Writer's POV
" Damn it! I really don't know the caliber of people my parents invite to parties these days." Tristan grumbled under his breath as he made his way to the toilet.
" Bitches." He muttered angrily under his breath as he noticed the way ladies of all ages ogled at him as he walked past them.He ignored the whispers people made to him as he walked into the toilet.
He didn't even bother to check the surrounding of the rest room he had walked into. He angrily pushed open one of the doors of the many compartments of the big toilet.
" Arrgh!" A familiar female voice screamed.
" Why the fuck do you keep following me?" Tristan angrily growled at Charming.
" What the hell do you mean by that? You followed me into the female Lulu." Charming said to Tristan.
" Lu what?" Tristan was confused by Charming's choice of words.
This single action of Tristan made Charming frown; " The toilet, Lulu means the toilet."
" Oh fuck!" Tristan cussed at the sudden realisation of his mistake.
" Hey are you not even going to apologise?" Charming yelled at Tristan when he attempted to walk away.
Tristan was about to reply her when the lights suddenly went out, causing Charming to give a deafening scream.
" What the fuck?" Charming had jumped on Tristan out of fear of the dark.
All her life, she had never been left in the dark. Even while Charming slept, the lights were left on. This had always been her life ever since she was a little girl.
" Stop screaming alright." Tristan said to Charming, careful of where he touched the girl on him.
When the lights finally came back on, they were not the only people in the room.
Charming
Why do the lights have to go off now? Oh God! What if they never come back on? How would I get out of here?
" Awwn, such cute couple." I heard people cheering and clapping.
What the fuck is going on?
" Get off of me." I heard a deep masculine voice say to me and it sounded like it came from above me.
" Oh God." I have... I have been resting on this unapologetic male all this while?
I unwrapped my hands from his body unwillingly as the remaining people in the toilet cheered on. Why were they even in the toilet? Shouldn't they have maintained their positions when the lights went out? How could they have walked in the dark?
The guy I had held simply walked out of the toilet once I had left him. Why the fuck was he even frowning?
" Oh my God! You're really lucky to have Tristan." One girl yelled from the crowd.
" Yeah, you should really count yourself lucky. Trust me princess; a lot of girls would kill to be with him, a lot." Another girl said from the crowd as she walked menacingly toward me.
Wait, was she threatening me?
I just stood unmoved by her words and walking style until Tomika came in.
" Where have you been? "She asked as she made her way through the crowd toward me.
" With her lover!" Someone else yelled from the crowd.
Okay, that's it! I'm done!
" Charm, hold on!" I heard Tomika yell from behind me.
I should have never agreed to my parents's decision. I really thought this was going to be an opportunity to celebrate the year and every good thing it brought. I expected to meet new people; fun people. Not arrogant brats like that Tristan or whatever the girls called him.
" Arrgh!" Why do I even remember his name?
Writer's POV
Charming marched angrily toward the hall. She had made up her mind to leave the gathering; with or without her parents.
She walked through the crowd, holding up her tight gown with one hand, and her purse in another; ignoring the stares of the men.
Just then, she got caught in the spotlight; " Charming dear."
Her parents called out to her from the podium of the hall.
Since she was in the limelight, she didn't want to be involved in any form of embarrassment so, she simply walked over to her parents.
" What the fuck is going on?" She whispered into her father's ears.
" Language, young lady." Her mother whispered into hers.
" I'm sorry but what's going on? You said this was Thanksgiving, not an award show." Charming whispered to the hearing of her parents.
" This is not the right time for this ladies." Mr Hutz whispered to the hearing of his wife and daughter.
" Oh my God Mr Hutz. You're daughter is so pretty." One of the two people who seemed like a couple complemented her.
" Thanks?" Charming was utterly confused with what was going on.
" Hi Charming, I'm so pleased to meet you." A woman said to Charming.
" Yes, she really is because trust me; she doesn't say that often. But she is though; we are." The woman's husband said. At least they were both putting on the same kind of ring.
" Weirdos." Tomika said to herself in the crowd.
" Tristan darling! Common over." The woman said happily, inviting someone to the podium.
" Is this an award show or what?" Tomika was thinking just like Charming.
" Rich people will always be weird." Someone said from behind Tomika.
" So ladies and gentlemen. It's with great honour that I introduce my son to you; Tristan Ashton." The woman said, equally clapping with the crowd.
" You! " Charming pointed at Tristan, recognising him.
Tristan on the other hand, simply ignored her as he waved weirdly to the crowd. He also found his parents's gesture strange.
" Dad, I think mom's drunk." Tristan whispered to his father.
" She's not son." His father whispered back to him, smiling weirdly.
" What the fuck is going on?" Tristan thought. His frown was so tight, even the crowd noticed it but they chose to ignore. Well, he was the world's handsome Tristan; even his frown was attractive.
" And this, this is Charming Hutz. My son's soon to be bride." Mrs Ashton said to the crowd, smiling happily.
" What?!" Tristan and Charming yelled to the microphone.
" Isn't that amazing?" Mrs Ashton asked both children and the crowd. Her action caused an uproaring applause from the crowd.
