Around 8:45 a.m., Jessie received the address for Din's company. In truth, it was the beep from her phone that jolted her awake.
She'd resumed her conversation with Taylor, and they'd eventually gotten around to arranging the room the night before, when Din abruptly ended the call before she could say anything else.
Taylor had advised her to visit him and, at the very least, hear his side of the story before finalising the divorce.
Jessie, on the other hand, was terrified of what would happen if she went to see him. She despised the man she was now married to, and she was well aware that if they ever met again, they would fight.
She reprimanded Taylor for everything that had occurred. Din Cooper would not have married her if she hadn't gone to Vegas.
She sighed and pushed her hair out of her face.
When she got out of bed, her feet hit the cool ground. Before going into the bathroom to clean up, she yawned and stretched.
She and Taylor had gone to bed around 1:30 a.m. the night before. Marco Anderson was condemned for what he had done to her. Taylor had never liked him, but Jessie had hoped that one day her friend would understand how she felt. However, now that she has seen what Marco has done, she believes he does not deserve to be accepted by Taylor. Taylor's dislike for him was well-deserved.
Jessie stepped into the shower after turning on the hot water. She reached for her perfumed hair wash and applied a small amount to her hair before rinsing it off in the hot shower. She then chose her banana-flavored body wash, poured some on her body, and gently washed her body before washing it off in the shower.
Marco Anderson would be the first person she would kill if she had the ability to do so, before moving on to Din Cooper. Everyone irritated her. She despised all men, in particular.
Taylor was absolutely correct when she told Jessie she was too sweet for the world, and love was a silly game. She wouldn't be wounded if she were a little more like Taylor. She didn't approve of how her friend lived her life, but at least Taylor's heart was spared, unlike hers, which had been crushed numerous times until she eventually decided to love again.
She felt bad about it. She wished she hadn't fallen in love again. She could have done something better with the eight years she'd spent with Marco.
She regretted it even more when she passed up the chance to visit Paris.
Jessie had previously received an offer to travel to Paris and live her life while simultaneously becoming the most famous musician, but she had considered Marco and declined the offer. She had been saddened by the fact that her life was in Los Angeles, and she had also pondered Marco's thoughts. This would not have happened to her if she had gone to Paris.
She could have been well-known and established herself in that industry by now, but Marco Anderson was continuously getting in the way. He was pathetic; he had gazed at her in such a way that she was unable to gather up her belongings and leave because she felt he owned her life. He had turned her into the unhappy woman she was.
Who was this Jessie, anyway? She changed into a new woman in order to keep a man she thought she could retain.
As she walked out of the bathroom, she sighed. She walked over to her closet to get her clothes with her wet body.
She scowled as she reached into her closet for her pink turtleneck long sleeve sweater.
Her baggy blue jeans from the night before were still on the arm of the chair.
Jessie had taken one of her favourite black crisscross bags off the hook and stuffed her phone and makeup into it.
She dried herself off before putting on her casual clothes.
She chose her pink boots from the shoe rack and paired them with a pink sweater before adjusting her hair in the mirror.
This time she let her hair down. She wasn't trying for a ponytail or her usual distinctive look. She wore a plain shiny gloss instead of the red lipstick that gave her confidence.
Taylor not waking her up that morning meant she had already left for work, and Jessie had guessed correctly because when she walked out of her room, she saw a paper sitting beneath a cup, and it was a letter from Taylor stating that she had already left for work.
Before stepping out the door and closing it behind her with the keys in her hand, Jessie turned off the house light.
She called an Uber and was taken directly to Din's office.
When she got out of the car, she first looked at the building. She wasn't sure if she was in the proper area at first. Cin's mobile was written brightly in front of the building. A portion of the structure was made of glass, and it was also rather large. Jessie could see workers in white lab coats lugging auto components around as she turned her head to the left.
Din Cooper's business was something she had never imagined.
She slid the door open and walked in. As she approached the lady behind the transparent glass, she drew her shades down. "Hello. I am..." Jessie couldn't finish her sentences because she was interrupted.
"Mrs. Cooper? Is it you?" The lady inquired. She appeared to be in her late twenties. She was dressed in a blue top with a round neck.
Jessie paused for a moment before nodding.
"Aria Dollars is my name. I'll take you to Mr. Cooper's office." She got up from where she was seated and walked out to meet Jessie. Her outfit included a long black skirt and white sneakers.
"I appreciate it." With a smile on her face, Jessie walked behind Aria.
