The man roared once more and charged at Sheila and Henry, forgetting all about Eodum behind him. The man went up and pounded on Sheila's shield. She withstood the attack, but barely. While she blocked the brunt of the attack, she still took 10 Hp of blunt damage. Henry saw this, so he mixed together some alcohol and herbs. During the process, he activated [Flaming Craftsman], and took a swig of the mixture.
After drinking some of the mixture, he threw a knife at the man's head. It landed in the man's nose, quickly bursting into flames. Henry used [Flame Control], and wrapped the fire around the man's head. The man stumbled backwards in pain, tripping into the sewage. Eodum used [Gravity Anchor], and had the man fall onto the ceiling. The man was dazed for a little, but got up. He looked at Sheila again, and jumped at her. When the man did this, most of him left Eodum's [Gravity Anchor]. He fell and slammed into Sheila, and the sudden crash cracked her shield and arms.
[Both of your arms have been fractured -45 Hp. Decreased arm mobility.]
Sheila screamed at this sudden break, but then noticed the large cracks in her arm slowly heal themselves. She had not begun to regain Hp, but her body did repair itself. With this, she could still fight properly. Quickly she started using spells: [Divine Area], [Divine Blessing], [Divine Light], and [Divine Smite]. A bright golden light began to form in front of the man, and he had to look away from the blinding light. While he did this, Sheila dashed at the man, and swung her now glowing weapon at the man's leg.
The man suddenly had a deep wound in his leg, and it also began to burn away at the man's skin. He quickly lifted his leg and stomped down, but Sheila rolled out of the way. While this was happening, Eodum snuck up on the man. It activated every buff it could, and quickly reused [Gravity Anchor] and then [Gravity Up]. The man fell once more, but this time with slightly more force.
Eodum jumped into the magic area and fell onto the now dazed man. It quickly used [Excavate] on the man. Eodum bored its way through the giant, but then felt a crushing sensation. The man had tightened his muscles, attempting to crush Eodum in him. Eodum noticed the crushing sensation, and began trying to burrow out. Eodum scratched and clawed, but every time it did, more flesh came and replaced it.
[You are being crushed -21 Hp.]
Shit. At this rate, Eodum would begin to lose Hp quite quickly.
[You are being crushed -21 Hp.]
Like so. Eodum began to get desperate; it seemed like there would be no way through. More messages rang in Eodum's head, and it began digging even more furiously. Eodum started biting and sending aura claws out at the same time while digging, and nothing was working. Eodum's St was also already low, and the constant use of skills didn't help.
Henry saw Sheila, her arms damaged, but slowly coming back, and Eodum, who was trapped in the man. While Sheila's arms would eventually be back to being usable, it wouldn't be fast enough, so he had to figure something out. Henry began to quickly pull some helpful herbs from his [Storage]. Most of his herbs were related to increasing natural healing and body repair.
Henry ground up the stuff, when he saw the man charging at Sheila. As her arms were damaged, she could only dodge. This left Henry in the path of the large man's attack. He began to hover away and to the right, but he wasn't fast enough. Because of Henry's [Hasty Craftsman] he could move quite quickly, so he avoided most of the damage. The large man slammed into Henry's side, and he was flung into the wall.
[You have suffered blunt damage -48 Hp.]
Holy shit! That one attack was able to deal a third of Henry's Hp! Ah, shit. The potion that Henry was making got ruined, and now he needed two of them. If Eodum made it out, he would need to make three. How the hell is he supposed to pull something like that off. For now, he had to get some distance, and somehow disable the man. Henry used [Freezing Water] and [Frozen Mist].
Under the man appeared freezing water; as soon as the water appeared, it started freezing and forming ice in it. In the air, a dense mist started forming around the man. The mist blinded the man, and frost started covering him. His movement was limited by the lowering of temperature, but he could still move and attack. He looked around and started charging at the one thing he could see. A bright, orange, blurry light could be seen through the mist.
The man charged at the light, he could easily break through the ice limiting his movement. When he began running he suddenly felt himself lose footing. His foot slipped on something slippery beneath him, and he felt his body hit the icy ground. Then the man felt an intense pain in his side. He remembered that damn rat had plunged itself in the side that began hurting. As the man came to this realization, he felt something burst from his side.
When the man looked to the part of him that was in pain, he saw the rat. The rat though, had changed: it grew. It grew by a lot. It grew to double its original size. Not only that, but had spikes coming out of it. It was already dark, like looking into the pitch black, but now it seemed darker. Even though the man lost his sanity, he knew instinctively to be afraid. That was when he felt a sharp pain grow from other parts in him. The man then felt a wave of weakness wash over him
The man felt his body's ability lower: his strength weakened, he lost mobility, he felt clumsy, his body felt vulnerable. Then he noticed something, his body slowly started decaying. Wasn't he resistant to necrosis and rotting!? He slowly felt the health drain away from him. Everything was painful, the hole in his side, the freezing below him, the life just disappearing from him.
That was when three figures started getting closer: one was the rat, it walked from the side to in front of him, another was the strange glowing figure, and the other was a paladin who smelt like death. These figures stood in front of him, and the fear he felt from them was indescribable. Death himself might cower at their overwhelming presence. This was the end for him.
