Chapter 12 - A messed up family(1)

"Holy shit." I swore as I looked towards the huge lion like creature visible from miles away.

"Holy shit indeed." Klein agreed with me with a nod.

The lightning bolts surrounded the lion and it was shining like it was made of lightning itself. Same with his fur and mane that looked like thick naked wires with huge amount of electricity coursing and speaking through them.

In short, it seemed quite magical.

"So, are we dying anyways, or do we have a way to survive? " I asked the genius.

"Who cares anyways but it doesn't seem to have noticed us yet so we have kind of a few chances to survive?" Klein wondered.

'Kind of a few chances, hmm... ' The reason we noticed him was because of his big size so we, tiny twerps, can't be seen by him from such a distance, right?

But that just seems wishful thinking when it is coming slowly but surely in our direction.

But, we need a reason to have hope otherwise even hope seems hopeless.

'Dying?!' Bruce stood in shock at the synergy of the two men who had already thought of their possibility to die.

They might be ready to die but he ain't.

Neither he is confident enough to cross miles in his bat form so he has to cope with them.

Now, he regrets not leaving the city he stayed in the moment he heard Klein arrived.

"Vampire, go wake them up and give them some healing potions."

Klein threw a pair of small bottles with strange shining gold liquid inside them.

Bruce flustered a bit at the sudden throw but caught the bottles perfectly.

"If you had them then why didn't you use them before?! " Bruce asked still flustered.

"If they used it before then we would not have been able to take the advantage of the energizing buff the potion could have given us."

Klein took out another potion and drank the golden liquid and magically his wounds started healing with a golden shine.

He then threw another one at me.

"I will try to reconcile peacefully with it but in case shut hits the fan... Run as far away as you can."

This was just a precautionary measure because I was a precious investment of his.

Or maybe because otherworldly people are rare here as a companion?

Anyways, It is never wrong to live longer.

==================

Now, I am at a distance that could be considered safe according to me.

Now I think about it. Even though I ran so much I don't feel the least bit tired let alone out of breath.

It is as if I have unlimited stamina.

This can be attributed to something magical in this world. However, here is the catch during our journey both of the females of the group got tired too many times while the rest of the three of us were as energized as we could be.

During my talks with Bruce, he let out that vampires are blessed with never-ending stamina that even ultimate races like angels and demons don't possess.

But, what about Klein and me, Klein was called a mere human hero by Bruce a number of times. So, he can't be a vampire and... I don't know anything about this body of mine.

It can't be a characteristic of a hero since Freesia doesn't have that ability.

"Wait?! " A realization hit me. I looked at my palms.

"Why did I take it for granted that I am a human."

I shook my head, thus pulling out all nonsense and focusing on the current situation.

I looked up in the sky and saw a giant monster at a distance but still clearly visible but with a fly-like dot lit on fire coming towards it.

'This is getting dragged for too long on this island. This farce needs to end if I want to know more about this world.'

I bit my lips but I was too helpless to do anything about it.

More helpless than ever.

A long time ago, in another world...

"This one seems good but the other ones seem better." I threw away the clothes in my hands and chose the best one.

"Master Lucius, you shouldn't make a mess like this." A jet-black-haired butler in the prime of his life said as he stood behind me.

"Alastor, come here and help me." I asked the butler who seemed to have a good fashion sense.

"It would be best if you wore semi-formal clothes for your good first impression..."

The man kept on giving him advice as the day came to an end and the moon rose in a soft gleam.

"That would be it." I brushed my coat and brushed my black hair back in the mirror.

A tear mole below the left eye highlighted on an extraordinarily fair and sharp teen face.

What else do you need to be called handsome?

"Do you think I overdid? "

"This would be the first time you will see your family so it is indeed right to look best for the occasion."

He bowed as he hinted that his work was done and it is now time for us to leave.

"Still, don't you think a hospital is quite a strange place for a family reunion?"

Although I was grumbling, I couldn't hide my happiness as I jumped down with hops in my steps.

"Indeed only a strange mind like that can turn the whole world upside down in just 25 years." The butler laughed out loud as if to amuse me as we got down the garage.

"Which one would you like today? "

He asked as we reached downstairs full of futuristic cars of various colors but there was a thing common among them.

They were all best of the best luxurious entities.

"The new Night stone would be okay I guess." I replied.

Alastor guided to the car that seemed to have color so deep that it would suck even the light. He opened the door and made way for me to sit inside.

I got inside a saw a newspaper from today's morning with the title as

'Celebrating the new year of 2100 tonight! '
