Lori's lips were as soft and warm as he imagined them to be. Even though his mind was occupied with thousands of questions, the fragrance of her perfume, the silkiness of her hair and the taste of milk coffee still lingering on her lips, were enough to make him lose his mind.
Lori's lips slightly parted allowing his tongue to slip inside. He eventually pulled her towards him to make her sit on his lap as both fumbled to take off one another's clothes.
While the atmosphere inside his office room continued to turn hotter, the sound of his wife's heels approaching his office room became louder and louder, echoing through the empty hallway...
Edward naturally had no idea about his wife's presence in his boutique but Lori obviously knew and it wasn't as simple as it seemed, rather it was complicated enough to be a part of Lori's unknown 'plan'. As Edward pressed his lips against her collar bone with his hands gently sliding under her gown, Lori looked at the door smugly waiting for his wife to arrive at the scene, while delicately running her fingers through his hair. Not even a minute later, the door slowly opened without making any sound and his wife's small peeking head could be seen. Eventually both of their eyes met, one of which looked calm and delicate, yet filled with viciousness while the other looked surprisingly emotionless which disappointed Lori. She never expected this. She had been eagerly waiting to witness those pair of eyes filled with horror and glittery tears, breaking her heart into pieces and to be able to witness each and every emotion and pain that she would go through. Instead, his wife gently shut the door and left. Edward, who was completely clueless about his wife's presence, glanced at Lori's eyes which were filled with disappointment. Confused by her look, he just opened his lips to ask her what was bothering her but was interrupted by the ringing of the telephone. Annoyed and not wanting to pick it up, he lazily stretched his hand towards it. The ringing stopped before his hands could reach and not even a minute later, the telephone started ringing again.
Lori who was already irritated by his wife's unexpected expression said in a cold voice, "Why don't you just pick it up? The noise is giving me a headache."
"Oh- sorry... ok...let me pick up then.....", he answered awkwardly, bewildered by her sudden mood change. At last, he picked up the call.
"Hello, who is it?"

"Fuck! Okay no need to worry! I'm coming as soon as possible.", he answered anxiously.
"What's the matter?", Lori asked as she was curious about what it was that could possibly make him so nervous and tensed.
"She fainted! I need to go as soon as possible!", he replied evidently panicking.
Lori's eyes widened. She could not believe her eyes and ears. Edward wasn't just simply anxious, but looked like as if he was almost going to break down as soon as he heard the news, that too just about that wife of his, in the most unexpected way.
Moreover, his wife was there at the boutique not long ago, then how the hell did she end up fainting in her own house which was quite far from the boutique?
She clenched her fist with anger though keeping a fake worried look intact in her eyes. "Yeah, you should leave fast." , she said in the most delicate way with watery eyes, as her voice cracked a little bit to emphasize the tension in her voice.
He hurriedly wore his coat and left in the blink of an eye without even bidding her goodbye. A tear quietly rolled down her cheek. Not being able to hold it in, she burst into tears. Yes, she was raging, she was so furious that she wanted to destroy each and every object in that room, but breaking down into tears was what she had been doing her whole life. She had always been too sensitive and would cry at the tiniest bit of every existing problems. But this! This wasn't just a small problem, rather a huge one...her plan wasn't working the way she wanted to which was too hard for her to bear....
"Where is she!? How's she!!!??", Edward cried out impatiently. He himself was unable to process whatever the hell was happening. Never in his life, had he ever cared for her. Then what the hell happened that day? His emotions were running high and were out of his control. It felt as if his body too wasn't under his control. His feet unintentionally started moving towards his room where his wife was kept. Gently, he opened the door of the room which prompted the maids, who were looking after her, to leave. He quietly walked up to her and sat beside her.
"How are you feeling now?", he asked, tenderly placing his hand on her forehead.
"Better"
"Good....."
"You don't love her, do you?"
"Huh?......"
