Inyaki was floating in his divine space, scouring the world for a remote place to look for followers. The world below him had two big empires; One was predominantly run by humans, the other by Creatures. Inyaki chose the human empire. He wanted somewhere where most people didn't know, he couldn't choose a bustling city, or his followers would be snuffed out by the resident religion. Suddenly a flash of light appeared in the corner of his eyes, he focused on it and couldn't help crying out in shock.
"Is that a fucking meteorite!?"
…
To Susan, this was the worst day of her life. She was an orphan who lived in a small village with a population of just thirty people. Everyone knew everyone there, everyone was family. Their huts were even built so close together they looked like one big house. She was found in the Gangu Forest fourteen years ago by an old man called Old Vanke when he was foraging, and they began living together ever since.
On this unfortunate day, Susan had gone out to check the traps Old Vanke had placed in the forest to see if they caught anything, and as she was walking back home with two dead rabbits, she saw a huge fireball falling from the sky, then she heard its impact on the earth, it was so deafening she couldn't hear anything for a few seconds. Her legs were shaky and unstable, but she forced them to run towards the fireball's landing site, towards her village.
When she got there, she saw her worst fears come to life; her village was gone, all that remained in the formerly peaceful village was wreckage and smoke.
"No…." Her vision turned blurry as her eyes filled with tears. It was all gone, her home, her family, all gone. She felt her throat swell up in pain and she couldn't help but cry out. She cried and she cried, until it felt like she didn't have any tears left. But the pain was still there, and she didn't know if it would ever go away. Feeling too weak to stand anymore she dropped to her knees. She wished she was around when the fireball hit, then she would have died with everyone. It was better than being alone-
A soft cough interrupted her thoughts, and her head immediately whipped towards the sound. In between some rocks and debris, she could vaguely see some figures covered in black soot. The sound was coming from there. She quickly ran over to see who the survivor was. There were three people there, children from what she could tell. The one coughing was in the middle, he looked like...
"Henry!" She could tell who he was even if his face was burnt black. And since he never went anywhere without his siblings the other bodies would be, "George! David!" After checking for heartbeats, she found them all alive!
She cradled them gently so as to not upset their already serious injuries, her tears which she thought were dried up filled up again as she cried on their burnt bodies. After a while she heard a moan but realized that it wasn't coming from the three boys, but from a body not too far from them. The body was much smaller than that of the boys and was burnt so badly it was still emitting smoke, but the green-colored shoes that melted on the body's feet made her know who it was.
"Oh, Mary. Oh Why…" She went to check on the girl when she suddenly froze in place. In her line of sight there was a Green-Stripped Panther. It had blended with the tall bushes but Sarah's eyes had always been sharp so she could see its outline. Since it had already been spotted it prowled forward with a low growl.
"No!" Sarah quickly took a stone and tossed it at the panther. It sailed across the air and landed on its head, causing no damage. Enraged, it roared loudly and pounced forward. Sarah watched in dismay as its claws came nearer and nearer, she couldn't help but pray in her mind.
Please help us... Someone please... Oh Gods please help us!
Suddenly, a golden light descended on the area, it was bright but not blinding, it gave her a warm feeling. Then she remembered her current predicament, so she quickly checked for the panther to see it stuck in place. Not just it, everything stopped, the leaves, the smoke, the fire, everything. It seemed like time stopped for everything except for her.
"What is happening? A-am I dead- "
"No, you are not!"
She yelped and fell on her butt. That voice seemed to be coming from everywhere!
"Who are you!?"
"I am a God." The voice said, "You asked for help, did you not? Well, here I am!"
A God… This means that her prayers had worked! She quickly scrambled to her knees and touched her head on the ground, "Please help us, save my friends, please!"
"Unfortunately, I cannot interfere with anything personally, and everything will continue the way it was going to once I leave. But, if I had a follower, I could use my power through them. So, if you believe in me, I could make you my High Priestess and endow you with a fraction of my power, just this once. So, what would it be, will you believe in me or- "
"I believe! I believe in you wholeheartedly, oh God of… um, God of what?"
"Er, God of Ga- Ke... Ke urgh!" Inyaki choked on copyrights.
