Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Rebel's Mark

"My name's Rebel," he said as he approached me. "Start calling me by my name, and I call you by your name." He snaked his arms to my waist and pulled me towards him.

I was startled, but I didn't struggle from his grasp. He's tall, so he has to lean closer.

"Are you sure about this," he asked to confirm.

"As long as you do what you promised, I have no objections," he said flatly.

I don't know why he was so eager to find a queen, but I had to grab this opportunity. I have to be sweet to him and be a supportive queen, and all is well.

"How long are we going to pretend as a mate?" I asked him as he removed the strands of hair on my neck.

I felt his warm breath on my neck, and I almost shivered.

"You smell nice," instead of answering me, he muttered.

"Don't joke! I was out here patrolling for two hours. I smell of sweat," I said casually.

"No! You're so sweet and smell nice," he whispered before positioning himself at my back. I can feel his seductive breath at the crook of my neck.

"Hurry up! You're giving me goosebumps!" I hissed in irritation. I was having a ghost bump when I felt his lips or the tip of his nose on my skin.

"Why the hurry? The night is long?" I stiffened when he whispered in my ears.

"Oh! Shut it! Just mark me already!"

Claw keeps on pacing back in forth inside my head. She's anticipating this.

'What the heck is he doing?' she fumed.

'How should I know?' I answered back.

And then I felt his canine penetrate my neck. And when I felt it inside, I was met with unfamiliar feelings, as if my whole body started to tremble and ache to his bite.

I convulsed and instantly closed my eyes. I could even hear my own moans though it was just a whisper because I tried to stop them from slipping from my lips.

Why does it feels go good?

This bastard licked the wound he bit me. I'd be lying if I said it didn't feel good.

'What the hell was that? It felt so damn good!' Claw said, full of confusion.

'I don't know, and I don't want to know the reason! I'll die first before I let him know!' I muttered to her.

"Are you done yet?" I asked him between my clenched jaws. I wanted to push him away from me. His hands rubbing my arms up and down were freaking me out and giving me goosebumps.

"Yeah!" he said under his breath, which suddenly became rugged. I could feel that his pulse was chaotic.

He then let go of me and backed away. I sigh in relief before turning to face him.

I saw him looking up above the dark sky.

"Now that you temporarily marked me, should I mark you too so we can go home already? Look, I'm tired, and I want to rest. Just expect me tomorrow," I said tiredly.

He remained motionless and staring at above the sky as if trying to hide something on his face that he didn't want me to see. Plus, I realized that he was shaking. I don't know if he's alright or sick.

"Hey! Are you listening? Should I mark you or not?" I repeated.

"No! No! You don't have to," he said before looking at me. His onyx eyes become amber gold, and it glows. He's an Isaurian, so his amber-colored eyes explained that he was probably closed in shifting to his wolf form, which I wondered why.

"What's with your eyes?" I asked a hint of curiosity in my tone.

"I had to fight my wolf back," he replied.

"Oh! He disagrees with this marking?" I asked, arching my brows.

But I frowned when I saw him laughing at me, which pissed me off.

He shook his head. "It's not that. He has his eyes set on you since the day you showed up during the royal meeting. You wouldn't believe me if I said he wants to mate with you right now," he said, grinning.

"Bastard! As if I'll agree to that," I scoffed and turned him. I can't let him see me blushing.

What the fuck is happening to me? It's just a damn freaking temporary mark. Why am I so affected? I'd rather die to let him know this.

"What can I do? I can't control what is playing in his mind," he said, chuckling.

"Ugh! Whatever! I'll see you tomorrow, your highness," I said and ran frantically without looking back at him.

When Kaydon saw me arrive, he hurriedly approached me. Worries are written on his face.

"Alpha, you're pale? Are we under attack?" he questioned worriedly.

After I caught my breath and drank some water, I told him that I was okay. I just ran non-stop.

Kaydon went back to his seat and talked with the other warriors while I went up straight to my room. I took off all my clothes and let the water from the shower pour on me. I closed my eyes and touched the mark that Rebel made. Yeah, I know it's just a temporary mark, but why do I feel like I wanted to mate him?

Fuck!!

I shook my head and poured some amount of shampoo on my hair. The last time I felt like that was when I met my bastard mate. Suddenly the thought of him popped into my head. My body started to ache again, and I tried so hard to swallow hard, suppressing the pain inside me. In front of others, I look fine, but when I'm alone, something in me wanted me to pay attention within me.

I let out a frustrated sigh. No one knows I am enduring great pain, especially when my heat arrives.

Dang!!

My body started to burn. I put the shower on the coldest temperature to eliminate the fire starting in my body, but to no avail; it didn't go away. I tried to imitate all the movements of that shameless bastard and put my finger inside me, but I couldn't do it right. Another thing is that I'm not the kind of woman who wants to do it alone or use my hands to relieve myself.

'It will be fine if you just do what you always do, Raven,' Claw said to me.

Damn!!

She's right. I need that damn liquid for me to calm down. After showering, I put on my clothes and grabbed the keys before going down.

"Kaydon," I called him.

"Alpha?"
