That night Zane ceaselessly transformed his blood, not stopping until he passed out from exhaustion.
In the end, he finally managed to bring his blood to become 1/16th violet blood.
When he woke up in the morning, Anne was in the room in the corner, silently cultivating.
She opened her eyes seeing he woke up.
"You really shouldn't temper yourself until your drowsy… If you become too tired you might make a mistake while tempering. This could cause a slew of problems in your foundation." She said with concern.
Zane nodded.
He just continued tempering his blood until breakfast was ready.
Things passed quietly for a week.
Zane had now converted a little less than half of his blood to violet blood.
It was then that the king suddenly appeared in front of him.
"I just came back from dealing with the heaven shock wyverns. They want to apologize in person."
Zane just glanced at the king with one open eye "And you are dumb enough to believe them? You forget I'm a rare commodity right now."
While Zane was tempering over this past week he had time to think about his position, etc. So he decided to be a little smarter when dealing with the heaven shock clan.
The king's eyebrow twitched.
"What should I do then?"
"Tell me what happened. Did the prince give the order?"
The king nodded causing Zane to sigh.
'Reason doesn't always work… Oh well, guess I'll resort to violence.'
"Does he have anyone he actually likes?" Zaneasked causing the king's eyes to narrow.
'He's vicious when pissed off…' The king thought gravely.
The king thought for a moment and nodded.
"There is this girl in his harem. She was the first to join. Honestly, from what I've seen, she's a submissive little Sl** for him. But she also works hard to help him. She's the one who proposed the idea of how to get back at you as well."
Nodding he asked, "What's her foundation?"
"9th earth realm, she's doing something that can only be done in the earth realms, which is why she hasn't advanced."
"What is it?"
"Forming an earth seed. Normally most spiritualists skip this step as it's no less difficult than forming a domain, yet doesn't even have a quarter of the returns." The king replied.
"I see. Show him how it feels to have a loved one targeted. Don't just target her though, target all of those close to him."
"This… Isn't this a bit too much for you?" The king asked.
"I said targeted, not actually kidnapped, did I? However if he continues, then his clan better be ready for a few funerals."
The king gulped. 'Why do I fear this kid so much? I feel like I'm prey being watched by a predator… One mistake and I'll end up dead.'
It was then he realized he had been rather subservient to Zane these past few days.
'What the hell happened?!? Where did my pride and dignity as a wyvern king go?'
"Kid, what do I get in return for helping you?" The wyvern king asked.
Zane just glanced at the wyvern in front of him.
"What do you want out of it?"
The king frowned.
"So you don't have anything in mind?"
"In all fairness, I thought we were family. But it seems that's not the case, since you are bringing benefits into this." Zane replied.
The wyvern king frowned.
He sighed before leaving. Starting an argument would likely prove fruitless.
Moments after he left, Zane managed to finish converting half of his blood to violet blood.
Black lightning arced across his wyvern figure for a split second.
Usually, when he's tempering himself, Zane disengages his universal transformation bloodline ability. It just makes it easier to temper himself.
With the 2nd stage of the bloodline, halfway complete Zane was now in the 3rd mortal realm.
It could be said he can fight a 1st martial realm spiritualist right now. However, 2nd martial realms would be a huge stretch and it would depend on their martial spirit, the number of meridians they opened, etc.
Spiritualism is not constant, there is always variability in everyone's foundation.
A couple more weeks passed during which he sparred a few times with some martial realms and got a grasp on his strength.
It was also around this time that people began traveling to the golden dragon ruins.
Zane could now fight some early 4th martial realms and his blood was now 3/100th's amber.
Zane was cultivating when Elaine appeared.
"You need to run, take Aurora, and leave!" She said anxiously.
"What's going on?"
"People know the saint dragon clan is gone now! And they are beginning to team up and threaten us to hand you and her over. Our emperor made the promise of handing you over in 3 days!"
Zane sighed. 'Seriously?'
"He said 3 days to give you time to run with Aurora. No one would blame us if you ran."
Zane chuckled 'So… The game for survival begins. I've gotten too comfy here anyways.'
"Tell Anne, Alice, and Amelia I'm sorry I'll try to see them again in the future. Also, tell Zeldris that if I ever hear of him scheming against his own again I'm gonna beat him senseless."
Elaine nodded with misty eyes. Obviously, this was hard for her.
Elaine handed him a spatial storage necklace, it was like a spatial storage ring but in necklace form.
She put it over his neck in wyvern form, one of his bloodline abilities, Size manipulation had awakened. It allowed him to shrink himself for an indefinite period of time. Of course, it could only shrink him so much. Right now he was about the size of a carriage and that was the smallest size he could go for the moment.
Normally a saint dragon first awakens universal communication, then size manipulation which later evolves to universal size manipulation, then a limited form of universal transformation where they can only make a limited amount of changes to their form, which then later evolves to universal transformation.
He was an exception because the system had awoken universal manipulation and universal communication for him much earlier than he should have.
Zane looked in the necklace and looked appreciatively at her.
There were thousands of spirit crystals, not pellets, not stones, but full-blown crystals. This was enough to last him for at least 3 decades!
He closed his eyes, locating aurora in his spiritual sense before sending her a mental message.
[Come find me in my room, we're leaving in a few minutes.]
She was playing with Anne and pouted hearing the message.
She flapped her wings and began flying away.
"What's happening?" She mumbled.
She began following Aurora to Zane's room.
When she noticed where they were heading she nodded. She was surprised that Zane would contact Aurora while they were playing though.
Once they arrived the door opened and Elaine walked out while Zane stayed inside.
Elaine noticed Anne and motioned for her to follow.
When they walked Elaine said "The emperor refuses to protect him from the heaven shock clan. So he decided to say he would hand over Zane in 3 days while Zane's actually going to leave… If you want to say goodbye, you might be able to catch him."
Anne was surprised.
She quickly whipped her head around and noticed Zane was already flying away.
She returned to her full-sized wyvern form and flapped her wings desperately.
However she wasn't fast enough, each flap of his wings was bringing him and Aurora a mile away with each flap.
She could only watch as he grew further and further away.
Meanwhile, Zane noticed her, which is why he increased his speed.
He sighed 'It was so sudden… But that's life. Maybe in the future, we will meet again, Anne.'
Aurora had misty eyes as she understood what was happening after Zane explained to her through universal mental communication.
But she didn't fight with him over it as she understood they were in danger.
The golden earth sword entered Zane's spatial storage necklace to hide since he wanted to travel a bit low-key.
Anne sighed with a bitter feeling in her heart.
'He will probably go to the golden dragon ruins… I can meet him there. They will start in a week.'
Zane flew for several hours, following the mental map he had in his head.
He ended up passing the village that he saw in his early days of life in this world.
He hesitated but in the end, decided to keep flying.
He remembered its location.
'I'll come back here someday, just like I'll return to the hell shock wyvern clan…'
'Alright, I guess I should pay a visit to the saint dragon clan ruins, maybe I can find some more treasures there.'
With that, he changed directions using the village as a reference and arrived in a couple of minutes.
Aurora's eyes teared up instantly. She could feel this place used to be home, It was an innate feeling in her soul.
Zane sighed as he reminisced. He had only been here 3 times… this being the 3rd time.
