"I'm sorry Juri," said Juval quietly. The fire had long since burned out from his eyes. "It's just that I saw you in the arms of another man and I could barely think straight, forgive me. I said you should be better at trusting me but maybe I need to do some inner work of my own."
After witnessing such an appalling scene the last thing Juri was expecting to hear from Juval was an apology. It had been a night of shocks and it seemed her own husband wasn't done adding to the list.
"I'll be willing to let the matter drop if you explain what happened between you and Princess Lucinda?"
"Lucinda?" He was shocked.
Juval had expected her to unleash her anger about his treatment of her ex vampire lover and not attack him about his past. Especially about Lucinda he was still upset that the princess had managed to hoodwink him and lived to see another day.
