ACE POV:
We entered into the class. We were waiting for Lucas.
I felt a hard stare drilling into me. I looked around and found nobody else but the bully.
"We're in the same...,".
His face sang danger like a nightingale. I felt uneasy in my seat.
'He can do me nothing. I just beat him now' I tried to convince myself.
Master Lucas arrived the class. Cool, at least something will take away his attention.
"Good morning children. Sorry I'm late".
"Well to the business of the day".
He snapped his fingers. A book came flying into the room.
"Well, our lessons for today is casting spells".
"You see, spells are words that help to direct your magic on the intended purpose. It also helps to fulfil certain conditions pertaining such action. You may be able to do relatively easy tricks without a spell but certain, you may not".
He snapped his fingers and the book started spinning.
"That is an example of tricks without a spell".
He snapped his fingers again and the book came down.
He looked at us.
"Make space, children".
We all have him as much as we could.
He walked to the middle. He brought out his wand.
"Sirae Divaris".
A portal opened. He entered into it. We all gathered round and looked into the portal, looking for him.
To our surprise, the portal led to nowhere else but the door.
We turned and saw him at the door.
"Come on, it's safe".
We all hesitated. Then, Drekov came out and entered. Soon, he appeared at the door.
"Come on guys".
Soon, we all began to enter one after the other. We all appeared at the door.
A FEW MOMENTS LATER
"You'll have to think of the place you want to appear. Then cast the spell".
Drekov came out first. He meditated for a while and cast the spell.
"Sirae Divaris".
The portal opened halfway and closed instantly. Chuckles escaped a few lips.
"Try again. And this time, focus more".
Drekov looked more calm than ever. He closed his eyes. He opened them slowly and cast the spell.
"Sirae Divaris".
A portal opened and it didn't close this time. It led to the back of the class. We all applauded him.
"Now, close it".
"But how?".
"With your will".
"With my what?"
"Concentrate your mind on closing it".
Drekov closed eyes again. The portal reduced in size, and increased again. He opened an eye but found the portal still open. He took a deep breath and tried again. The portal shrinked in size unsteadily until it finally closed.
We all applauded him.
"Good try, Drekov".
"Now the rest of you".
We all tried the spell. Some failed, but eventually most of us got it.
"Ace, it's your turn".
Nervous, I stepped forward. I felt sweaty in my palms.
"You can do this, Ace" Drekov encouraged.
"He's gonna fail" he smirked.
It was the bully whose name I found out was Zen.
'I'll show you Zen' I said in my mind.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Sirae Divaris".
Suddenly a huge portal opened. Everywhere was dark in it. I couldn't understand what I just did.
I peered closely into the portal.
*ROAR*
Wind blew into my face, ruffling my hair.
It was obviously from the mouth of...
'Wait, what did I just do?' I thought to myself.
*ROAR*
We all stepped backwards from the portal.
*ROAR*
Suddenly we heard loud thuds coming from the portal. It shook the class.
Soon, feet emerged from the portal.
*ROAR*
Hands emerged from the portal.
"Close it Ace"
I tried to focus.
'Close, close, close' I tried harder to focus.
"Close it now" yelled Lucas.
"I'm trying".
Soon, the body emerged from the portal.
*ROAR*
"It's too late. Children get behind me".
I looked up to see what must have been on the other side.
Soon, a face emerged from the portal.
My mouth fell wide at what I saw.
"What have you done?". It was Lucas.
Soon, Lucas looked closely at it. Shock registered on his face.
*ROAR*
"Ca..., Ca..., Cauldez?".
