Amanda and Gideon went back to the witches palace late at night after finding a safe place for Princess Doris. Amanda and Gideon walked through the long corridor heading to their room without uttering a word.
Amanda couldn't put up with this silence. She silently prayed for someone to say something because it was damn killing her. Today, she had her first kiss with him thinking everything would be okay, but she got it all wrong. He became further apart from her.
"Where's my wife?" Kai appeared in front of the two silent couples causing them to hold their breath. Gideon thought that everyone would be asleep by now but he got it all wrong. This vampire prince wouldn't stand a chance. Gideon just stared at him with an unfathomable expression.
"Don't just stare at me and tell me, where I can find my wife?" Kai's voice became more cold as he stare at the both of them. Amanda had never have the chance to speak to this icy man, one on one but the chilling from his voice, she could sense that this man, was really something unjoking.
"She's somewhere safe. She is fine wherever she is, your highness" He said respectfully even if he didn't want to. He hated what his Highness has chosen to become because he found out about his wife's true identity. Kai glared at him because that wasn't the answer he wanted to her.
Despite his nasty behavior to her, she was still his wife and deserved to know about his wife's whereabouts.
"Where is she?" The dark aura Kai's attitude was emitting didn't reduce a bit after hearing Gideon's words.
"She's in the wood." Gideon said with his head faced down.
"Show me!" Kai demanded attempting to leave but he noticed that Gideon wasn't leaving his position. He halted in his track as he shot Gideon a questioning look.
"She's in the cave at the middle of the forest. She demanded me to leave her there. You can go there" Gideon did his final bow for the day and left. Amanda gently followed him behind.
Kai didn't waste anymore minutes, he hastily went in search of his wife.
"Gideon? At least talking isn't prohibited right?" Amanda finally heaved a sigh as they got into their room. Gideon faced her with an undescribable expression.
"There's nothing to say to you. Forget about what we did today and move on with your life. Giving you room to talk to me will make it hard for you to move on" Gideon explained but Amanda resisted. She didn't want him to move farther away from her. She wanted to be close to him and make him feel loved. She wouldn't give up on him. Never!!
"Stop it Gideon..." Amanda tried touching him but the guy shifted back. Amanda's eyes were weighed down with disappointment and sadness.
Honestly, she was damn confused on how to start her move toward him.
"I won't stop loving you, Gideon. I'm willing to risk my life" She said candidly but in a low pitched tone. Being a full blooded vampire, Gideon clearly heard her words and he gulped hard. This girl was damn so adamant and stubborn.
