Gregory Jefferson was one of the oldest staff that had ever worked with Vanessa Winthrop. He'd started off working for Vanessa's father, and when the old man died, he felt a strong sense of loyalty to his family and decided to remain with Vanessa Winthrop, and serve her just like he served her father.
Vanessa was a good boss in all regards. He enjoyed working with her. Even though the job kept him away from his family most of the time, he made enough money every month to give them a comfortable life. That was enough compensation for all the stress he put himself through in serving Vanessa Winthrop.
Gregory was perhaps the most hardworking and committed staff Gregory under Vanessa's roof. It gave him an edge above the others. But he had a character flaw: getting angry easily. And even right now, as he heard the words of Detective Hanson escape from his mouth, he could already guess where the conversation was headed and he was not sure he wanted to deal with it.
