Inyaki realized he made a dumb mistake; he hadn't given himself a title yet! What should he call himself, God of Fun? No. God of Life? Uh Uh, she'd kill him. His brain was working at superspeed as he searched for the right name for himself. Soon, a light bulb shined on top of his head (Figuratively of course).
…
"I am, The God of Origins!"
The God of Origins… Sarah knelt straight, clasped both her hands together and prayed from the bottom of her heart, "Oh God of Origins, I beseech upon you today, please save my family." Inyaki felt a trickle of pure faith rushing into his divine domain and connected to it. He immediately anointed her to be his High Priestess, and the restraint on him lessened.
On Sarah's side, a strange page appeared before her eyes.
[Name: Sarah]
[Class: High Priestess]
[Level: 0]
[HP: 20/20]
[MP: 10/10]
[PRF: 0/100]
[EXP: 0/10]
[STATS: Strength (1), Agility (1), Perception (1), Intelligence (2)]
[Skill Points: 0]
[Stat Points: 0]
"What is this...?" Sarah asked in bafflement.
"This is your status page, only you can see it. If you want it to disappear, just think about it, and if you want it to appear again just think 'status page'."
She did what he said and watched in amazement as the page disappeared and reappeared in her eyes.
"But what is it used for?" She asked.
"It is used to check your progress. As you can see it shows your name, then your class–I have chosen you to be my High Priestess, but we'll get back to that later– After that is your level, it is at the lowest level, then you have your hp points, which can also mean life points, it goes down when you have a bad injury, if it reaches 0, it means you're dead."
"Next are your mp points, or magic power points, it shows the amount of magic power you have right now, next is your proficiency points, I'll also get to that later, then your experience points make your level go up, you can get experience points either when you beat or kill an enemy, or when you fulfill a quest. Stats are the main status of your body, I'm sure I don't need to give an extensive explanation for them. Next are your skill and status points, when the number goes up you can add them to their respective places."
Sarah pondered on the information he gave her for a few seconds before bringing up a question, "My lord, I basically understand everything you said, and I see where to add the status points in, but I don't see anywhere for the skill points."
No wonder her intelligence already had two points, "Focus on you class a little bit," When she did that, the remaining words vanished, next she saw a ball of golden light–just like the one her new God projected–with what looked like roots coming out of it and stretching upwards into a tree-like image. On the roots, there were many other balls, but they were gray. When she focused on the balls, she could see names and numbers written above them.
Sensing she had seen it, Inyaki continued his explanation, "That golden ball is your element. Because you are my High Priestess you have my divine light as your elemental power. Although you can access just one element, it is the most powerful one. You would be able to use divine light to attack or defend, or form it into whatever you can think of, and it gets stronger with your level, but you can't use magic if your mp is low. If you have enough skill points you can use it to unlock skills–as you can see, some skills need more than one skill points to unlock them–then you'll be able to use established skills by reciting their names or just thinking about them, the more you use them the more proficient points you get. Now, about proficient points, you get them when you train your power. They can be used to level up too, but they don't give stat points."
Sarah's mind spun with all the dazzling things shown to her, everything seemed so unbelievable, yet she couldn't deny reality.
Finally, after accepting everything, she asked, "How do I save them?"
"First, you need to level up. Once you reach level one, you'll be able to get skill points, use them to unlock the first spell, then use it to heal your family. Although it wouldn't normally be so strong that it would heal wounds like that–since your level is so small–so I will be assisting you."
"How do I level up?"
"Kill the panther."
What? Sarah's body shook a bit as she looked at the Green-Striped Panther stuck in place, "H-how am I supposed to kill that?!"
As she finished clumps of light converged together in a dazzling show and turned into a dagger so white it looked like bone, with golden runes drawn on it. The dagger floated towards her and stopped at arm's reach. She grabbed it, it felt cold to the touch. While she focused on the dagger, she saw a name floating over it.
[The Dagger of Purity]
"Oh… "She breathed out in wonder.
"This is a gift from me. Now use it to slay that panther. I believe in you." When the voice faded, she could see that everything was slowly moving again, she quickly jumped out of the panther's way.
When the panther landed in it looked around in confusion, its prey had suddenly disappeared from its spot.
Sarah didn't allow it to get its bearings and quickly flung the dagger at it. She felt stupid the moment she did that, that dagger was her only weapon and just threw it at the panther. But the dagger sailed true and inserted itself in the panther's throat. But it didn't get stuck there, it actually sliced through its neck. She watched with her mouth agape as the panther staggered and fell, and after it stopped twitching, she felt a warmth inside her chest, and she knew she had leveled up.
"Um, status." The page appeared before her eyes again, but this time with some little changes.
[Name: Sarah]
[Class: High Priestess]
[Level: 1]
[HP: 25/25]
[MP: 15/15]
[PRF: 0/100]
[EXP: 0/100]
[STATS: Strength (1), Agility (1), Perception (1), Intelligence (2)]
[Skill Points: 1]
[Status Points: 2]
She quickly added her skill point to the first spell which was called [Divine Heal] and the grey color dissolved and turned golden. Information about the skill was immediately uploaded into her brain, she knew what to do. Gently, she carried Mary's body closer to the boys, raised her hands above them and said, "[Divine Heal]." Then a tremendous power rushed into her body, and she knew it was her lord's power. She then directed said power until the children below her and watched in awe as their bodies were fixed in seconds. When the skill ended, they looked as if they had never gotten injured in the first place.
Soon, their eyes fluttered open, and they looked around in confusion.
"W-what happened?"
Sarah jumped at them and hugged them tightly before they could finish voicing out their questions. A new batch of tears dripped onto their bodies as she sobbed.
"We'll be fine," she said, "everything will be fine."
