Eodum, Henry, and Sheila had once more begun their walk. They traveled for a solid 10 minutes before Eodum sensed something on its [Magic Detection]. The trio walked and saw a skeleton archer, a tier-two monster. Time for a fight.
Eodum immediately used all of the support skills at its disposal. Henry decided he would try out his new skill. He put his hand up and a flame appeared right above his index finger. Henry took out a bottle of alcohol and threw it at the skeleton. The bottle burst on the skeleton's hard bones. Henry then used his [Flame Control] and shot that small fire at the skeleton; the flame came in contact with the alcohol. The skeleton burst into flames, and it let out an agonizing cry.
Eodum and Henry had to block their ears. Henry put his hands over his ears and pressed down as hard as he could. Eodum focused the shadows around him on to its ears, and pulled the fur around its ears to the ears. This disrupted the sound a little, but not as much as the shadows did. Sheila heard this scream and knew what was happening; she quickly ran up and sliced the skeleton's head off. It was too late.
The party could hear the clicking and clacking of bones, along with the sounds of stomps coming their way. Sheila knew this skill from her time as a human, as well as her new instinctual knowledge as an undead. This was a skill many undead possesed, [Legion Call]. This would sound a scream to all of one's allies. Many undead born amongst other undead would have this skill, and unfortunately this one did too.
The legions of undead coming for them could be heard in these echoing tunnels. Within the next minute it sounded as if the army was right next to the trio. The party quickly readied themselves. Henry began to mix potions furiously, all while using his new skill [Flaming Craftsman]. He began distributing some potions amongst his teammates. He then also started crafting other weapons and mixtures.
Sheila got her armaments ready. She listened to where the echoes came from, but it was impossible to tell. She saw that Henry was looking to the right tunnel, so she decided to take on the left tunnel. She looked at her new unique skill [Holy Shield], and saw it had no cost. She immediately activated it and her shield began to glow with a golden light. Sheila then had her aura go into her eyes; she couldn't help but notice the evil miasma around them grow thicker and denser.
Eodum rebuffed its team and used its [Magic Detection]. It placed itself in between Henry and Sheila, and used [Presence Erase]. Another minute passed and the tension was rising. Then Eodum got its first signal.
"From Sheila's side!" Eodum yelled out. Henry quickly turned around, but then Eodum said, "Wait! Also from Henry's side!" Henry quickly pivoted and saw the first of the legion, a single slow-moving zombie. Sheila watched Henry's pivoting and figured out they were getting pincered.
Henry then announced, "First one's on my side."
"Okay!" Both Sheila and Eodum replied, each in their own language. While Eodum quickly snapped its head back to Henry's side, Sheila kept an eye on her own. The zombie shambled slowly at the trio, and Henry took it out with a simple wooden throwing knife. The knife landed in the zombie's head, and the blade burst into flames. The zombie fell over, and its body caught a flame.
Sheila heard the collapse of the body, but kept her eyes on her area. That was when she saw a skeleton appear. Behind it, another, and another, and another. The legion was here.
Sheila informed her group, "The main force has arrived!"
Hearing this, Eodum swiftly turned around. Yep, a lot of fucking undead. The army made their way at Sheila, going as fast as the undead could go. That was when they got within Eodum's [Distant Scratch] range. First it used [Gravity Up], and the already slow undead fell to the ground and had to crawl. Some of the stronger ones managed to withstand the new pressure… until their legs were cut off. Eodum began spamming [Distant Scratch], cutting the undead into many, many pieces.
Eodum stopped to preserve St, and because the undead made a solid barricade. The undead had to crawl over their comrades, and many of them couldn't even do that because of the [Gravity Magic]. Some began to creep closer, but were swiftly put down thanks to Sheila. So far, so good.
"I got a shit-ton on my side now too!" Henry yelled out. Eodum heard this and turned back around. Eodum repeated what it had done for Sheila's side on Henry's. Eodum stopped short because it knew Henry was good at ranged attacks, so it focused back to Sheila. Henry threw a few bottles of alcohol, and they broke on impact. Henry then made another little flame, and launched it at the booze covered battlefield. The place lit a flame and a new barricade began to form.
Back on Sheila's side, many undead had begun to make it through. The [Gravity Magic] had long since dispelled, and the undead were now pouring over the barricade. Sheila had her tower shield up, and it flowed with a mystical, holy light. The zombies lurched and went for her, but the shield gained an extra boost in size. A transparent golden outlined addition to the shield formed, and the zombies had trouble reaching around the large shield. She then used her sword to stab at them from her side.
Eodum saw this and followed up with [Distant Scratch], disabling the undead. A ghoul started to use the heads of its kin as stepping stones; the ghoul then jumped at Sheila. Eodum followed by using [Gravity Down], and the ghoul slammed its head into the rocky ceiling. Then Eodum dispelled [Gravity Down] and activated [Gravity Up]. The ghoul fell at highspeeds onto its fellow undead. This gave Sheila slightly more breathing room for a moment.
Henry was chucking explosive, incendiary grenade, knive, and bottle of alcohol one after the other. Eventually that entire tunnel was completely consumed with fire. There was for some reason a slight wind, so the smoke was being swept away. Some undead crawled through the hellish hallway and over the barricade of their comrades. They walked slowly towards Henry, extremely on fire. Henry took out two iron daggers from his [Storage], and started hacking away at the zombies, ghouls, skeletons, and undead alike.
Eventually after an hour of fighting, most of the undead were cleared. The party, exhausted and tired from the legion's attack, thought that they had done it. They thought they killed all the undead. That was when the entire place filled with miasma and an intense oppressive feeling. The party turned their heads towards Sheila's side. There stood a half-dead man. Half of him was human, but the other half was skeleton.
"You… YOU FUCKS," The man yelled out while glaring, "I had an entire plan. I could've taken over this "angelic" city! But you piece of shits, just had to kill my army! What the fuck are monsters like you doing in these damn sewers! YOU'LL PAY!!!"
