Two days later, Mila was in the car with Rowan heading to Red Fang. Josiah saw her off and gave her a long hug. Rowan passionately kissed Sloane and told her to miss him.
Josiah opened the passenger door for Mila and left her in the car with Rowan. The drive through pack lands was stiff and uncomfortable. Rowan briefly held her hand as they passed through the border.
She felt none of the discomfort she had felt leaving Red Fang Pack. As soon as they crossed the border, Rowan let go of her hand and continued driving with ease.
They arrived at Red Fang Lands with an hour to spare before dinner with the Alpha family.
Unexpectedly, the Alpha and Beta were away and called to give their apologies for not being able to arrive in time for dinner. One of the Deltas quickly escorted Mila and Rowan to the house near the training grounds and left them to their own devices.
