The aura which emitted from both Demons were different.
One, terrifying, the other, mild.
Vin immediately knew what he stood against. Two powerful Demon ready to rip him apart.
"Oh mage 'in training', would it hurt if I knew your name?" The demon asked, looking entertained.
"The name's Vin, Vincent!"
"I love that name. I am Shadow, and my friend over there," He pointed to the demon sitting on the rooftop, "He is Daron."
"What can I say? Am I impressed?" Vin shrugged off the introduction. "All I'm here to do is give you the same pain you gave to my friends."
Shadow smiled, showing off his fangs and a taste of blood in his eyes, "Your friends are weak. But you, well, there is something which seems different about you. From a glance, I can see the peak of your power. Strength, speed, all are played in my eyes, I want to see how you will use them to save yourself from death."
"Don't get cocky Shadow" Vin warned, his hands gripped tightly on the sword. "Or else, you will fall so hard, your Mama wouldn't be able to recognize you"
"How dare you!" Shadow screamed, cutting his vein deep enough to bring out the vessels.
Vin watched as the Demon brought out two red death scythe, large and sharp enough to slice through the ground, six feets deep.
"How do you like my weapon?" Shadow smiled, swinging the scythe with ease and without a single effort. "I took it from the underworld myself."
"And so? You want me to say "Whoa?!" Vin yawned, showing Shadow he was not in the mood to listen to his rubbish.
"Enough! I have taken enough of your words" Shadow swung the scythe towards Vin who blocked the attack with his sword, pushing back the scythe with his strength, a large crack broke through the ground, making the Demon slide backwards.
Shadow looked at him for some moments, then he smiled, "I am starting to like you Vin. Not so much, yet at a specific amount."
Daron, who hasn't spoken a single word, jumped down from the roof. He brought out a sword from the Darkness, a red sword, enough to cut through anything.
"Oh delicate child, I must say your end starts here. So sorry you have to die. But don't worry, your death won't be meaningless, because at least I will eat your limbs." Daron told him, licking his lips to show a full satisfaction.
[How can I fight two upper ranked moon Demons without showing who I truly am? My hood must remain on my head at all times, and this could raise their suspicion, since these Demons are no fools. Talking about Demons who speak to Dravil directly, how stressful.]
Frowning, Vin sighed softly.
[At least, it is worth the shot.]
Ready to face both demons, Something cut him off guard.
An arrow which passed by his ear, hitting Daron with a great force.
The explosion sent him out of the Frontline, into another street, far away from Vin.
"I'll deal with Daron, you fight the Cocky Shadow."
"Eden!" Vin looked at him with shock in his eyes and with no doubt, he was in pain. "You were supposed to relax just as Mrs Carolyn had warned you!"
"Then do what?! Have in my mind that my friend is fighting a powerful demon while laying down? I am sorry Vin, I will have to help you. And you can't do anything about it, can you?"
After some seconds of silence, Vin gave up, "If you say so. Don't go beyond your limits okay? And be careful. Daron has a sword you don't want any part of your body to come in contact with."
Nodding in Understanding, Eden ran with speed to Daron who dusted himself from the dirt.
"How annoying, I can't imagine you hitting me in such an unhealthy manner! Die human!."
Daron rushed towards Eden with pure Anger and hatred, nothing more than this emotion.
Every step he took, more than five slashes would follow and more hatred grew in his heart.
Eden had a good sense of dodging attacks, yet he could not shoot an arrow at him. Cus' anything he did this, Daron would close up, destroying all of his plan.
'Such speed! This truly is the power of an upper ranked moon Demon. How wonderful' Eden said within his mind as he jumped out from the way of a slice.
Landing on the blade with the tip of his boot, Eden pushed the Sword downwards, before using his bow to slap Daron across the face.
A second blow.
"You slapped me with that low graded weapon of yours, you truly have the guts." Daron roared, raising his sword from the ground, unleashing an attack which Eden knew he couldn't dodge, only block.
THE STRIKING SLASH.
With a frown, he spinned his bow, creating an attack—One he calls THE SPINNING WHEEL.
Fortunately, Daron's attack became successfully blocked, as it bounced off the spinning wheel.
'He is different from the others I have killed. He doesn't flinch back in fear although badly injured, how entertaining' Daron smiled, noticing Eden's tough attitude.
"So entertaining!" Daron smiled widely, rushing again to Eden with no backing down. "So very entertaining."
Meanwhile…
As all that happened, Vin fought Shadows with care and good reasoning.
Knowing the Demon was cunning and sly, it heated up his anger every minute.
Every attack, Vin was quick to dodge, strong in striking back every blow and seemed very intent to show Shadow he shouldn't be underestimated. Yet the most galling part of their fight was how Shadow always placed a smile on his face, an annoying vexing smile enough to make one run mad.
All this was fun to him, all were mere entertainment.
"Oh Vin, you are truly fun. It would be a pleasure to kill you" Shadow told him without a drop in the smile plastered on his face.
"I will wipe that smile off your face!" Vin dug his sword into the ground. Running towards Shadow, he maintained a constant speed..
'SLASH'
He managed to slice through Shadow's chest, through his flash, through his heart.
Shadow on the other hand jumped backwards, pulling the sword out from his chest.
Standing on both feet, he threw the scythe into the air, on his face a wider smile, "I have a surprise for you."
From one, the scythe became two. Each has different energy.
With a new Maniac smile, Shadow directed these words to Vin, "I am a bad guy."
