"Long ago our ancestors came from a world called Earth during the age known as the Stellar Exodus back in the 14 thousands."
"We came from a colonial ship known as the Freya, but because of unexpected errors, we navigated off course and ended up here in the world of Axis-9 back in 22,467."
"Our world of Axis-9 is the only planet in this star system and during the great war with the natives of this world we lost most of our technology so we can not leave our world or contact Earth."
"Still, our warriors protect us using their EVO suits that function as a good armor that can withstand heavy attacks."
Inside what seemed to be a high school classroom, a woman taught the class as she clicked on a projector. The projector displayed a green a blue planet titled Earth many sky scrapes and ships lined the world. It soon switched to a world that looked similar but was more primitive looking than earth it was titled Axis-9.
The kids looked bored as they looked at the images. One boy yawned and placed his chin on his palm as he ate his gum. A girl was whispering to her friend, ignoring the lesson.
At the back, a kid quietly scribbled on his notebook as he looked up to the image and then back to his notebook. The notebook was written in an unintelligible language. It looked like a mix of Dutch and Spanish and some Asian language.
'I wonder how the Earth looks. By now, it must be a utopia. I bet they don't have to worry about food or water. Even the air must be better!'
'I bet theirs lots of scientists and many important people who are living happily there.' the boy thought as he wrote in the notebook.
'I'll visit Earth one day. ill develop faster than light travel and reach it someday when I do our people won't struggle anymore!' the boy said as he drew a ship flying towards a circle that had an arrow titling it as Earth.
The bell rang, and the kids quickly packed up and left as the school day had finally ended. The boy placed his stuff in his backpack before he ran out, heading home to see his dad.
The boy was named Ulv, and he was the son of a famous scientist that tried to get the people of Axis-9 connected with Earth. Since the people had arrived at Axis-9, they had to restart anew as they had lost their technology. After a long struggle, they had reached the same development as the 21st century.
The people of Axis-9 had met many horrors in this world constantly being attacked by beasts, but the warriors and knights of the city thwarted it. The warriors wore thick armor that was once been an environmental suit used in hazardous environments. The knights piloted giant robots that could easily fend against a dreadnought beast that was tens of meters tall.
Many children aspired to become a knight or warriors, but Ulv wanted to be a scientist like his father. He wanted to bring his people to the same level as the Earth was and even match it as it was now.
Yet this youth and the people of this world knew not of the extinction of humanity. They did not know that outside their world were only savage beasts that took the image of humans.
To contact them was to sentence your world to death. It was better to die by exterminatus than to join them.
As Ulv made his way home, he heard a song playing. It seemed to be in a language he did not know. His curiosity got the best of him, and he followed the sound. Walking in an empty alleyway, he found a door leading to another part of the alleyway. The music was clearly coming from here Ulv opened the wood gate and entered sneakily.
Ulv did not know he would stumble upon a mythical store that would decide the fate of their universe.
Looking around, Ulv saw empty shelves and doors with symbols of items and names below them. In what he assumed was the counter were nine vials holding a mysterious liquid.
Ulv soon heard footsteps and saw a young man exit out of one of the doors that said vehicles. The two looked at each other before the young man said.
"Hello welcome to Valhöll. How may I help you today?"
Ulv looked confused. He could clearly tell that the man was not speaking his language, yet he understood it perfectly.

Ulv introduced himself and Odin asked a few questions before finding out that Ulv came from a world that was split from the imperium. Odin felt pity for the boy, who held excitement for contacting Earth.
He used his phone and went to the Warhammer 40k wiki and handed it to the boy and explained about what had happened and how the store worked.
The hope in Ulv's eyes faded as he learned about the struggles and then subsequent failure of man. He, since young, had thought of Earth as a utopia, but now it was an irradiated world that was sacred by fanatical worshipers of a corpse emperor.
The life was hell on other worlds and it seemed better to call it a utopia than whatever the rest of the worlds were. The hope to see Earth had faded and only a deep sadness was felt within him.
"Don't be like that. My store will return humanity to its glory, don't you worry!" Odin said cheerfully, but he knew it was probably a hopeless endeavor.
"So, do you wanna buy something?" Odin said as he sat down in his chair.
