Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Transmigrated

Did Loraine just die from overworking?

"What the hell?!

Did I just die?!"

Loraine was horrified at the realization.

"No way!

I still need to be in the office early!

And most importantly, I still haven't spent any of my savings!

I can't just die!

At least let me spend my money carelessly and at least tour the country!" Loraine cried.

What the hell did she work so hard for if she would just die like this anyway without even getting a taste of the savings she had made so far?!

'No! I can't let this happen.

My savings are waiting for me!'

Loraine looked at her own body and attempted to enter it again, but she only passed through it.

She made numerous attempts to enter but was unsuccessful.

'How could this be?!

At least let me spend all my savings first.

I barely slept for several years just to earn those.

How can I just die without spending a penny?!'

Loraine didn't want to accept it.

What was the use of all her efforts and achievements if she was not able to use them anymore?

'Raaah!! Please, I have to spend all that money first!'

Loraine was determined to go back into her body.

She could not allow herself to simply die like this.

This time, when Loraine attempted to enter her body once more, there was an instantaneous flash of light.

'Oh, did I finally succeed?' Loraine thought cheerfully.

She tried to grip her own hands and felt the strength in them.

She could also hear her own heartbeat and the warmth of her body.

However, when she hurriedly opened her eyes, she was surprised to find herself in a different room compared to her own.

'What is this place? Why am I suddenly here?'

Loraine immediately sat up and looked around.

She was resting comfortably in a queen-size bed!

And as far as she could tell, the room was twice the size of her apartment.

'What happened? Why am I in a rich person's room? Or is this heaven?'

Loraine could see the dangling modern chandeliers when she looked up.

There were bookshelves, a large flat-screen TV, computers, and floor-to-ceiling windows on the sides.

The plush carpet on the floor was thick and luxurious too.

To round out the room set, there were sofas, bedside tables, cabinets, and other supplementary items.

The room was decorated in soft neutrals with hints of gold and blue, making it classy, luxurious, and comfortable.

Loraine was certain she was in a different location because she had only seen this type of room on TV or online for wealthy people.

Judging from everything in this room, it was someone else's living space. Something so luxurious she could only wish for it.

She can only have this kind of space if she was dreaming.

'Am I dreaming? Am I still asleep?'

Loraine considered the possibility since everything that happened so far was things that should have been impossible.

There was no way they would happen in real life unless she was in some kind of fantasy world or whatnot.

But then, Loraine suddenly thought of something.

She looked at her hands. They were whiter than she remembered and lacked the scar she had when she was younger.

'What is going on?

Don't tell me…

Did I transmigrate into someone else's body?!

Is that really possible?

Is something legendary like that happening to me?!'

She thought those things only happen in books.

Or were those books written because it does happen in real life?!

Loraine immediately got to her feet and walked over to the body-sized mirror. Even the mirror was elegant.

'Wow. What's this?'

She gently touched her face.

Loraine's face was still hers, but she looked younger.

Her skin was smoother, whiter, and free of imperfections. Her hair was healthier and longer as well.

As far as she could remember, she had almost no time to take care of herself because she was incredibly busy.

It was why her skin wasn't as white as it should be and had some flaws, and why she never grew her hair long since it would take too much time to take care of.

'Did I really transmigrate to another body?

Why did I transmigrate?

Did I really die?

Then… who am I now?

How did the original owner of the body die?'

With her mind racing with questions, Loraine suddenly developed a headache, forcing her to return to bed.

And from there, she saw the original owner's memories, from her childhood to her death, as if she was watching a movie.

Unlike Loraine, who died suddenly from overwork, the original owner died from alcohol poisoning.

According to the memories she received, the original owner's name was also Loraine, and her surname was Antares.

Exactly opposite hers, this Loraine Antares grew up in a very wealthy family. Her mother died of illness when she was three years old. Her father, on the other hand, was always preoccupied with work.

Loraine Antares grew up under the constant care of her servants. And she led a life similar to that of other wealthy daughters.

As the Young Miss of the Antares family, she attended a private, prestigious school until she graduated. She successfully finished her studies two years ago. Thus, she was now running a company given by her father.

Because her father was more prosperous than others, Loraine Antares was used to getting anything she wanted.

Her father gave her a villa when she requested one.

Her father agreed to build her a resort and a sky garden when she asked for them.

When she expressed an interest in running a company, her father immediately provided her with one.

She had such a wealthy and generous father who pampered her with everything she wanted.

Thus, a single word from Loraine Antares had such a large impact on many people.

This was why she was accustomed to being fawned over by others.

People were always flattering her because a little leak from her would greatly benefit them.
