ACE POV:
I was shocked beyond measures!
It was....., magical creatures from God-knows-where!
"Em, Qil, he's right behind you" one said in a comical tone.
"Whatever, he can't hear us".
Doesn't seem so to me".
"Mind if I join the discussion?".
I was shocked at myself! Whatever I spoke just now wasn't what I knew..., but I could understand!
When Qil heard me speak, he turned back slowly. As he saw me, he shrieked loudly. The little gossip was over; they all tried to run. I quickly caught Qil and let the others go.
I observed Qil, he's was like a skunk, but different.
"Let the others come out here".
Just then, the others arrived.
"Ace, what are you doing with that?".
"Just paying them a visit".
I spoke in English right now!
Thank goodness, I was still normal.
"Are you going to eat him?". It was Drekov.
"No, no...,ewww".
Then, I turned to Qil, and repeated my statement.
"What are you saying, Ace?". It was Jane.
Just then, Qil began to squeal loudly.
"Why is he doing that?".
"He's calling the others here".
"He's doing what?".
Just then, a little crowd of beasts crowded us.
Soon, I began to speak to them, and quite surprisingly, I could understand them.
"What are you saying?".
"I'm just talking to them".
"Can you understand them?".
"Yeah, quite surprisingly well".
"How? Why? Are you....?"
Just then, Xiao broke the ice.
"Yes, he's slithering".
A FEW MOMENTS LATER
"I don't quite understand. How did this happen?". It was Drekov.
"Dunno. I just got here and could speak..., slither".
It suddenly occured to Jane.
"It's your unique gift; slithering".
"Unique what?".
"Yes, you're right! My unique gift granted by the ophital".
"She's pretty! Is she your girlfriend?". It was Qil.
"No, she's not".
"What happened? What did it say?".
"I'm a 'he', not an 'it'. Tell her the difference. Infact, I'm gonna show her now".
He advanced forward as if to hit Aurella.
I quickly shoved Qil to it's corner. It struggled to break free. I then barked at it.
"Stop it" I said.
It stopped struggling and moved back.
I looked up to see eyes staring at me. I smiled awkwardly.
"Well, if anything, I think your gift is cool". It was Drekov.
Right now, it didn't seem so.
"Yeah, I guess".
NEXT DAY AT THE ACADEMY
ACE POV:
We just arrived at the Academy. We went to our lockers to straighten a thing or two.
Just then, a boy arrived at the Academy. He shoved a student in his way.
"Get off my way, you slime".
He turned to go away but the student got up.
"You bum"
He turned his back. He smiled haughtily at the student. He started walking close to the student.
"You said what?".
"You bum".
He got closer to the student. He stared down at the student. He was obviously taller. He pushed him down.
We all just stared at them.
Deep down, if there was anything I hate, it was bullies.
I rushed to help the student.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine".
I got up and looked at the boy walking away.
"Hey, do you mind?" I yelled.
He turned back and started walking towards me. He got to me and stood closely. Luckily, I wasn't so less in height.
"Apologize" I said.
"Ace, let's go". Jane tried to pull me away. I shoved her hand away.
"You said what?".
"I said 'Apologize' ".
He smiled at me and shook his head. He tried hitting me out of the blues.
Suddenly, I started to see and hear everything in slow-mo. I looked around and saw the expressions on Jane's face change slowly.
I looked at the bully. His was nasty; like a bulldog's. It irked me.
His hand was advancing closer to me. Just then, I ducked.
Everything started to play out normal again.
He lurched forward and was unsteady in his steps. He soon regained himself.
He rushed at me angrily. Seems like I hurt his ego.
He threw another jab at me. It happened just like the first time. This time, I caught his hand.
Suddenly, he began to yelp in pain. I was shocked. I then traced the source of his pain.
His hand was red like a tomato; all his veins were straining like it would snap.
In shock, I threw his hand away. What happened shocked me more!
I sent him flying across the hallway. The students parted ways to create a pathway for his fall. Some people rushed to help him.
Meanwhile, I stared at my hands in surprise.
'What did I just do?' I asked myself.
'What just happened?'
They raised the boy up. He wanted to rush at me again but they pulled him back.
"Enough, let's go".
He shoved their hands away and stood. He stared smoulderingly at me.
"I'll see you around soon, dumbo"
They started to walk away.
Soon, a standing ovation started from the crowd.
"That was awesome. Thank you". He hugged me.
"Yeah, you're welcome".
I parted from the hug and started to walk away from the crowd.
