Chapter 3 - Conan: The baby collector

These bizarre creatures were five in number. they were all monstrous-looking creatures— with antennae ending in a globe extending from the front of their chitinous scalp. Their mouth was full of ridiculously long and sharp fangs, so many that their considerably wide mouths couldn't contain them all.

Having noticed the presence of a higher being, they swam their way to his location, started to revolve around him, and took him directly to the center of the sea and placed him on the sedimentary sea bed, full of carcass and sentient weeds.

There, they revolved around him for years... Contrary to their monstrous appearances, these beings were quite loyal as they served their newfound Lord, even till death...

Two thousand years later...

It was peaceful here, at the Extreme North of the Plane. The trees that made up the forest danced with the wind leaves rustled and went in attunement with the whistles of the air and so, old leaves fall from the trees, and make place for new ones to grow.

Occasional roars and cries were heard coming from the forests and mountains. Aerial creatures chirped leisurely in their nests—resting on the humongous trees—, as the more powerful ones made the clouds their nests and occasionally made dominant cries, that silenced the rest of the cries.

A sea remains Frozen on its surface for two thousand years, the aquatic rejoiced at being freed of the external predators but the same can't be said of internal ones.

the surface of the thick ice sheet that covered the entire scope of the sea had become translucent and the inhabitants could be seen moving about their daily life, searching for the unfortunate to be preyed on and also being cautious not to be preyed on.

It was peaceful on the surface but on the inside? kill or be killed were the rules the inhabitants followed...

At the center of the sea, a great disturbance was taking place in the depths. Cracks formed on the frozen surface causing water to spurt out in fountains.

The crackling and spurtles disturbed the serenity that shrouded the surface for years and brought disarray to the order of living beings that resided nearby.

Protuberances arose on the icy surface of the sea and slowly it got to a point where it all crumbled and revealed a mountain veiled in running water.

The water fell off the mountainous being that emerged like a mantle and revealed the appearance of a cosmic serpent.

Thunderclouds gathered above the serpent as it spread its wings and roared with surging emotions. Lightning storms bathed the cosmical entity as he closed his eyes and dominantly roared.

His scales were flaming white with an occasional golden glow. Lightning caressed this graceful being as he took to the sky and left storms raging in his wake.

Rain fell, lightning struck, and darkness engulfed the land, causing the inhabitants to quiver in awe at the sight of the majestic entity that awakened in their Homeland.

The serpent, on the other hand, gathered all the clouds in one place and rested on it. He then opened his eyes which burned with cosmic brilliance and sighed— releasing a cloud of mist from his mouth as he did so.

He looked at the land in which he awakened and marveled because he had never been here before. He peered to look at the other side of the vast expanse of mountains and realized that that was where he had come from.

He was now at the other side of the plane, the secluded parts...

"Looks like Laws of Restriction don't work on this side, strange."

He sighed and growled softly before he took off and dispersed the clouds, he flew with his wings wide for a while before coiling in the air, starting to constrict in size.

He landed on the seashore with a thud, causing the white sands to blow off frantically. The mere shockwave pushed back the sea waves.

The serpent turned into a man, his obsidian eye slits were encased with wisps of cosmic energy, and in addition, an ominous red glary slit sat vertically on his forehead– The Oracle Eye.

The man was Conan and now stood fifteen feet tall and Stark naked. He stood akimbo and sighed, he was enjoying that sleep and out of nowhere, he was jolted awake.

"Once again, I'm alone!"He dis-spiritedly complained to no one in particular. He looked around with his serpentine eyes, seeing nothing but monsters with little to no intelligence, forests and the sea– and the heat and spiritual energy they emitted.

He had grown numb to his emotions, as they had accompanied him for many years– Albeit not completely, he could isolate them.

"And what's with this overgrown beard?"He ran his hand on his now overgrown and unkempt beard and he complained. He frowned even more when he started picking bones out of the beard that grew without his permission.

He faced the sea and froze the shore with a wave of his hand. Then with another wave, the water rose and froze, forming a mirror through which he scrutinized himself.

His hair was still shiny but slick and practically touching the ground, his body coated in overlapping golden scales making his lean physique more sculpturesque. His hands were long with sharp glistening claws at the tips of his fingers.

But the most annoying thing, was the bushy beard with the bones and dirt that stuck in it, reaching his chest, wide and unkempt. "What creature died on me?" He scowled in disgust.

His expression soured as he suddenly had the primal instinct to roar and vent out. He hated beards and people that have them, and now one had grown without his permission.

He roared to the sky fiercely, his face turned monstrous and his mouth widened unnaturally, showcasing two thin and long, extremely sharp fangs and the abyssal interior of his mouth for the sky to see.

A visible energy wave erupted from him and crumbled the ice he created, pushed back the waves, and even caved in the spot he was standing on.

Immediately after, he turned his eyes back to the normal reflective obsidian and closed his Oracular Eye which glinted like the eyes of a newborn, considering the many years he used to sleep.

Then he began to use his claws to shave his beard with incredible vigor.

"I'm not a master of a bloody sect!"He spat hatefully and trampled on the heap of hair that lay on the sandy floor after he was done.

So far, he had been acting nonchalantly but that was because he didn't even know what to do. The celestial told him to make more celestials and then sent him to the other side of Eardale, an isolated place filled vast expanse of land and resources, great vegetation, and ferocious monsters.

Or did the Prime Celestial wants him to create celestials out of monsters? 'It better not be' was what he thought, with defiance evident in his expression.

His senses then picked up movements coming towards him from the sea. He looked towards it and noticed five sharp metalloid dorsal fins parting the water and coming towards him with unbound speed.

Soon enough, five entities burst out of the waters simultaneously as soon as they reached close enough, landed in front of him then kneeled.

"Oh? So I'm not alone?" Conan bemused as he watched the details of these five strange entities; Three males and two females

These entities have pale skin which was covered with translucent overlapping circular scales. Their hairs are spiky and finny, Their eyes are dull blue with little white eyeballs, their noses are tiny and cave, big mouths, hiding terrifying sets of fang teeth and thin lips.

On their arm sides and legs were strong and sharp translucent fins and a dorsal fin on their back and gills at the side of their rib cage. But what was more eye-catching was the antenna ending in a glowing blue globe, that pulsed with Spiritual Energy and a little Cosmic on their foreheads.

They were all over 7 ft tall and they all even radiated little cosmic energies which were supposed to be impossible.

These fish-looking people all averted their gaze off his naked body as they remained on their knees, waiting to be acknowledged, especially the females.

He quickly snapped his fingers and a black robe materialized on his body "You guys should wear something too, even with your scales, I can see your... you know?" he said in a futile attempt to lighten up the mood.

The aquatic beings all looked at him blankly and it didn't look like they were ashamed, nor did it look like they were capable of showing emotions and there was a strange glint in their eyes, giving them the appearance of newborns.

They didn't even look like they understood what he was saying.

"Okay, who are you guys?"He asked with a weary sigh, he had run out of patience.

The aquatic creatures looked at each other and nodded to one another, their globes glowing blue and generating sparkles as they did so.

Then one of the females turned to him and pointed at her globe, which was generating even more blue sparkles.

Conan looked at it and started to feel a signal coming from her. He focused more on the signal and felt comprehension from the aquatic woman enter his mind as she used her hands to gesture.

These monstrous beings were once little aquatic monsters five feet long, with thin bodies, and they had little to no intelligence. They were known as globe monsters because of the globes on their antenna, which they can use to connect to all their kinds and weaker aquatic monsters of other kinds.

But they were being hunted by the Trolls of Ttirbana, to be used as food and their globes as sources of light. impressive for monsters with little to no intelligence, they were always on the run.

They accidentally reached this place and were labeled as 'unwanted'. And as they got here, they were faced with bigger and more dangerous monsters, ones they had never seen, thus they resumed their race for survival. It was then that their numbers had dwindled to the five they were now.

On a fateful day, they sensed the arrival of the 'lord'— Conan— and decided to serve him till death, to live for a greater cause. But as they died, their souls and spirit didn't leave their bodies, thus they were evolved and resuscitated at the same time their Lord woke up, by the residuals of the energy he emitted.

Conan sighed and rubbed his forehead "Cosmic Mutation. They evolved to become humanoid monsters and now they look like the Seamaidens of the Sea of Gore, but these have males... And they smell delicious."

When Conan woke up, he started to feel hungry, an insatiable hunger that serpents and dragons were known for. Serpents are beings with abyssal stomachs and insatiable hunger and at his level of power, he could devour planets, even the whole plane, but he won't, not yet.

But since these globe monsters also just woke up, he asked them "You guys must be hungry right? How about you go get something to eat and something big for me? You can take however long you want to and when you come back I'll teach you some things."

He decided to teach these creatures some things, after all, they were forced to mutate from his cosmic energy and he had to be responsible for them.

And if they trained harder, they'll become pseudo-celestials in a few thousand years.

"I found company."
