The day of resumption is fast approaching and everyone is finishing their holiday assignments before they can resume.
Although Lucifer doesn't have this problem because he going to be transferring from his school on the foreign planet A-1267 to a school here on the capital planet. Augustus didn't have this problem either, he did his holiday assignments.
However the same can't be said about a lot of other students. During his online exploration, Lucifer saw many teenagers crying and many parents rejoicing that school was resuming.
Lucifer could feel his strength increasing with the amount of despair in the air. "I don't understand, why are children upset that school is resuming?" he asked in confusion.
When his life was peaceful, people didn't have enough teachers to teach them. It was only given to those with the potential of learning or those born into wealth
He was never a part of the fortunate people and he had to learn everything on his own.
"Because the curriculum is difficult and the students would no longer have the free time they had during the holidays," Augustus explained.
"But you aren't as upset as the millions of students around," Lucifer said.
Augustus smiled. "I'm not like them," he said.
Lucifer nodded contented with his answer. "That's good," he said.
"I am quite excited to do what Phoenix was studying," Lucifer said. "He's doing something called: 'Weapon Engineering.' It might be very interesting."
Lucifer looked very happy with the course Phoenix was studying before he was given this body.
"That's a difficult course," Augustus said in surprise.
"Psh, it can't be that difficult..." Lucifer said in a carefree voice.
Augustus raised an eyebrow and nodded slowly. "Uh-huh..." he said. "Did you fully absorb Phoenix's memories before saying this?" he asked slowly.
"Yes, I also found the thing that you were doing in his memories. I practiced it and it was hard," Lucifer said, still sounding very carefree.
"But?" Augustus said expecting him to say something else.
Lucifer was confused at why Augustus was saying but. "But nothing, the things Phoenix does it quite difficult. I like weapons and would like to engineer them. And when I've learned how to engineer them, I can create a weapon strong enough to merge with Bela and go and defeat the gods in battle."
"Alright, whatever you do," Augustus said.
Lucifer felt conflicted. Every time he spoke about defeating the gods or returning to the past to finish what he couldn't finish, Augustus didn't care, at all, despite having a vague understanding of what he could do with his fullest power.
It is nice.
School sounded nice to Lucifer at first, until he realized that, he was going to be in a room with several human children and probably other races. He didn't want to be alone in that class but neither Augustus nor Hiro can not be with him.
Augustus was going to a military school, and he wouldn't see him again until visitation day, and Hiro was studying for a different course. Architecture.
He got to school early. The school is very big, almost as big as his island back on Earth and the amount of negative emotions coming from here is outstandingly amazing
He saw Hiro coming out of a car with Aiden. "Hiro!" he greets cheerfully going to hug him.
He releases him still grinning until Aiden clears his throat. "Xavier," he said in a deadpan voice.
"Phoenix," Aiden replies in the same tone, before turning to Hiro and kissing his cheek. "See you in four weeks," he said.
'Aw,' Lucifer thought. He might not like Aiden but the sight of young love is quite beautiful in his eyes. The only thing the disgusting lust-driven Goddess of Love is good for. 'Maybe after returning to the past, I'll find someone nice to be my bride.'
Once Aiden and Hiro had finished saying goodbye to one another. Hiro decided to help him get around. They entered the school and Lucifer was in awe.
There were holographic videos and posters everywhere of the teachers, a few honor students, and the principal.
A small sound caught the attention of every student and several holographic screens popped out of nowhere.
"Students of Cliff Ford High," A video of a woman, with grey hair with blue eyes said. Everyone stopped to listen.
"Who's she?" Lucifer asked Hiro.
Hiro looked very conflicted while looking at the woman. Lucifer nudged him, snapping him out of his conflicted daze. "Oh, you said?"
Lucifer frowned worriedly. "Are you alright?" he asked.
Hiro laughs nervously. "I'm fine," he said. "Let's just listen to the announcement."
The holographic video continues. "I would like to welcome everyone, both fresh students and returning students, back to another glorious session, I hope this session there won't be any cases of students blowing up the laboratory, improperly using their ability, or fighting," she said. "I also hope that the fresh students will read their rule manual this time around because we won't be looking at the faces of your parents when we send you to our sister school for proper training."
Several murmurs were coming from the crowd. "And remember children, keep your intrusiveness and rudeness outside the school and we won't have to publicly shame you or your parents."
"You may now go and be an excellent representation of our Empire."
Once the announcement ended everyone began to move.
"So who is she?" Lucifer asked while they walking around.
"The principal of the school?" Hiro replies, expecting him to have known this. "Didn't you know about this before you decided to transfer to this school?"
"Nope," Lucifer replies. "Also, it was the male donor of my existence that sent me here."
"The male donator?" Hiro said in confusion, trying to figure out who Lucifer was talking about. "Are you talking about your father?"
"I prefer calling him the male donor of my existence," Lucifer said, that was what his mother called his father before she died.
"Phoenix!"
Lucifer saw Roger walking quickly towards him, behind him was Rosemarie and the blue-haired boy that he met on the EMT ship.
"Roger," Lucifer said. "You go here too," he said happily.
"Yeah," Roger said.
"Hello," Rosemarie said shyly.
"Hi," Lucifer waved at her.
"And I believe you remember Philip?" Roger said, pulling the blue-haired boy forward.
"How could I forget," Lucifer said. "The both of you were screaming in my ears."
Philip laughs nervously, his cheeks are lightly tinted with red. "Nice to see you are doing well," he said.
"Hm," Lucifer simply said.
Roger notices Hiro next to him and smiles friendly at him. "Nice to see you again, Hiro," he said, raising his hand for a handshake.
"Nice to see you too," Hiro said, shaking his hand.
'I forgot they met each other,' Lucifer thought.
They all walked together and they spoke about the courses they were studying. "Oh Rosemarie is studying the same course as you," Roger said.
Lucifer looks at Rosemarie like a lost traveler does to a guardian. "Really?" he said.
Rosemarie nodded and Lucifer moved to her. "Sorry, Hiro," he said. "I've found a fairy."
Hiro laughed at him and said, "Alright."
They heard the sound of a bell ringing. 'What was that for?' Lucifer thought.
"That's the first warning bell," Roger said sadly. "How about we all meet for lunch in the cafeteria?"
They all made sounds of agreement. "Great," Roger said. "See you guys later!" he said dragging Philip with him to the healing department, where they were studying.
Hiro too left. "See you two during lunch," he said, leaving Rosemarie and Lucifer alone.
"It looks like it is just you and me," Lucifer said to Rosemarie, who just nodded.
