"I don't have money," Ulv muttered, still saddened by the revelation.
"Oof," Odin responded as let Ulv regain himself.
The store stayed silent for a while before Ulv got up and said.
"Is it really possible to save humanity?"
"For you, it's an impossible task you're trying to create not destroy after all creation is harder than destruction you wouldn't be awed if someone destroyed reality but you would kneel in awe and respect to the one that created it," Odin said as he got up.
"Then can you save my world and help us connect to the surviving world from the stellar exodus that hasn't joined the imperium?" Ulv asked.
[First mission obtained!]
[connect the world of Axis-9 to the other remaining 19 worlds from the early colonization of humanity
Reward: level 3 Data shard (3000-4000A.D)
Failure: humanities extinction draws closer ]
[achievement: first mission! Reward obtained]
[enhancement talisman]
A black talisman soon appeared in the air, the red runes inscribed on the near abyssal paper gave off a sense of power and authority. Odin grabbed it and tore it in half, and the power within the talisman entered his body.
[you should have given me time to explain it. The talisman will make you reach the same power as the peak human during the sentinel war, meaning the emperor of humanity, your body will change heavily and you will suffer a lot of pain.]
Odin felt as if countless insects made of fire had entered his body. His heart thumped irregularly as it was transformed. His body ached as he grew in height and in muscle mass.
His body was in a state of dying and reviving as his body was turned into something beyond the average person who we know.
Starting at the ceiling, Odin gasped for breath as the pain quickly left. In between gasps, Odin muttered.
"Worth it."
Odin lifted his hand and saw his muscular arm. After gaining enough strength, he got up and looked at the shocked Ulv. Odin had noticed that he had become taller much taller than even the space marine.
'How tall am I?' Odin asked the system.
[Imperial standard]
'Yeah, you lost me when you used a measurement I don't know.'
[Imperial standard is the requirements needed to be qualified to be an emperor heights intelligence muscles density white blood cell count everything and anything must reach the base to be qualified to become emperor]
'Ok, but how tall am I?'
[4.5 meters. Would you like to know more about your body?]
'Yeah.'
[life expectancy increased by 45,000 years
Physical attributes increased
Enhanced cognitive awareness
Enhanced adaptation
Enhanced soul ]
[you have basically reached the power level the emperor had during his youth before the war. As time goes on, your power will increase until you fully reach the same level the emperor was when he slew the God of the Sentinels]
'How fucking strong was the fucker? I knew he slew a God, but geez, isn't this too overpowered?' Odin asked as he looked at his body.
[compared to the horror and enemies outside his power could be considered barely notable]
'Holy shit, good thing I won't have to deal with that. Never thought I would be happy to be in the 40k world than the futuristic parallel world.' Odin said as he chuckled a bit.
'But I still feel like this won't be enough for 40k considering there are giant ass titans and the like, but I doubt ill deal with them at all.'
'But the real question is, how strong am I compared to a space marine?'
[if you fought against a custodes it would be like fighting a baby]
'Armored or in armored?'
[armored]
'God damm in a living God!'
[heh I don't wish to ruin the moment, but a private matches your physical strength. During the war, there were even people that matched the emperor's power without magic and they were only simple lieutenants]
[the world of Warhammer is dangerous but not even close to level 7, 8, 9, and 10 universes each is on a different dimension]
'Then what level is the parallel earth and also mine?'
[your universe is level 9 and the parallel, also known as the prime universe, is level 10.]
[in that universe there are so many beings that can destroy reality or create universes, but even they are seen as the weakest beings.]
[the prime universe is where the creator lives. of course, there are many soul shards in every universe so he is also in yours but they only have 1 centillionth of his power yet any universe that has him is automatically a level 9+ universe]
'You know I feel good not having that existential dread of a guy who could just erase me for no reason other than he probably forgot I exited or something.'
[yes once you see the peak, you see that it was only a small mound and the real peak is yet to come]
During this entire conversation, Ulv had been looking at Odin in shock to Ulv it had been a few seconds, but Odin had an entire conversation with his system.
To Odin, every new ability he had gained and his new strength felt natural, which he liked. He didn't want to accidentally crush something with his brute strength.
His senses had reached a new level. His sense of touch had reached the point where even the radiant body heat could be felt from far away. His eyes were like a hawk as he could zoom in even further the before even seeing the spiritual energy of what kind though he did not know.
His sense of time could be controlled metabolically, allowing him to slow down time or speed it up at will. His sense of hearing had reached the point that he guesses even on a battlefield downed in gunfire, he could probably hear the sound of guardsmen heart beat.
His organs had reached a new level. His lungs worked efficiently, drawing in. Oxygen. He felt like he had. augmented lungs. He did not need to breathe much anymore. His heart slowly thumped, sending genetically enhanced blood all over his body.
His intestines could absorb all the nutrients of his food efficiently, meaning he could get 100% of his daily caloric intake and use less energy to absorb the calories.
'Oh yeah, how am I supposed to help them?'
[you will go to the world of Axis-9 and recover their lost technology and help them fend off the beast of their world]
'Ok, another question I'm not level 5, so how am I going to axis-9?'
[I am the system. I can bend the rules and even it's a mission so you can travel to the location, it would be stupid to give you a mission you can't do]
'Oh ok well, I think I have all I can gain and I doubt it'll be a challenge.'
'That's what they call raising a flag, but then again I meddled with the 40k universe so it will be quite easier than normal.' a soft voice said.
'That you guardian?'
'Yeah, have fun on your mission kido.'
'Thanks.'
"So good news kid I'm going to help your world out now lead the way!" Odin yelled, his voice seeming to shake the store.
Ulv looked at Odin, still with the same shock, before he turned around and walked out while Odin followed him.
His black armor covered him as he entered the world of Axis-9.
"Nothing like impending genocide to get you excited right little system?" the guardian spoke but received only a beep in response.
