The man smiled to himself and he walked out of the cosmetic gallery. His visit had not been in vain after all. Diaz Bahl had kept to his words. The making of the silicon had not particularly been difficult, at least not from what he saw.
All he had to do was wait in the anteroom while Diaz did all the dirty work. He figured he couldn't have waited for more than an hour when Diaz returned, mask in hand.
The man had been awestruck for more than a full minute when the mask was handed over to him. It looked so real. When he tried it on his face and it fitted him perfectly, he was beside himself with excitement.
Outwardly, he smiled cautiously at Diaz and thanked him for a job well done. Diaz, now afraid of what Vanessa would do when she found out from him that he had not gone easy on him at first, begged him to not breathe a word about what happened to Vanessa Winthrop.
