The fight got a lot more intense than Hiro and Augustus thought it would. Phoenix and Xavier, or Lucifer and Aiden weren't equal at first. Xavier or Aiden had the upper hand at first because of the experience he had gained from all his past lives.
Lucifer was on the defensive side during the beginning of the battle. Aiden wanted to mock Lucifer but refrained from doing so because of how calm he was while blocking his attacks. He knew what Lucifer was doing, observing his every move and studying his stances.
He stopped fighting, and his breathing was not heavy, despite fighting for ten minutes. "Stop doing that," he said.
"Doing what?" Lucifer asked, dropping his defensive stance.
"Doing that, feels like a one-sided beating, it doesn't seem fair, take this seriously."
Lucifer understood and nodded. "Okay," he said. "I'll take this seriously."
Aiden nodded and they continued to fight.
This time around, Lucifer was no longer defensive and began to attack, clashing fists with Aiden. The collision was only the beginning before it started to get intense.
Hiro could only watch with his mouth agape. How does Phoenix have that much strength in his petite-sized body? A beta of his stature can keep up with an alpha like Xavier.
If he asks Phoenix to teach him how to fight, would he?
While amid battle, Lucifer had one thought in his head. 'All the moves he is throwing at me are a bit unfamiliar. It looks simple yet complicated, and the blows he throws are harder than they look.'
If he wasn't experienced in fighting against gladiators, heroes, and various gods, this would have been tough.
Aiden appears behind him and aims to jump-kick his head.
By this time, Lucifer had observed Aiden's moves, so when he suddenly appeared behind him, he had a vague idea of what his next move was going to be.
He raised his hand to protect his head, and the kick came, he blocked it, he was pushed back a few feet, then he cracked his neck and scowled.
The training room would have been destroyed a long time ago if it wasn't lined with shock absorption technology and an unnoticeable layer of force fields.
And Augustus couldn't be more glad, because right now, as he was reading reports sent to him by the A.I. placed in the training room, he could see the shock waves emitting from the blows.
'He probably held back that day we sparred,' he thought. He should probably return to training.
"They've been at this for half an hour," Hiro said in a daze. Augustus nods in reply.
Lucifer was ready to end this little fight, so when Aiden threw his next punch, he decided that was the last move. He dodged to the right, grabbed Aiden's arm, and flipped him over his shoulder, twisting his hand hard enough to dislocate the ball and socket joint on his shoulder.
Before appearing on top of Aiden and punching his face, breaking his nose, and knocking him out of commission.
Augustus who was reading the reports sent by the A.I. knew, how strong the punch Lucifer threw was. It wasn't very evident, but, the force field had cracked a bit before repairing itself.
Aiden isn't dead, he knows that he's very much alive. An average human, even though they are a lot stronger and more durable than the people of the time before the Interstellar Age, wouldn't be alive with a punch that can crack a force field.
Aiden's durability has always been very impressive, Lucifer must have known that too, for him to throw a punch like that, because he wouldn't kill unless he needed to. Or at least that is what he hopes for.
Lucifer stood up, there were several bruises on his arm, fist, and probably ribs. He isn't as durable as he was before. This body is eighty percent similar to his former body, but it lacks the experience his old body had before he became demon king.
Assuming he had been patient, he could have created a body to be exactly like his old body, just like he's always done in the past.
Hiro burst into the training room and ran to Aiden's side first to aid him. Lucifer didn't say anything to him and instead walked out of the training room.
"You look upset," Augustus said.
"I'm not," Lucifer replies. "I just miss my old body that was built for battle," he said in a neutral voice.
"But isn't this body becoming like your old body with the rate your magic is returning?"
Lucifer sighs. "It is, but it is way too slow..." he said. "Sure beating Aiden and a few other humans is great for keeping up with stamina, but how would I fight if someone like a god decides to fight me, I will not be able to defend myself properly, and I would be locked in the Dark Dimension again, or maybe get sent to an even worse prison."
Augustus didn't understand how Lucifer felt. He is the Second Prince of an empire pampered by his parents. He doesn't know what true hardship feels like, so he couldn't relate to Lucifer or guess his goal.
"Do you want to eat the victory cake Rosetta made?" he asked with a smile.
Lucifer immediately became excited and ran out of the center.
The servants of the household could guess who had won when Lucifer came out of the training room first.
Augustus stepped out behind him. "Call a doctor for Xavier."
