Doris was back into her room,she couldn't fathom how they did that but she was happy that she was unharmed. Suddenly, a guy with blazing red eyes barged into the room. Doris was scared to her death. Kai red eyes disappeared back to it normal blue eyes immediately he saw Doris.
"How the hell? Where did you go?" Kai hugged Doris tightly as he sked her those questions. Doris couldn't say a word as Kai tightened the hug.
"I can't breathe, Kai" Doris barely said and Kai immediately released her.
"Sorry bout that. I was scared when I didn't see you." Kai eyes were filled with worries. Doris placed her hands on his cheek and gave him a genuine smile. She didn't know how to bring this matter up that she was just coming from the sea and she's a mermaid.
"I'm back now, Kai" Doris said and Kai cupped her cheek.
"Tell me, where are you coming from?" Kai asked. He knew that Doris was still hiding something from him but he didn't make a fuss about it yesterday. He wanted to know it all today.
"I don't know how I left here but I'm just coming from the sea" Doris bit her lip as she said it. Kai looked confused.
"Sea?" He repeated.
"Yes, I'm ....a.. Mermaid" Doris bit her finger immediately she said it. Kai created a distance from her.
Doris expected this!!! Mermaids are creatures no one should joke with or come across with. They are known as wicked and heartless mysterious creature. Kai's heart felt like it wanted to jump out from his chest. He was dumbstruck. He couldn't utter a word as he kept moving away from her until his back hit the door. Doris head was turned downward. she never wanted this too.
"Just tell me you are joking" Kai cold voice turned in the room as his eyes became devilish red. Tears rolled down her cheek.
"So, you kept this from us for how long? " Kai asked as tears rolled down his eyes. His red eyes stared at her murderously.
"I just learn about it today" Doris tried defending herself even if she knew it wasn't needed. At this point in time, nothing would ever make Kai listen to her
"You are our greatest enemy and yet I've been sleeping with you and kissing you" Kai punched the wall hard and it cracked. Doris heart was pounding faster. This wouldn't end well!!! Why did she say it??
"I don't want this as well, Kai. I love you so much, pls don't be like this now" Doris begged as she cried. She tried approaching Kai but he disappeared out of the room. Doris couldn't hold this grieve anymore. She dashed out of the room. She made her attempt to look for Kai, perhaps she could calm him.
Descending down the stairs, she saw Kai and his mother together. From the sight, she could see that Melissa was trying to stop her son from leaving the palace.
"Kai?" Doris called him and Kai's eyes shifted to her.
"Don't come near me, Doris. I can kill you" He threatened. Why out of all creatures, why would it have to be his wife? Why that miserable creature? Vampires and Mermaids are not friendly thoughtless of getting married and having sex together.
"Did she know about this and that's why she made him love her?" Foolish thought began to invade Kai's memory.
"Stand back, Doris!!" Melissa yelled at her with anger. Doris immediately halted. She has never seen Melissa like this before. Does she hate her now for what she is? Why???
"Don't come anyway near my son!! Why a mermaid? You know how much we hate the Mermaids and yet you have the guts to decieve my son all this while pretending that you are a mere human!" Melissa walked closer to her and then Melissa choked Doris neck. Everybody's eyes widened.
Gideon and Amanda halted in their track as soon as they saw Doris crying and Melissa's hand encircled her neck.
"I'm sorry, Kai. I never knew about this! I'm shocked myself that I even have a second mother" Doris yelled out but Melissa didn't released her. Kai's eyes widened as he looked shocked at her last sentence. Kai didn't want to believe more lies coming from her. He couldn't stop his mom from killing Doris. Doris didn't want to free herself from Melissa became she didn't want to commit more sin.
Gideon dashed towards Melissa as he roughly pulled Melissa's hand away from his princess neck. Doris stumbled backwards as she couldn't catch her breath. Gideon caught her before she could fall and he scooped the breathless Doris in his arms. Melissa and Kai looked shocked at Gideon's audacious action.
"What the hell?" Melissa thundered and Gideon didn't give a bulge.
"I can't let you hurt the person I serve because of you found out about her identity. I will continue to serve her for whatever she is. That's true love!!' Gideon spatted out and then he leapt out of the palace. Amanda turned into a black bird and followed him. Kai froze that instant. He couldn't believe his ears.
"Haha! I can't believe that Doris has bewitched everyone here. Even her guard still adores her for what she is" Melissa laughed sarcastically but everyone's reaction was still the same. Amy couldn't say a word.
She couldn't believe that the girl she called her sister is the same girl in front of her. Melissa had changed and had become something undescribable. She looked more wicked and souless. Amy created a long distance from her since she noticed her new change and Melissa didn't even bother. Amy is now worried about Doris that everyone now hates. That poor child! Her husband now has turned his back against her.
Amy left the scene and went outside the palace.
Kai fell on the floor as tears rolled down his eyes. He couldn't concentrate on a thing. His thoughts were crowed and confusing. Kai roared out loudly.
"Doris? Mermaid?....A forbidden thing! Are you truly a mermaid?" Kai asked himself. He didn't know what to say or think anymore. He could only cry at this bad new.
