"How strong are you to face me head on?" Shadow questioned Vin.
"Strong enough to make you pay for hurting my friends!" Came his reply.
"Oh please stop it! There is another hidden agenda in your mind" Shadow tapped his jaw, before saying, "However, I won't pry. But I must say you truly are brave!"
"Should I take that as a compliment?"
"No Vin, take my words as your last, because I'll kill you."
Shadow ran with an unexpected speed, raising his scythe to strike down Vin. He never gave a time to hold back, he never gave a space to dodge. He came for the kill.
"Die! Die!! Die!!! You filthy mage" Those were his words as he slashed through the air, sending different attack styles to Vin.
[Such speed! Such hate! Such anger. This Demon won't stop until I fall dead.]
Vin jumped out of various slashes, yet he struck back the majority of them.
Their attack was so tough, it destroyed the grounds and everything which stood in-between.
Both Shadow and Vin were moving with a speed which couldn't be followed.
Every turn, a blade would pass through and every dodge, another would come.
With this speed, Vin used it as an advantage. He managed to stand on the ground without any obstacle to block him down.
Striking the scythe blade, he made sure to hold that in place. Then, his eyes caught the other coming to stab him.
Using his leg, he kicked the second scythe away and his sword against the first, he used to push Shadow out of his way.
"Skilled! You truly are one powerful mage I would say. " Shadow smiled as the second scythe which was kicked away suddenly came back to his hands. Like there was an attraction or so.
"Well what else can I say? Practice makes perfect!" Vin gripped on his sword ready to attack.
With a snarl, Shadow threw his scythe in the air towards Vin's direction. He had a plan in mind.
As the spinning scythe came his way, Vin struck it out of place, but soon came face to face with Shadow.
[Damnit! He distracted me so he could get closer.]
"Surprise!" Shadow sliced Vin's check with the scythe, deep enough to make him feel the blade almost touching his scapula.
Luckily dodging this Death strike, Vin leaped out of the way when he suddenly felt faint. His vision blurred and tears in his eyes.
Coughing out blood, he could feel his chest contrasting.
"How do you like my poison Mage?" Shadow chuckled, seeing Vin in pain.
"Poison?"
"Sure Yes. As you can see, I poisoned you with my blood. And the effect would become fatal in about two minutes. No hard feeling okay, your body won't lie to waste."
Vin clutched his chest tightly, feeling the poison circulate around his body.
"Such unbearable Pain!" He spat out blood while trying to control his breathing.
[I need to act like this for the time being. The poison actually has no effect on me, yet I have to perform some dramatic move to make Shadow think I am actually dying. Shadow won't stop, so I need to make a planned move.]
Although 'poisoned' Vin rushed with some speed to hit Shadow, who used the scythe combined with his various strength to break Vin's sword, shattering the blade into various pieces.
Seeing this, Vin collapsed on his knees, his breathing unstable. Gasping for air, he fell down, dropping his sword, making Shadow have a victorious smile.
"What a shame!" He said, looking at Vin's body. "But as I promised, I'll devour your body and won't let it go to waste. Time for power up!."
On the other side…
Eden and Daron had an unbeatable fight.
A fight for life and for justice.
"Why can't you just Die?! Low bottom feeder!" Daron sliced his head, but Eden ducked, making the blade cut off some inch of his hair.
"You know what Daron? It takes one to know one!" He jumped up and high, sending arrows at him without stopping.
Every arrow had its unique power, yet Daron sliced through some. The others, it struck every part of his body.
Since Daron is an upper ranked moon Demon, he regenerated quickly and healed from the attack.
"Looks like you like arrows uh?" Daron threw his sword into the clouds, he finally placed a wicked smile on his face. "Do you have an umbrella?"
"Why do you ask?"
"It rains in some parts of Elaskor. It rains sharply."
Suddenly, from the Sky, blades of different sizes rained upon Eden who quickly used one of his skills as a barrier. Protecting himself from the sharp rain.
Numbering more than three thousand, Eden held the barrier in place, until Daron broke it with an exploding blow, sending him away.
"You think your stupid barrier can protect you!" Daron stretched forth his hands, gathering the blades into one big gigantic sword. "I will end you."
"I may have a mystic weapon," Eden hands sparked into fire balls, "But remember, I'm a mage."
He sent the attack to Daron who couldn't stop it, although sensed the amount of power.
The fire ball blasted through his stomach, leaving a wide hole.
When he made this attack, Eden fell on the ground, the pain from the previous fight becoming worse and worse.
Daron continued walking with anger in his eyes, dragging the sword on the ground, "How dare you inflict such a low attack on me! Even though it is taking me forever to heal, I'll so-"
'SLICE'
Daron's head fell off, from a swift beheading slice of a sword.
"Say hello to Shadow for me, Okay?" Vin smiled as Daron's body turned into ash, shock still in his eyes.
"How did you…. Wait you…. You are Dr-" Daron could not complete his last words, yet he saw who truly was behind the hood.
'DRAVIL'
After some minutes of silence, Vin couldn't help but feel proud for defeating an upper ranked moon Demon.
"Well, if not I pulled that plan back there, I would have not defeated Shadow…."
FLASHBACK, THREE MINUTES AGO…
"Finally, I'll eat the flesh of a human again. Then, I will go after that other mage and mince him up."
Shadow smiled, dropping his weapon and walking towards Vin, when he felt something was wrong.
"Damnit!"
Vin gripped his neck firmly, tight enough to stop him from breathing.
"You really do well being distracted Shadow!"
"You…. You planned this all from the beginning! Acting poisoned! Using your muscles to stop your heart to fake being dead! Faking being weak! Distracting me! you planned this!."
"You are no fool!" Vin brought out the cursed sword from his wristband.
"YOU ARE DRAVIL!" Shadow trembled in fear, before getting beheaded. "I'M HAPPY TO BE KILLED BY MY LORD!."
END OF FLASHBACK….
"I Actually did great" Vin smiled in triumph, as he helped Eden on his feet.
"Thank you, Vin"
"No, thank you Eden. If not for you, I'll be long dead." Vin smiled at his friend, who could not help but smile back. "Let's get back to Mrs Carolyn and then, I'll write a letter to Mr Snow."
