Sideon left Maths den gleefully, feeling so pained as he could not believe that his son could have such guts to talk down on him. He knew he had been a neglectful father but it wasn't his fault. Who could he blame? The boy didn't want to give him attention even though he tried so hard to convey him. He knew that his mom's death caused his fickle behaviours and why he turned out to be like that. He also knew that he could have been a good father but he just doesn't know how to.
Notwithstanding, his ex-wife, Sabrina caused it all. Sideon never loved Sabrina but was still forced to get married to her through contract marriage. His father happened to be partners with Sabrina's father in business. Their businesses bloom together, so they both plan to make their children marry each other in the future so their ties won't be cut off.
Sideon grew up together with Sabrina but never loved her. He only sees her as one of his close friends. When they both came of age, their father announced to them what had been planned. Sideon became numb after hearing from his father and immediately declined. He told his father he has no feelings for Sabrina and they can't be together since he was already in love with someone else.
Unfortunately, his father won't accept also and stayed adamant. Sideon did everything possible to stop his father from marrying him off but all were in vain after they finally concluded that Sabrina will be the one to choose their fate. Sabrina, who loved Sideon and wouldn't let go of him, insisted on getting married to him. Sideon was so pained that he had to lose his first love for a contract marriage. He then grew so much hatred for Sabrina who he once took as a close friend.
Mathias was a mistake and Sabrina was the cause of all that happened so he shouldn't be blamed for any reason. He tried not to get involved with Mathias not because he despised Sabrina but because of the way Mathias has taken the event that happened twelve years ago. Mathias tends to blame him for the death of Sabrina which he knew nothing about.
Sabrina committed suicide herself. She decided to drown herself, not his. If she hasn't been self-centred then all this won't have happened.
"Why then should the blame be vested upon him? Why?" He thought over and over as he climbed down Maths's steps.
Julie watched as her dad slowly climbed down the stairs that led to her brother's room. His step gestures were vain and uncomfortable. She then sensed that something might have happened up there with the queer expression he has on his face. She called and ran to him.
"You don't look good, dad?" Julie asked with a sad tone, taking his hands into hers.
"Of course, I'm good, just tired from today's work. I've been busy with a lot of things." Sideon answered, separating his lips into a forced smile.
"Did you meet with my brother?" She asked again.
"Yes, he just came back from his training. He seems tired, don't go to him, you might disturb him and you wouldn't like it if he yells at you, would you?"
"No, dad." Little Julie answered, shaking her tiny head.
"You can go to bed now, your baby needs me." He said as they climbed up the stairs to their rooms.
"Ok dad, tell her goodnight on my behalf." She told him and gave him a sweet conducive hug which he returned.
He watched wearily as she ran into her bedroom happily before entering his.
Angie sang and danced gracefully, cleaning every node and cranny of the house. She woke up early that Saturday all because of the thought of visiting Nancy's buddies. She couldn't even wait for the sun to get down anymore.
Thinking about visiting the buddies seems great to her. She will be able to have a chat with the three great acrobats. How wonderful will it be?
After she was done cleaning the house, she left for the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her family. She finished everything she had to do for the day around 2 pm and decided to give her best friend in California a call. They've only chatted but not much, so she decided to have a video call instead.
It rang for some minutes before Jane's face came into the picture.
"Hi, baby." Jane waved.
"Aw! I can't even recognize you again." Angie teased happily.
"You've started again, Angela. I told you many times not to tease me again." Jane mumbled feeling all flattered.
"I'm serious about it."
"Save it to yourself, you look more gorgeous. I can see New York all over you." Jane teased her back.
"You keep installing lies, huh Jane."
"I'm also serious," Jane said, making a serious expression.
"You wish." Angie scoffed.
"You look bright too this morning, what is the new secret you just discovered in New York?"
"Guess what? I've got a boyfriend."
"What? You don't mean it!" Jane exclaimed while Angie burst out laughing.
"You spoiled brat! Are you teasing me now?"
"Not at all ma'am," Angie said and apologized.
"I will do mine later on." Jane retorted.
"How's your boyfriend?" Angie asked, concerned.
"Very very well perfect," Jane replied, smiling hard.
"Urgh, lover girl."
"He told me he called your Dad last week?" Jane relayed.
"Yeah, I heard it from dad, I was not at home the day he called," Angie answered, adjusting herself on her bed.
"Where were you?"
"At school."
"Hmm, school girl. What about the competition you told me about?"
"Oh yeah Jane, you can't believe I came first?!" Angie exclaimed.
"Really?!" Jane exclaimed too.
"Yes," Angie said and blushed hard.
"Congratulations darling, I owe you a gift," Jane promised and beamed at her.
"Less I forget, I told you about Nancy and her buddies right?"
"Yes, you did," Jane confirmed.
"I've got the opportunity to meet with the boys."
"Wow! That's nice, but how?" Jane asked since she knew it wasn't that easy.
"Nancy's gift for taking the lead."
"Are you serious, a gift to meet with them?" Jane asked, astonished.
"Yes."
"Great of Nancy, what a good friend." Jane complimented.
"She's nice just like you."
"Awesome! So you don't have to miss me too much." Jane said.
"I miss you, darling." Angie let out gloomily.
"I miss you more dear."
They talked and talked for some time before ending the call.
They don't know when they will get the chance to chat and with the little opportunity they see like this, they always make use of it with much love.
