"What would you expect of the kingdoms and empires around the world to do if they saw something happening on the island where the devil once died?"
"They would put a strict lockdown around it?" I said with a hopeless expression.
On hearing what I said, Klein's eyes widened,
"That is also a possibility but that is only when an emperor is left sane in a competition of power. Normally, they would send a search party to see what happened."
"All for a cloud of smoke." I raised one eyebrow.
Here, we are talking about a journey of miles. Who the fuck would be in their right mind to come so far just because they saw a trail of smoke on the distant island?
He gave me a look and muttered, "You don't know the horror caused by him."
"Anyways, we don't have time so let us gather." He said and ran quickly.
"Wait for me!" I followed after him but it was all just futile with this frail body and steep rocky landform.
But, thankfully he heard my call and slowed down his inhuman speed.

"So what exactly happened?" I asked again and was myself getting bored of that question.
So, here lies Freesia, the cool lady, Bruce, the vampire, and Natalia, the lovesick.
No, not dead, just fainted.
We arrived at a cave a while ago and found these damaged and exhausted souls.
I looked and Mr. Klein.
'I have seen Ms. Fressia's strength, compared to hardworking her, he looked quite useless at times with his cheap tactics and laziness.'
An undeniable truth but was he always so strong to slay that centipede?
I stopped thinking about anything like that. Unlike the natives here, this thing is going over my head.
"What happened?" A confused vampire woke up rubbing his eyes.
"Ahhh! My eyes! My eyes! Wake up!" He repeatedly screamed as he scratched his face as his gaze fell on Mr. Klein.
I know that Klein isn't the most handsome of men but still the reaction is too intense.
"Now I think about it, was the legend that vampire die when in sunlight true?"
I thought out loud and clear after seeing that the only place getting sunlight from the cave is where Bruce was lying.
Klein moved and got into the way of sunlight, this, saving our ears and Bruce's throat.
"Wake up quickly so that we can move, I just slew a high ranking beast and made an uncleanable mess. It won't be long before other beast start waking up from their slumber."
At the thought of this the vampire shivered and put on his black cloak quickly.
"What about others?" The vampire asked Klein grimly at the thought of the storm brewing.
"Freesia and Natalia will have to be carried back, we can't afford for them to die unless we want to incur the wrath of Athenians. I can already sensed numerous ships heading towards us from various directions, we have no times to waste, that is if we want to survive. "
'He can sense ships, so that was what he was doing on sea shore.' I thought.
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
Three sounds of heavy footsteps resounded throughout the island like the sky and earth rumbled with lightning and earthquake at the same time.
"At least a king rank." The vampire guessed grimly as he ducked in cold breath.

A great booming roar resounded throughout the island as a huge lion like beast shrouded with blue and gold lightning gave a display of his superiority.
The beast above giant rank were intelligent beasts whose intelligence rivalled most of the humans.
And the currently king rank thunder lion Leos was no exception.
"Never thought that someone will manage to defeat the Titan centipede even if its rank was reduced to a mere giant rank. Sigh... Some more pest are coming this way. That just means more work to do."
The thunder Leo's thought in a heavy voice as he trampled across the forest as easily as it could.
An average sized tree amounted to a mere toenail of his and this speaks volumes of his great size. Although, now he was in a relatively far away location from where the battle took place, he could still see huge pieces of centipede scattered around.
"I am going to kill whatever creature did this. By killing the only decay centipede here it has done an irrepairable damage to the island, this, threatening the ecosystem here."
He huffed in his mind in anger but his expression was clearly visible on his scary face.
The decay centipede were like small insects of the size of a finger. They are an important part of the ecosystem in this world as they can easily decay even the corpses of emperor rank beasts while common becterias can't even decay a normal advanced beast.
This island has only one centipede to decay all beasts which has an ability to split into small form to take care of everything.
However, the beast was killed long ago during a war between humans so all the beasts of the island worked hard to restore the Titan centipede again from his crystal in order to save the island.
In efforts to do it, many of the powerful titan ranks got reduced to king ranks and event then all they could do was revive a lesser version of the titan rank in the form of a giant rank.
However, just that much was enough for the ecosystem to restore by imposing heavy restrictions on mindless killing to avoid putting pressure on new beast.
And everything was merry until today when some bastard humans came and killed the beast doing its work.
So, them dying is totally justifiable.
