Chapter 24 - Cool Wen Yu

Another voice sniggered. "Ah, junior sister Hong I did. Does he even know what it means to instruct? What were they thinking?"

"Exactly the same thing I thought. An idiot who has no hope of ever graduating trying to instruct juniors. I'm afraid those juniors would never make it into this Academy."

They both laughed. "It would be a miracle if they don't end up becoming idiots like him, " The teenage male voice said.

The boys all scrunched up their faces when they heard this dialogue and Qi San directly stood up.

He strode out of their cubicle to the next one and kicked the door violently. When the door didn't budge, he applied his spirit energy and kicked it again. The door caved in.

Wen Yu's brow raised when he saw this. The kid was quite strong, that was plexi-gamma metal! A variation of the gamma metal. It might not be as strong, but it was still the next best thing!

Qi San wasn't worried about destroying the academy's property as that kick was not enough to completely destroy the door that had premium self repair functions and was already slowly morphing back into shape.

The seniors, who looked to be around fourteen, widened their eyes when they saw three five year olds walk in through the misshaped cubicle door with the fat one glaring daggers at them.

The shortest one just pouted at them unhappily and the last kid just stared at them with a cold, indifferent look.

The girl's expression morphed into one of displeasure and she asked arrogantly, "What is the meaning of this?"

"What do you mean by that question? Do you think that just because you have a mouth, you could run it however you please?!" Qi San shouted.

The teenage boy smacked the maglev table before him angrily and Huo Lan jumped slightly.

"Are you asking for death? What gave you, a brat in the blue uniform, the right to barge in here and question us? Whose liver did you eat to make you so bold?"

Wen Yu tsked inwardly. He'd followed after Qi San because he was afraid this would happen. The kid was too controlled by his emotions and acted first before thinking.

The cadets before them were seniors and following the harsh requirements of Lingxiu Academy, they were probably already in the Azure Phase.

Qi San, with all his strength, should be in his Yellow Phase, a foot in the Green Phase at most. Was it really wise to openly go against people who could easily crush you with a finger?

In the end he couldn't even blame the kid for his impulsiveness. He was, after all, still a child.

"So what if we're pre-enrolled cadets in blue uniforms, what can you do to us? Do you really think we'd be afraid of you because of your uniforms? You look ugly in them anyways!"

Wen Yu: '...' If you're seeking death, do it on your own. Was there any need to involve other people?

The girl stood up and directed a wave of her spirit energy at them with a humph.

Qi San and Huo Lan directly flew out of the cubicle and smashed into the wall. Qi San grit his teeth and slowly stood up whilst Huo Lan just remained flat on the floor. He looked like he'd lost all will to keep on living.

Both seniors' eyes shook when they noticed Wen Yu was still standing unperturbed. The girl was even more confused.

She'd used 15% of her spirit energy, that should have been enough to deal with these roaches so why was this one still standing? It couldn't be that he was a peerless genius... Right?

Wen Yu just stared at them coldly and held back Qi San who was about to rush back into the cubicle for a fight.

"If you put in half the energy you use in gossiping into your assimilation, you both would probably have been valedictorians of your set and not random characters at the bottom of the academy ladder."

There was no need to ask how he knew these cadets were in the average category. There was not a single star on their shoulders. Exceptional students of Lingxiu Academy were usually awarded with stars for their achievements, just like in the army.

He walked out of the cubicle dragging Qi San behind him. He helped Huo Lan up with his other hand and they all left the library.

He wasn't worried about the seniors attacking him because of his words. They were not fools and would certainly be cautious against someone who wasn't affected by spirit energy of the Azure Phase.

When they got far enough, Qi San grabbed Wen Yu's arm and stared at him with stars in his eyes. "You! Are you really that strong?"

Even Huo Lan stared at him in worship and nodded like an old man. "As expected of a kid from a well known family. Ah I'm so envious."

Wen Yu scratched his nose in embarrassment. He was not strong at all! He wore his energy dispersing ring as a necklace around his neck and that was why the senior's spirit energy had no effect on him.

The energy dispersing ring was a premium item that belonged to his father, a Spirit master of the pseudo Crystallized god level zone, so of course it was good stuff.

It was effective against all spirit energies below the Obsidian Phase. He looked at the boys' gazes full of admiration. He'd never felt so cool before!

He decided to enjoy this for a while. He wasn't as talented as the rest and might be kicked out in a year anyways so he might as well enjoy this.

The boys arrived at their dorm and Qi San and Huo Lan were being extra attentive towards Wen Yu. Wen Yu was about to grab a milk packet but Qi San reached out and got it for him, opening it on the way.

Wen Yu smiled wryly and laid on his bed. "You don't have to do this." Really, I'm afraid you'd smash me to bits when you realize the truth ah.

He accepted it anyways and sipped on it as he looked through the information he was able to gather from the library.

A quick glance up and he found Qi San and Huo Lan staring down at him with huge, fawning, smiles.

'...'

What has he gotten himself into?
