Angie entered the den gloomily admiring everything she was seeing. She moved around, having no clue of where she was and also forgetting what she came to do as the whole place looks stunning. Just then, the studio door opened, and Maths stepped in while Angie turned to face him.
Shocked and confused, they both stood and stared at each other, puzzled.
With anger and remorse, Math's voice came in. "What are you doing here?" He demanded terrifying Angie.
"I... I... I..." she stammered in her weakened voice.
"You what?" he asked again with a soft but fearful voice.
"I'm sorry please, I never knew you were in here," she pleaded desperately.
His looks were like those of scary monsters she watches in movies, so she has to plead to avoid being hurt.
"You aren't giving me the answer I need or should I repeat myself?" he questioned, this time moving closer to her.
Her heartbeat begins to race with each step he took towards her.
"How come you are scared now and not scared when entering the lion's den, huh?"
"I'm sorry, I promise it won't happen again," she answered with watery eyes.
"She's beautiful," he thought.
Her eyes glowed even when they had water in them and were still fascinating, though they look scared. He hates beautiful girls, and she was no exception to what he never wanted.
"Get out!" he commanded, harshly.
"Yes... yes, I will," she stammered, rushing out her words, trying her very best not to get him angry so she can get out, peacefully.
"And never let me set my eyes on that face of yours again, It makes me sick,"
"I won't, I promise," she mumbled and shook her tiny head.
"Now, get the hell out of here or I'll get you out myself!" he warned, his voice sounding with so much aggression as he gave way for her to get through.
In a jiffy, she was out of his den. She raced out like she was being chased by a gang of kidnappers. He had made her forget what she went on to do. She did not want to waste one more second with him.
His looks were tough and ferocious, with each step he took towards her, it seemed like she was being caught by a scurvy monster. Urge! What a bad day for her. How was he that harsh on her? Why does he despise girl's so much? Did she look horrible? She was panting heavily by the time she got back to the balcony. At that moment, she felt a little bit relieved for being far from that aggressive boy. She looked at the other three as they slept peacefully. "Did I make a mistake by visiting this boy today?" she thought regretfully.
Davis and Shed have acted like she was not welcomed with all those ambiguous questions they've asked her. But come to think of it, they became much more carefree with her after some time. Is that how Mathais also behave? Will he still accept her as a friend? No, she doesn't think so, because he looks worse than the other.
Maybe that was what Nancy has been trying to explain to her. But what could have caused him to dislike girls this much? The answers to all her questions were yet reviewed as no one would offer her an answer. Her thoughts stopped when she felt the pain in her cervix. Then, she remembered what she went into his den to do before coming in contact with the great Mathais.
She looked around, searching for a place where she could ease herself. But only Maths den surrounded the whole balcony. All she could do was to go down the stairs and look for, maybe a guest toilet to release the waste causing pains in her body. She ran down the stairs into the living room, searching for the guest room or a toilet located anywhere around the big mansion.
Just then, a maid came to her aid. b"Do you need anything ma'am?" the young girl asked.
"Oh yes thank you, can I know where the guest toilet is located?" Angie implored hurriedly.
"Your left ma'am, beside the library, is the guest's room," the girl answered and walked away leaving her to find her way out.
She gave thanks to God as she relieved herself and immediately felt hungry. She hasn't eaten anything throughout the day since she was very busy. She got out with the thought of finding something to eat in the SAH kitchen. It was way easier for her to locate the kitchen since it was the biggest part of the down part of the mansion. The arrangement of the kitchen caught her by surprise.
She was amazed as she strode into the kitchen. The first thing she saw was the transparent fridge that exposed fresh fruits and vegetables. The second fridge by the left exposed fresh chickens, fish, and so on. Chilled juice, beverages and water were stored inside the third fridge in the right corner of the kitchen. The view watered her mouth. The fresh foods she saw in front of her all looked delicious and delightful even without being tasted. There was nothing she intended to choose from all of them since she wanted to taste them all if she could.
"It's midnight already," she thought. "I'll just have something light but yummy," she muttered and the freshness of the ice cream then caught her attention. She moved to the right side towards the fridge filled with beverages to pick a vanilla ice cream, her favourite.
As she opened the fridge, she heard the kitchen door crack open and someone stepped in. She turned and her eyes caught someone. Not just someone, but a handsome man in his early forties.
He seemed to be in a hurry to pick up something from the kitchen but he didn't take notice of her. However, she greeted him.
"Good even… good morning sir," she proclaimed, closing back the fridge gently.
The man stood puzzled at first, seeing a pretty girl inside the kitchen but then, he thought she might be one of the maids.
"Where is the ice cream stored?" Sideon asked hurriedly.
"Here sir," she replied pointing at the fridge in front of her.
He rushed to the fridge, opened it and took out the same vanilla flavour and closed the fridge. Just when he was about to go out, he turned and faced her.
"What are you doing here this late, you shouldn't be awake by this time?"
"Sir?" she called, short of words.
"I asked what you are doing inside the kitchen this late?" he inquired again with a husky voice.
She gulped down little saliva into her throat. "I'm hungry and wanted to get something to eat,"
He looked at her weirdly. He so much wanted to ask her more questions because she doesn't look like a maid but then he remembered his wife won't take it lightly with him if he was a minute late.
He could only mutter, "Get to bed," before opening the door behind him.
Angie heaved a sigh of relief as soon as the door was closed behind her and got whatever she also needed and left.
