Every student had a name tag above their heads with their names and level, but the names only gave their first name and not the last.
I looked up at my own name tag out of curiosity.
[Maruma]
[Level 1]
Many of the students were talking to each other as if they knew each other beforehand, but I was silent as I couldn't find my siblings anywhere in the crowd.
We grew up mostly confined to our mansion, so we didn't get any opportunities to mingle with other kids like the rest of the people our age did.
I opened up my friends list and messaged the twins to find out where they were.
Their messages came back almost instantly.
[Penny]
[We just made it to the auditorium.]
[Seban]
[Where are you bro?]
[Maruma]
[I'm standing in the direct line of the podium, just walk to that line and try to find me.]
[Penny]
[Alright.]
It only took a minute or two for the twins to find me.
"Hey Mar." Penny said as she gave me a hug.
"Hey sis." I responded.
Seban and I just gave each other a fist bump.
It would be easy for anyone in the school to see that the twins were identical twins.
They looked just like our mother with their black hair, green eyes, and light brown skin. Seban's hair went down to his ears, while Penny's went all the way down to the middle of her back.
In contrast, I didn't look much like them other than the facial shape we all shared as siblings. My hair was white and went down to my shoulders, my eyes were the pale blue of my fathers, and my skin was tanned but not yet brown. I also stood at 5'10 (1.78 m) which was relatively tall for my age at 15, but the twins were both 5'7 (1.7 m), which may have been very tall for their age of 12, but would seem average to the other 15 year olds in the auditorium.
We didn't exchange any other words as we waited for something to happen. We already spoke to each other at breakfast, so there wasn't much else to say.
It didn't take long for someone to finally come out and step onto the stage.
It was a tall man who looked to be at least 6'5 (1.96 m). He wore a suit like the students, but his was blue instead of red. He had straight blonde hair that didn't stop until it reached his shoulders and a thick blonde beard.
I couldn't make out any of his other facial features because of the distance between me and the podium, but even from this distance I could feel his overwhelming presence.
From the second he stood in front of that podium, the whole auditorium got silent. To be able to make a group of a few hundred 15 year olds become so quiet in such a short amount of time would usually grant someone the title of miracle worker. A pen could be dropped on the other side of the very large room, and I was still confident that I would be able to hear it loud and clear.
Once the silence festered for a few seconds, the man cleared his voice. The almost overwhelming pressure then seemed to be released.
I hadn't even realized I was holding my breath.
I looked over to the twins to make sure they were okay and saw that while both of them were still standing, they had shocked expressions on their faces and sweat pouring down.
'Sigh. This is going to be rough for them.' I thought.
I definitely had a lot of pressure on myself to succeed and fast, but they had much more on them than I did because of their age. To do something as crazy as what we were attempting at such a young age would be blasphemous.
"Attention students!" The man's loud voice interrupted my train of thought.
"Welcome to the Royal Academy, I am happy to see so many new faces this year.
My name is John Seena and I am the headmaster here at the Royal Academy. You will address me as Headmaster Seena at all times. Am I clear?"
"Yes, sir!" Almost everyone said in unison, me included.
I was obviously taught manners by my family as appearance is everything to the family of a king and queen, and the other children in this room were no different.
Headmaster Seena looked around at the students before continuing.
"Good.
Now, we only have a few rules here at the academy.
First off, do not steal, lie, or cheat. If you do so, you will either be expelled or sent to a lower academy.
Next, do not ever disrespect your teachers or you will face the consequences.
Third of all, we do NOT flaunt our status here at the royal academy. We are all equal here, and if you are caught trying to use your status for something you will immediately be expelled with a 6 month ban on entering VR."
Everyone in the room let out a collective gasp.
Seban, Penny, and I already knew of this rule, as my father is the one who implemented it into the academy so we weren't surprised.
"This is also why your last names are not displayed. You may not reveal who you are to anyone who does not already know.
Lastly, we go by the rule of the strong here at the Royal Academy. I will not say anything else on that topic other than that.
Now, it is time for you to join your home room. You will be split up into home rooms by Rhea based on the classes you chose when you entered VR.
I hope you all have a wonderful stay at the Royal Academy and I hope you learn a lot. Remember to try hard if you want to be someone special."
As he reached the end of his speech, Headmaster Seena brought his hand up and snapped his fingers.
A bright light once again flooded my vision as I was teleported away.
