Chapter 2 - The Fierce Doctor

Yun Shu had the urge to cry.

Her ankle was hurting like crazy, but she could not do anything about it. Right now, the most important thing was to make sure that everyone would be alright.

No one would have thought that the bride would go crazy.

After knocking down the mistress, she turned around and beat the groom into a sorry state. Scratch that... that man was no longer the groom.

The wedding was ruined and the bride decided not to marry that scumbag.

Yun Shu was someone who always believed in her instinct. However, she did not think that her premonition would happen very quickly.

Although the company would not be losing money even after the wedding was called off, Yun Shu could already see that her boss would be very furious.

After all, no one would have expected that a lot of people would be hurt in this wedding ceremony.

Once the bride has gone rampage, her family members started to join in and fought with the groom's family.

The wedding had turned into something that resembled a gang fight.

It was bloody.

A lot of people were hurt that they had to call the ambulance.

This was the first time that she had experienced something like this. Yun Shu would never guess that being a wedding planner would be this dangerous.

Noticing that a nurse had come out of the room, Yun Shu walked over with her limping legs anxiously. "Nurse! Nurse! What happened to that woman? Is the child safe?"

Just now, the bride's mother was worried that her daughter might end up in prison for harming the mother and the unborn child. Suddenly, it has become her task to check on the mistress's condition.

The nurse gave her a look over. "Are you a family member of Miss Pei?"

"No. I'm the wedding planner."

The nurse shot her a strange look.

"It's a long story." Yun Shu heaved a long breath. "But Miss Pei was at the wedding when she had an accident. I need to know if she's going to be safe."

The nurse seemed to recall that Miss Pei was wheeled into the emergency room wearing a fancy red dress. Seeing that the woman in front of her did not look suspicious, she decided to brief her on the woman's condition. "Miss Pei and her baby is safe. This is all that I can tell you."

Yun Shu heaved a breath of relief. "Thank you."

The nurse turned around to continue her job.

Yun Shu limp back to the chair when her assistant, Shen Yan Mo walked over with an anxious look on her face. "Yan Mo! What is it? Is everything safe?"

While she was busy checking on the mistress's condition, Yun Shu sent her assistant and the staff to look after everyone who was hurt during the fight. Their job was to handle the hospital procedure and ensure that everyone would get their treatment.

"Yun Shu, what should we do?" Shen Yan Mo spoke. "The bride and the groom's family were fighting again."

"What?" Her eyes widened in surprise. Without wasting any time, Yun Shu started to limp around and followed her assistant to another hall.

When they arrived, the corridor was too chaotic.

The bride's brother was still punching the groom's face ruthlessly. The groom's family tried to stop the fight, but the bride's family was adding oil to the fire.

The security came over to stop the ruckus. However, they too were beaten ruthlessly.

Yun Shu watched the scene in front of her speechlessly.

She did not know what she should do in this situation.

Yun Shu took a step back and staggered. Before she could fall, someone appeared behind her, stopping her fall. She turned around and saw that a doctor in his white coat was watching the scene in front of them with a deep frown on his face.

"Stop now!" The doctor shouted loudly. "This is the hospital, not your backyard!"

The fight halted the moment they heard the doctor's angry voice.

"If you are not here to get treatment, then I suggest you leave before I call the police," the doctor spoke again. "You're disturbing everyone else who came over to get their treatment!"

The bride's brother looked at the doctor unhappily. He stepped forward, intending to beat the doctor as well. However, his father then whispered something in his ear. Quickly, the bride's brother's expression changed and he stayed there obediently.

"We're sorry," the bride's father spoke. "Doctor Qi Zheng, we won't fight anymore."

Hearing the name, everyone's expressions started to change. They began to look at the doctor in fear.

Yun Shu quickly noticed how the bride's father was speaking politely to the doctor.

It was clear that the bride's father knew this doctor and was a little afraid of him. However, Yun Shu had not noticed the respected look on the bride's father's face.

At this time, she was too concerned about what was going on between her clients.

She was still at work and she needed to settle everything quickly. Yun Shu whispered some instructions to her assistant and watched as her staff separate the bride and the groom's family away from each other.

Ignoring the pain around her ankle, Yun Shu began to walk over to the bride's side, wanting to help them to calm down.

However, before she could go far, someone tugged on her arms.

Yun Shu turned around and saw that the ferocious doctor was looking at her. "Yes? Can I help you?"

"Miss, don't you want your legs anymore?" Qi Zheng spoke. He eyed the woman's ankle with a deep frown on his face. "Your injury was already at this stage, and you continue to walk around? Are you crazy?"

Yun Shu stared back at the man with a dumbfounded look on her face. She was in shock, finding that she was suddenly scolded by this doctor.

"Come with me."

Before she could utter a word, the doctor had already carried her in his arms before she was taken to the treatment room and placed on the bed.

The man grabbed her ankle and frowned in displeasure. "Your ankle has already turned black and blue and you still walk around like this."

Her lips parted to defend herself. However, the moment she met the doctor's fierce gaze, Yun Shu could only swallow the words she wanted to say.

Yun Shu inhaled a sharp breath as the doctor moved her feet around. Cold sweats formed on her forehead. She wanted to scream but could only bear the pain for fear that she was going to be scolded again.

The doctor turned around and spoke with the nurse. Then, he helped her to compress some ice around her ankle.

Only then that Yun Shu felt a little better.

She glanced at her ankle and was shocked at the color. Just now, she had ignored the pain as she was too busy settling the mess. She had not expected that the injury would be this bad.

Qi Zheng glanced at the stubborn patient and spoke, "With this kind of injury, you have to rest for a few weeks. Try not to put on any pressure on your ankle." He gave her a few reminders as he helped to bandage the injury. "I will prescribe the medicine. If your condition worsens, you have to remember to come back to the hospital."

Yun Shu nodded obediently. Then, she watched as the doctor turned around and instructed the nurse to look after her.
