be seen from the wheel.

I think it has about 0.25% or maybe even lower. What's funny about it is that it was placed in the middle of the large shade of the green colour, so the only chance of pulling the Special class if the indicator stopped in the middle of the green colour.

Then, the wheel rolled by itself and I could see the text above it began to rapidly change.

I subconsciously gripped my hands in anticipation, thinking of what class I was going to receive.

Three seconds later and the wheel slowed down on the orange colour.

'OH NICE!'

It then continues to the yellow shade.

'OKAY?! OKAY?!! STAY RIGHT THERE!!!'

I was trembling. I was getting too hyped up.

But then soon, my body deflated as the indicator moved to the green shade.

"No...."

I slumped down the chair and lamented about my soon to be mediocre fate.

...This better not be a story like those trashy isekai where, 'I got the weakest class, so everyone abandoned me- but somehow it turnes to be the most OP class of all!'

Or like, 'Everyone left me because my class was normal. After training the exact same skills for over ten years, I became the world's strongest.'

When I read the word 'Status', the window changed and from there, I saw my current stats.

....I can't tell if a special class is a good thing or a bad thing. I mean just because it's rarer, doesn't mean it's better.

"Anyway... What do you guys think about what these terms mean and how their value is counted?"

Reika spoke first. "If we're going by common sense then we could say that STR is strength, SPD is speed, END is Endurance, and lastly, INT is Intelligence."

I agreed with her thoughts since that was what I was thinking as well.

"Then how do you suppose the value of our stats is graded?"

"Now that... Is something I don't know." Reika turned quiet while she tried to think of the plausible reason for our grades.

Suddenly, Anna-chan spoke. "....I think I know."

Reika and I turned towards her and waited for her to continue.

"...I think we are graded by the physical capabilities of our bodies... ..I have always been on the weaker side when it comes to physical constitution..."

Hearing her soft and yet clear voice, I always couldn't control my face.

"That's... the longest time I have ever heard Anna-chan speak."

My remark instantly received an adorable glare from Anna-chan.

It's true though! Anna-chan is always quiet and even when she speaks, it's always so short and brief.

"Putting aside Jin-kun's rude remarks, I think Anna-chan is right but if what she says is true then I must say that it's quite disappointing to see that my intelligence is lower than I thought."

Reika said while making a slightly disappointed look.

I then spoke, "If we're going by that idea then does that mean that I can increase my strength if I started working out?"

"...Most likely?" Anna-chan added, "...but that would be useless since... ..we can improve our status with Status points."

"And we can probably earn them by leveling up, right?" Reika conferred while looking at Anna-chan.

The latter nodded in agreement.

Reika's usually cold face changed as her lips slightly quivered in excitement.

"Guys... do you have the same [ Hero's blessing ] like me?" Reikas asked.

"I suppose everyone, including our classmates has it." I stated.

"Great! This means that we can grind and level up faster than other people!"

Reika seems kind of enthusiastic? Her usually empty eyes look kind of alive today.

But I needed to give her a reality check. "You say it like killing monsters is an easy thing to do but do you remember the monsters outside the halls?"

She only shok her head and sighed at my words. She then moved to mt side and put her arm around my shoulders, making me feel her soft ample chest, to which I promptly ignored the sensation of.

"This is why people don't like you, Jin-kun." she said was if pitying me.

She was acting very out of character.

"Well, you aren't very well-liked either, Reika-san." I rebutted.

Reika casually ignored my remark as she continued, "Jin-kun needs to start looking towards the future. I mean, doesn't the idea of leveling up and getting powerful sound exciting to you?!"

Alright, now her eyes were sparkling and now that I can see it... she does look pretty when she smiles.

And not like a sarcastic or condenscending way, but a genuinely excited smile.

But of course, I'll never say that to her. Cuz I'm tsun like that.

"Alright, alright. I'll stop being a dick and raining on your enthusiasm."

"Thank you!"

With that, she lets go of me and faced the table.

"Alright! From now on, our story begins!" Reika declares energetically.

Too energetic if you ask me.

...But well, I could get used to seeing her smile like that from now on.

Again, I won't admit that to her.

Reeling in her excitement, Reika placed her arms on the table and looks at Anna-chan and I.

"First thing's first! What are your-"

I abruptly turned my head and to my horror, I saw that the door was opened and one of those goblin looking monsters was looking towards us!

"Krieee!"
