Adeline POV
The next day, the contractors came, and the renovations on the old house began in full swing. Zale had bought and had delivered every single thing that would be needed, and he had ordered more than enough people to work on the house.
There were no less than seven people working in every single room of the house at any given time. They were pulling up floorboards that had rotted, and fixing walls that had weakened. They were fixing electrical points that had begun to leak, and new windows were being put in.
And with all the help that Zale had hired, it would be done within three days.
While the workers did the repairs, we slept in tents outside, so that the teams could continue working through the night in shifts. We cooked on a campfire stove, and had everything sorted for our meals.
