Chapter 42 - The Lost Hero Part 1

Alissia stepped outside the estate gates with her hands in her pockets as she walked down the street. She had not been alone on the streets of this new world since coming here, and to her, it was a bit refreshing. While she did enjoy the company of her new little wives, she still needed a bit of alone time as well.

Stretching her arms as she walked down the street, the large sword on her back bounced up and down with each step she took. She had her cloak on so no one was able to see her face. She made sure of this because even she found herself too beautiful to look at in the mirror. Conceited or not, Alissia was indeed a beautiful girl.

She walked down the street, looking at this and that as if she had not seen it before. Her current destination was her body's original home. But she had forgotten one very, very important thing. "Where the hell am I?"

Alissia looked left and right and felt that everyone looked the same no matter which way she looked. There were rows and rows of poorly put together shanties. She was completely lost and somehow wandered into the slums of the capital. "Well, I guess I can just ask someone."

For Alissia, slums like these, while not exactly the same, were no different from the areas she grew up in, so she was not scared at all. She walked down the street looking for someone to talk to, but every person she passed quickly ran away as if she was some kind of monster.

As she walked down the street, feeling slightly helpless by everyone's reaction, she only stopped when she heard a scream not too far off. "Stay away! Leave my little sister alone!"

Alissia ran around the corner to see a young boy waving a rusted sword at two teenage boys. "You damn brat! We are just going to give your sister a better life! She will go to a nice rich noble man's house and live a life of riches!"

"You just want to sell her off and make a few silver! I am not stupid!" The young boy yelled out. He looked no more than ten years old. Skinny and malnourished, but he had a firm look in his eyes. He planned to protect his sister even if it meant dying in the process.

"You stupid brat! Since you do not want to take our goodwill, we will show you what happens!" The bigger of the teenage boys yelled out as he took the metal pipe in his hand and went to swing it down at the young boy.

The young boy who held the rusty sword quickly went to defend but ended up being kicked in the stomach by the second teenage boy knocking him down while the metal pipe of the first teenage boy swung down towards his head. The young boy panicked and closed his eyes and waited for the pain to arrive, but all he heard was the teenage boys yelling out in pain: "Ouch! You bastard! Who the hell are you!?"

"I am the hero of the weak! I slay villains who dare try to harm the innocent. Villains like you shall be vanquished!" Alissia spoke in the deepest voice she could muster up in her new tiny body as she drew her large sword and stabbed it into the ground in front of her. "Naughty boys shall be punished!"

"Villain? Hero!? Who the fuck are you kidding!? Kill this dipshit!" The bigger of the two teenage boys yelled.

Hearing him give the order to kill, Alissia could only sigh. She had hoped that the two boys in front of her would have run off since they had not really done anything wrong just yet. She hoped a scare like this might set them straight, but it seemed she had to resort to a different method of rehabilitation.

She did not know why they were so gung-ho when she had such a big sword in her hand, but that didn't matter as the teenage boy charged at her, she drew her sword from the ground, and with the flat side of her huge blade swung it like a baseball bat and smacked it into the teenage boy's body.

*Crack!*

*Boom!*

"Shit! Too forceful!" Alissia cried out. She had not meant to hit the poor boy so hard, but it was already too late. He was sent flying through the air disappearing into the sky. "Err…."

The teenage boy that was left stared at Alissia with a pale face and pure fear in his eyes. He was so scared that a pool of yellowish liquid had at some point appeared by his feet. Alissia frowned and looked at the teenage boy, and shook her head. "If you stop doing this kind of thing and actually go find work, I will let you be. Remember, adventuring is also a good way to make money so go sign up. It's free after all."

With that, she no longer looked at the teenage boy. She turned and looked at the young boy lying on the ground, seeming frozen in place. "You okay?"

The young boy only heard a warm, soothing voice enter his ears. He looked at the cloaked figure who had their face covered, unsure what to make of this person. Alissia shook her head and removed her hood, revealing her beautiful face. The young boy was even more stunned now that he could see the person under the hood.

"Brother…?" A small voice came from within the wooden shanty. A small face popped out from the darkness inside. A little girl looked out to see her brother lying on the ground and a beautiful girl staring at him. Fearing her brother was about to get hurt, she quickly ran out of the shack and ran to stand in front of him. She stretched her arms out wide and yelled out: "Don't bully my big brother!"
