"What? how can you do that?" A man wearing a black suit, looking elegant, although he wasn't looking very handsome, his features weren't that bad. All in all, you can say he is an average-looking guy. Who is in his 30s? He was talking to a man before him. The other person was an old man, close to his 80s.
"What do you mean by, how can I do that? I have the authority so, of course, I can do anything I want," The old man said. "It's all up to me, this whole business is mine. You can't question me, I can make anyone the CEO of this company and who are you without my name? Have you done anything for this company all these years? No, you were just going to pubs and having late-night parties. Where were you when I needed you? this company needed you?" The old man added.
"But grandpa, I am your grandson, I am your blood.
I have all the right to ask you," The man said.
"No, you don't," The old man was determined, not to give him any face.
"Okay, I don't have any right in this business. But, how can you let an outsider be the CEO of this office?" the young man asked.
"Outsider? hahaha," his Gramps laughed. "You are calling him an outsider? Do you know how much effort he had put in for this company? And also he is more reliable than you, even anyone in the company can't be like him. Also, I don't understand, why you are making so much fuss about this. I have told you already, you will get your share of money every month as before. You have nothing to worry about. You can enjoy your life as before," the old man said everything he wanted to say.
"This is not right," the man was saying. At that moment they heard a knock on the door.
" Who is there?" The man shouted before opening the door. He opened the door and saw a tall- handsome man, wearing a blue suit. He was standing straight at the door and had a slight frown on his face. He looked devilishly smart.
"Hello, Mr Bhatia," the man on the door said.
"Oh! so, it's you. Why are you here?" he asked.
"I don't think I can explain it correctly to you. I suppose you have to ask your gramps to get a better explanation," he smirked.
"Let him in," Sumit Bhatia's grandpa said.
'As if I have a choice' he thought.
"Hello, sir," the other man came in and said.
"Hello, Veer beta (son), I have been waiting for you. What took you so long?" Mr Bhatia asked.
"I was stuck in a traffic jam," Veer replied.
"Ah! I see, traffic in Mumbai these days sucks," Mr Bhatia was saying, feeling annoyed.
"Come sit here, we have things to discuss," he added.
"Sumit you come here too," Sumit was glaring at Veer as if his glares can kill Veer, right at the moment but regardless of his wishes, it can't be possible.
They both by j and sat before Mr Bhatia.
"Gramps, just hear me out, will you?" Sumit tried to convince his grandpa." you can give him the position of CEO...," Simit was saying.
"I didn't remember asking you about this. I was just telling you my decision," His grandpa cut him off mid-sentence.
"Whatever, but I want to ask, can you trust him unconditionally? can you give him your hard-earned money just like that? He is not even our blood-related. Do you have confidence that he will give my share of the wealth fairly? He grimaced at the thought and didn't hesitate even for a moment, for saying all of this in front of Veer.
" Hmmm....., you sure have a lot of questions," Mr Bhatia started contemplating his suspicion.
However, Veer didn't look a bit concerned. He knew Mr Bhatia is a wise man, he surely will decide what is good for the company.
"You are talking about a fair share. It looks like, I didn't consider it, right Veer?" He glanced at Veer mischievously.
Veer understood Sumit is going to regret his questions.
"See? I have told you," Sumit said loudly in excitement. He thought he have hit the right spot.
"Sumit now I think about it, I realised, I have wronged you. You have every right to earn your money with your hard work. How can I let you be at anyone else's mercy?
" Yep, that's my point," Sumit was oblivious to his grandpa's words. After saying that he thought for a moment and realised something is wrong.
"What.....What do you mean by hard work"? He stammered a bit.
" I mean you will come to the company daily and will do your work as an employee, then you will get the salary you deserve at the end of the month like the other employees," His gramps grinned playfully.
No words came out of his mouth, he was speechless. ' I wasn't trying to say that' he thought.
