Isabella drew a startled breath and she moved past what seemed to be the heaviest doors she had ever seen with her eyes. Dr. Sanchez walked before her with a military gait.
Isabella could barely keep up his pace. All through the aisle they'd taken to this door, all she could think of was about what would happen if she suddenly turned her back now and decided to leave, how that would affect her present and even her future.
The previous night, Dr. Sanchez had sent her away to get some rest and resume the next day because she seemed beside herself with fear. With that kind of emotion, it was hard for her to focus on anything.
