"Guys, I think you should go home now," Al said when they got to the car.
"What do you mean by that," Austin questioned him.
"I mean, I appreciate your aid in helping me find her but I can take it from here. Also Scarlet needs some rest." Al reasoned.
"And what makes you think I will agree with this idea of yours? You hate the girl so why will we leave her in your care while we know you can get rid of her easily." Austin fumed.
"There's no time to debate this. There's no way I can get rid of her knowing my dad threatened my life if something happens to her." Al said.
"I don't agree with this," Austin said.
"Scarlet please say something." Al requested.
Scarlet then whispered something into Austin's ear.
"Okay, fine. You can take it from here." Austin sighed.
'What could she have told him for him to agree with his idea.' Al thought as he stared at him in disbelief.
"After the tests are done take her home otherwise you will have a lot of explaining to do when you go in the morning," Austin advised.
"Keep me updated on everything," Austin added.
"I will," Al said as he kissed Scarlet on the forehead.
"I have to get going now. Am sure they've even reached the hospital." Al said as he rush into the car and drove off.
Austin and Scarlet stood there for a while before they also left for their house.
"Nick...." Al called his assistant when he got to the hospital.
"Sir...What happened." He asked.
"I need a favor from you," Al said.
"Can I deny it?" He asked.
"No, you can't because it was not a question," Al said coldly.
"What do I need to lie about." Nick sighed.
"You are quite a cleaver. I need you to call my dad and tell him am at the office due to some emergency that came up." Al said.
"Where are you exactly sir.?" Nick asked.
"I don't pay you to ask questions. I pay you to do what I want you to do when I want it." Al reminded him.
"I know that sir, but I need to know what happened so that I know how to lie to save your ass," Nick said.
"Okay, am at the hospital right now with Jules something happened. So I need you to tell my father that when I was coming with her I received a call from the office." Al paused.
"And you might be a bit late," Nick concluded.
"Good," Al said.
"Anything else.?" Nick asked.
"Not at all. I will call you if I need you." He said and hung up.
Al got out of the car and entered the hospital. He asked where she was and went there.
"How's she?" He asked the doctor he saw.
"She's awake now." The doctor answered.
"She's now talking to some officers about what happened. When she's done we will run the tests then you can be on your way." He added.
"You can wait for her here." He showed him to some seats.
"Thanks," Al said as he took the seat. As he sat down impatiently wishing was anywhere apart from there his phone rang.
"Have you reached?" Austin asked from the other end.
"Yeah, they will run some tests then we will be on our way," Al answered.
"How's she so far?" Austin asked.
" She's good," Al answered.
"How about uncle," Austin asked.
"I've taken care of that," Al said.
"Are you sure?" Austin asked.
"Yeah, am sure. Where's Scarlet now?" Al asked.
"She off to bed," Austin said.
"Okay, you can rest now I will take care of this," Al said.
"Alright, take care." Austin as he hanged up.
He continued to sit there impatiently when he saw the officer walk out of her room.
