Doris came out of the cave that Gideon and Amanda had brought her into. She couldn't sleep as her thoughts were crowded. She didn't know how to sought them out. She paced back and forth as she bit her fingernails trying to digest everything that happened in just one day.
She found out she was a mermaid, she has a mermaid mother who turns out to be the queen of the sea. Kai and his mother turned their back against her because her identity turns out to be the mysterious creature that hated.
"How's all this my fault?" Doris lips trembled the moment she thought of Kai. She couldn't help it but feel her end was near because her husband sees her as his enemy.
Doris' eyes instantly widened.
"Show yourself" Doris instantly said as she waited for the creature to make itself known to the atmosphere. Doris knew that someone was around her and the person didn't show herself despite being caught.
"Show yourself, Emily" Doris mentioned the girl's name and the girl instantly came into view. Doris studied her as she moved closer to her but Doris looked at her legs and she couldn't see them.
"I'm surprised and happy and the same time that you know my name" Emily started her speech neglecting Doris' widened eyes. Doris wanted to say a word but she didn't know how to start it.
"Your mom sent me here to guard you. I'm sorry if you find it annoying that I'm stalking you. But seriously, I love being around you. There's something in you that I can't describe" Emily breathed out as she sighed swirling around with an ecstatic smile like 'Alice in the wonder land'. Doris' mind wasn't in what she was saying even if she heard what she said.
"You don't have legs?" Doris speech hit her hard. She knitted her brows as she stared at Doris, who's gaze was till on her invisible feet. Emily sighed in wonder.
"Hey girl, I'm a mermaid and not human or vampires or witches. I can never be them, anyway" She said with irritation as she mentioned those three creatures. With the tone used to pronounce those creatures, one could tell how much she deeply has acrimony towards them.
"But you are on land. Can't you grow legs?" Doris' eyes beamed with curiosity as she blinked towards Emily in anticipation for her answer. She looked like elementary students who is anxiously waiting for her teacher's response.
"Grow legs? That's damn crazy. We do have legs tho but I can't walk on land. I will just keep falling" She explained the reason why her legs were invincible to the sight.
The elementary student mouth formed 'o'
She nodded in response. Now, she could understand the reason why her legs were invincible.
"Your husband is coming. I'm still around tho? Don't fuck yourselves this time because I won't close my eyes. I would love to see your husband's dick, anyway" Her voice was filled with seriousness but her attitude shows that she was joking.
Kai came into view and Doris blinked continuously. She didn't know if she was hug him or remain in her position.
