Kai searched for him Mom but he couldn't find her in the extravagant sitting room. Ascended upstairs to search the rooms if he could find him Mom. He came across Amy...
"I haven't met you in person but look at how cute and alluring you are. I'm Amy" She brought out her hand for a handshake. Kai raised a brow as he shaked her.
"I'm..."
"I know your name already..... Melissa told me about you. I've been with your Mom since when she got pregnant with you" Amy smiled.
"I know...my mom told me her past story" Kai said. He stared with her with an uninterested eyes. He didn't want to have a conversation with her when he knows about the state of his wife.
"Where's my mom?" Kai immediately asked before Amy could say anything.
"She's in her room thinking about Elisa. I've told her not to bother about it but she's so adamant and stubborn" Amy pouted.
"Where's her room?" Kai asked and Amy pointed at the red door just a few meter away from him.
"Thanks" Kai walked fast to the door. He opened the door and entered his mother's room.
"Stop making this a habit Kai, learn to knock before entering my room" Melissa said flatly.
"Sorry Mom" Kai said lowly and Melissa sensed that something was wrong. Even if nature took some important things from her, it didn't take a her great sense.
"Doris' mom is dead" Kai said with his head turned downwards. Melissa's jaw dropped I'm disbelief.
"And Doris?" She asked. Kai sighed.
"She sent me out of the room and she is crying bitterly" Kai voice cracked.
"I can't help to feel that it's my fault. Just because of the throne many innocent souls were killed" Kai bit his lower lip.
"It's not your fault dear. Nobody wanted this to happen and pls don't blame yourself for Doris' mom death. She will overcome it in the mean time. She's just in shock" Melissa tried suppressing the guilty in her son's heart.
"Go on and stay with her. She needs you the most now" Melissa told Kai and Kai turned his gaze to her. He felt hesitant for a while but his Mom kept on insisting, he decided to go back and meet his wife.

Doris curved herself on the bed as she used the blanket to cover her body, including her head. She is devastated. Obviously, she was now an orphan. Doris doesn't know where to start.
"Get out Kai. I don't want to sleep with you tonight" Doris said loudly from under the blanket immediately she felt someone's presence beside her. Doris got no reply, she hastily removed the blanket from her body, her eyes searched around but she couldn't see anyone. Doris was sure that someone is in the room with her.
"Show yourself or I'll kill you" Doris red, swollen eyes looked threatening but she got no reply. Doris studied every corner of the room as she still laid on the bad, suddenly her eyes caught sight of a glass standing on the hair. Doris stood up from the bed and approached it. As Doris was getting nearer to it, the glass up fell down and broke into pieces.
"Show yourself!" Doris sternly said but nothing seem to change. The door immediately got opened and it was shut back. Terror gripped her heart. It was as of someone just left the room, noticing that someone was coming in.
Kai opened the door and entered. Doris hastily jumped on him and gave him a tight hug.
"Kai?" Doris said slowly as her heart pounded fast.
"Mmn....I'm sorry." Kai said apologetically. He knew it wouldn't be easy for her as it wasn't easy for him when he lost his father.
"I'm scared, Kai" Doris uttered and Kai withdrew from the hug. He cupped her face with his palms.
"It's okay. I'm right beside you" Kai assured her and Doris hugged him tight again. Her anger for Kai had already disappeared. Doris fell asleep and she almost slipped from Kai's hold but Kai caught her. He scooped her in his arms and lay her gently on the bed.
"You really something else, Doris" Kai uttered slowly as he placed his fingers on Doris' dried lip.
"I don't exactly know what it is but it feels really great when you are beside me. You saved me from death yesterday and today you are very angry with me" Kai whispered.
"You are the best wife ever. Only you does what a best friend would do, a wife , a mother and an enemy would do" He remembered when Doris fought with his Mother and then began punching hard on the face.
"I love you now and I want to live the rest of my life in your arms. I've been so neglectful that I never included you in my future plans. I want to live up for my mistakes and shower you with affection. I want to be a good husband to you from today onwards. I promise you that I will never leave your side, I will never make you cry because of me or my foolishness. I want to make you happy now and forever" Kai planted a kiss on her forehead. Tears rolled down from the corner of Doris' eye. Kai smiled towards the sleepin' Doris, Kai gently laid beside her on the bed.

"And where are you going?" Gideon frowned and Amanda heaved a sigh of relief.
"I thought I was being chased by witches not knowing it was you" Amanda pouted her lips as she bent slightly, resting her hands on her kneel.
