Chapter 20 - CHAPTER 20: It was rescue breathes.

"It seems Alaric has gotten something," Austin announced.

"What's it that he saw?" The leader of the team asked.

"He saw something struggling in the sea and drifting farther," Austin said.

"Where's he?" "The leader of the rescue team asked.

"He didn't tell me but we can track his phone to get the location," Austin said.

"I hope he can swim and try to save whatever it is, in case we get there late." The leader asked.

"Yh. He can only if he's not in too much shock." Austin said as he uttered a small prayer.

"Am sure he will do his best to save her," Scarlet assured him.

"We've been able to track him down." One of the team members said.

"How could he have gone this far on foot." The leader asked.

"Let's move.!" He ordered as they started their engines.

Back to where Al stood, he could feel that the person is dying slowly.

'I can't wait for them to come he thought.

'What if they didn't even pick up the signal? I will have to save her on my own.' He thought as he removed his shirt and jumped into the sea. Luckily for him, he knew how to swim faster like a pro, he got to her quicker than the team expected. He scooped her into his arms and walked to the shore.

Just then the rescue team arrived. He placed her at the shore.

"Ms." He said as he turned her to see her face.

"It's Jules." He shouted and Austin and Scarlet ran to them.

"What was she doing there?" Austin asked immediately.

"Is she awake.?" Scarlet asked as Al started with the chest compressions.

"She's not responding," Al said while doing the compressions.

"Let the team take care of it they are experts," Austin said as he signaled the team to be the stretcher.

"Try mouth-to-mouth respiration." Someone in the team suggested.

Before Austin and Scarlet could discuss it, Al went it for the mouth-to-mouth respiration and compressions. After the second rescue breathes she coughed some water from her lungs.

"Can we take it from here?" One of the members asked politely.

"Yeah," Austin said as he helped Al up some that they can take her to the car for an immediate check-up.

He took his shirt and wore it.

"So you had time to remove your shirt while someone was drowning?" Austin was criticized as he handed him a towel to dry himself.

"I even had time to remove my shoes, why didn't you see that?" Al pointed out.

"Am sure you stood there for some time contemplating whether you should save her or not, given what happened to you the last time you were in the water?" Austin said.

"What is your problem I saved her anyways." Al ended it as he was not ready for an argument.

"You guys are forgetting the part where he gave her mouth-to-mouth respiration." Scarlet pointed out as she made her way to the ambulance.

"Yeah, because you and Jules are at longer heads, there was a complete change in attitude for her when it got to the part of your lips touching hers," Austin emphasized the last three words.

"It was rescue breathes. I would have done that for anyone in danger." Al said.

"Gentlemen...." Scarlet called out for them.

"I have no issues with you fighting or arguing but you are kind of needed here," Scarlet added.

"So she's responding to treatments quite well." The officer said.

"But we would like to run some more tests on her and question her when she wakes up." He added.

"Question her about what?" Austin asked.

"How she ended up in the sea." He answered.

"Okay, so we should head to the hospital," Austin said.

"Okay, sir." He said as he ordered his team to move.

"Let's go." Austin tapped Al and held Scarlet's hands as they walked to the parking lot.
