In the Air Vessel...
Zoe went directly to sleep on a chair, Liam and Loki played board game, while kitty followed Conan to the control center of the Air Carrier, which was situated on the opposite end of the sitting room.
The insides of the Air Carrier was well furnished, with the majority being white, there were purple lines that snaked all over, mixing into a slight gloom.
The control center has a large astral projection monitor, that shows them of what lies ahead, and another one of what's behind.
A control counter— filled with few buttons and a joystick with a orb mounted on it—was situated below the monitors. in front of it were two pilot seats, in which Conan and kitty sat.
"An Air carrier is a common thing in the higher planes of the Hegemons, Earthdom. Also, the use of mechanisms made by spirit code inscriptions. But this particular design of mine, there's nothing like it. Kitty, you're going to enjoy the astonished faces the mortals will make when they see this..."Conan's reflective eyes matched the purple dim of the Air Carrier as he smugly boasted to the sulky kitty.
"That's why I named it, the Celestials Family Circle..."He added and chuckled.
"Really? But you said there are strong mortals who are cultivators. Don't you think, they'd have also invented something like this?"Kitty pointed out. Her cute face, however didn't show that she wasn't impressed in the least "...And can I take this off? I'm suffocating!"She squealed and pulled the collars of the coat she was wearing.
She could tear it off if she wanted, but it was Zoe who made it for her. If she should tear it, then she would face the wrath of Zoe.
And she definitely didn't want that.
"No, you can't, we need to hide your physique and bloodline, for now that is. Things might have changed as you said, and we're going to a human colony. The dual-cultivators won't let you rest."Conan said and placed his hands on the joystick— on the orb on it precisely—and triggered the flight of the carrier.
Kitty grumbled and pouted cutely in response, thinking 'Just because I'm a fox doesn't mean you should be this mean to me. It's not that I can't annihilate those dual-cultivators myself.'
"Guys, buckle up, we're about to plunge a hole in space, hopefully, we don't get devoured by the void."Conan looked back at the rest and found Zoe fast asleep; Liam and Loki were so focused on the board game, that they were now glaring at each other's eyes, trying to peer into the other's thoughts.
All paying him no heed, none even heard him to begin with.
'He can't beat Loki.' Conan thought and continued with what he was doing. 'He can guess people's thoughts.'
...
Outside...
As Conan triggered the flight of the Air carrier, Four points extended from the circumference. It started spinning—attached to the main circle—and formed a rotating outer circle.
It spun and blew dirts away as gradually levitated higher, the pedestal it was mounted on turned into goo-like material and merged with the flat under of the circle.
As Conan poured spiritual energy into the orb of the joystick, the rotation increased gradually till it broke the sound barrier and no sound was heard from it anymore.
It got to the extent that the speed at which it rotated was faster than time itself and started to crack space, this time, purple lines on the circumference of the main circle had started to have a golden glow accompanying them— Cosmic Protection Arrays —to offer protection as soon as they are in the void, or not, the carrier will break apart and they'll be swallowed by the abyss.
Conan warned them as he proceeded to push the joystick "Brace yourself, guys. we are about to jump... Now!" He pushed the joystick forward and Kitty hit the 'Jump' button. The Air Carrier sped forward at cosmic speed and travelled through space through a hole it's speed plunged in it. the space mending itself as fast as the vessel passed through.
Conan programmed the Air Vessel to do the same thing the Prime Celestial did to him, Five thousand years ago— at it's full speed.
In the Vessel, something akin to chaos erupted; When Conan pushed the joystick, a shift of gravity occured and everyone got slammed onto the wall, except for the two pilots of course.
The board got planted onto Liam's face, while Loki's cheeks squashed against the wall, it was as if they were lying on the floor, yet they couldn't stand up.
Zoe on the other hand couldn't care less, she slept. Even though it was on the wall, it was still a flat surface to her.
...
In the North-Western part of the main Eardale, close to the human kingdom...
...A blink passed and a spatial rift appeared spitting out an Air Vessel before closing up. In the sky, their carrier adjusted it's speed and started moving among the clouds.
In the carrier, gravity got back to normal and Liam plopped down the wall, while Loki fell on him " Get off me!" He gruntled and pushed Loki away "This mortal form is so weak, it's humiliating."
Zoe stood up and grumpily grunted. She had woke up from the disturbance and her eyes looked really stressed and sullen, her cheerless expression not sagging a bit.
"Yes! It worked!"Conan rejoiced, ravelling in the spirit of accomplishment. He could open space with his power alone, but with a Vessel is unlikely to succeed. But he just did, and he succeeded—on his first try that is.
"Now we have saved several days of boring travel, within the next few hours, we'll be there."
Kitty face was red in nervousness and anticipation, she had never met other humans apart from the ones she played and trained with at the Citadel and now, she didn't know what to expect.
Conan wryly smiled at this, 'She'll get used to it.' he thought and thus, they continued their journey, with clouds masking their Vessel.
Few hours later, they arrived at the human colony or at least, that's what he expected but what he saw far superceded his expectations.
What he was looking at in the monitor was a kingdom, a formidable kingdom. With towering walls that challenged the sky. It's length expanding to unknown degrees.
At the middle section of the height of the wall was a wide space, where soldiers were situated on guard and at the bottom was a ginomous gate.
Kitty frowned at seeing this "Uh... Ol' papa, what are we looking at?"
What she was seeing, wasn't what she was told. It was completely out of her expectations and her adventurous spirit ignited on seeing the wall and the soldiers situated on it.
Conan's frown was deeper, humans never had a kingdom, they had their colonies which were governed by the cultivation sects and the cultivators were the rulers, but then again, that was about five thousand years ago.
But now, it seems things had changed than he expected, the Prime Celestial wasn't joking when he said it will and his actions was just a catalyst.
The wall was black and terrifyingly smooth—even to the eyes—with various markings and drawings beautifying it's towering majesty.
"Tell the others to get ready, things are about to get interesting than I thought."Conan saw the soldiers in the wall aiming strange weapons at them, making him smiled sinisterly.
He had a brief meeting with the rest and gave them instructions on what to do, then they prepared to enter the kingdom.
...
North-Western gate of the human kingdom...
The soldiers situated in the walls were doing their job, which was to guard. And today was like every other day, or it was supposed to be until a soldier with a bow and quiver full of arrows spotted a peculiar cloud moving faster than the others.
The peculiar cloud was dark and flashed of lightning occasionally.
"Oh Athan, mother of life!"He cussed out. "Captain! we have an strange situation here!"The soldier in bronze and black edged armour and helmet like all other soldiers, panicked and hollered to his Captain who was busy drinking tea in the inner parts of the wall.
The walls of the kingdom had a space in the middle which served as a watch tower. The space was over 200 meters wide. Also there were some residential areas in the walls for the soldiers to sleep in, serving as a fort.
The captain came out, his stern face half hidden by the helmet he wore, his silver breastplate and golden edged armor had the crest of the human kingdom army and shimmered in the light of the day as the soldier who called him out looked up to him.
His eyes dimmed as he saw the cloud and looked at the junior soldier that called him out "could be aerial monsters of prey..." He said before shouting on the junior soldier "why didn't you call me earlier!"
The soldier tried to explain even though he wasn't the one at fault here but the captain had given out orders already "Bring out the Beam Canons!"
The soldier panicked "Captain, those are the beam Canons left to us by the gods, what if it gets spoilt? There haven't been one that could replicate it—"He was saying but got interrupted by a shout from the captain.
"Shut up, you!"The captain shunned the soldier and watched as the other soldiers brought out the Beam Canons which were being wheeled out from the inner parts and loaded with spirit stones.
"We can't afford to fail at protecting the kingdom against invasion! What if it's something bigger than we could handle?"
The Beam Canons had long barrels. On the sides of it's shiny body were segmented blue glows. At it's base, a chamber full of Spirit crystals was inserted, making it whirr, full of energy and ready to be fired.
And on the side of the bottom of the beam rifle was a button with 'fire' inscribed on it.
After the Canons were loaded, he hollered out an order "Aim!"
WHIRR
Whirring sounds sounded as the soldiers readied their beam Canons to be fired at their captain's order.
They all watched as the speeding cloud slowed down, the captain unsheathed his longsword as adrenaline coursed through his veins, ready to defend their kingdom against anything, with his own life.
The peculiar cloud dispersed with a boom and revealed a spectacular looking disk-shaped Air Vessel, enthralling the soldiers momentarily by her peculiarity.
"Oh, sexy Athan..."The soldier cussed out profanely, like all other soldiers, including the Captain. They were all stunned beyond words.
The disk-shaped Air Vessel slowed it's rotation as it descended slowly under the soldier's mesmerized gazes. A goo-like substance came from beneath and solidified, pedestalling the Air Vessel.
The rotating four points, retracted and joined back with the main body. Then a split appeared on the body and slowly widened, forming an entrance. Cold mist seeped out and the gloomy insides was revealed to the soldiers that were guarding the wall.
The soldiers didn't know what to do so the junior soldier asked his Captain "This... Captain, are we under attack? That Air Ship looks extravagant though."
"That's not an Air ship."The captain seem to be pondering on what to do so he took out a rectangular device and activated it.
The device lit in blue and a voice came from it: "Yes captain? What do you say we do about this?"The voice of the vice-captain in command of the foot defense of the wall asked.
"Take five of your men and confront whoever is coming out of that thing! If they have haughty intents or are monsters, take them down! I insist! take them down! We can't risk the safety of our kingdom."The captain ordered, his solemn eyes narrowed as he breathed in sharply.
...Who knew today won't be like every other day?
