I honestly was not happy to be in this position. I didn’t even want to be here right now. I wanted to be out in the woods looking for Zale. He left in his wolf form, which meant that he had no control of himself, and we needed to find him before he did anything that he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself for.
But instead of being out there searching for him, I was stuck at a table with my parents, Ebony, Eliana and Dianne. Listening to them discussing Zale and what they were going to do about him.
The only thing we needed to do was go after him.
‘And then what?’ a voice whispered at the back of my head. ‘What are you going to do when you find him? Your powers didn’t work the last time.’
