I looked around as Luke is nowhere to be seen. He must be really busy right now so I'll leave him be. I was exploring this whole building. This whole place is amazing. It was built professionally. I felt confused of why I was at the very top floor. Where does Luke sleep though? I know in the third floor its the kitchen and dinning room. It was such a large space. I'll explore that soon but I'll just look around the seventh floor. I just need to explore a bit. This place is well built and spacious. I took a corner and noticed a distant room. It looks so weird. So there's two bedrooms in this whole floor. What does he have in there? I felt completely confused so I walked forward.
I went to hold on to the door until a hand lands on mine. I screamed out in fear. We both separate in panic. I was ready to fight until I noticed Ashton. I touched my chest as I took deep breaths.
"You terrified me!" I snapped at him
"I apologize I tried talking to you but you didn't hear me" he says with a gentle laugh
"Oh am sorry..." I say as I felt like an idiot
"Come... Luke doesn't like it when someone enters this room without his supervision" he tells me as he places his hand on my back
I looked back and asked "What's in there?"
He looks down and answered me gently "When Luke is ready he'll tell you..."
Something or someone is in there? Or is there something I can't see? He leads me to the elevator and presses the third floor. I felt completely confused but I just followed him. His arm drops as he just looks away. I must of reminded him of something. He is serious but I could see in his eyes that he is really sad. I just stayed quiet this time. So all I did was just wait for the elevator doors to open. Revealing a full third floor of people. My whole body tenses up. So many people. I saw Scarlet laughing with a small group of woman with Sara with them.
"HEY SARA!" Ashton yells out while waving
Sara looks our way and had the biggest smile "YOUR AWAKE!"
I looked at Ashton as I had forgotten to tell everyone I am awake and I doubt Luke told anyone as I hadn't seen him yet. Ashton now's because he helped me to my room. But now I think seeing how all eyes are on me I am in terror now. I swallowed a lump. I at least memorized that the first floor is where the medical area is. There is a second one in the fourth floor just for incase. Luke has been going crazy fixing and rearranging lots of things. I wanted to help but Ashton has been watching over me before letting Luke now I am awake.
He wanted to make sure I am completely awake and ok. Able to walk at least. Scarlet's eyes lock with mine and I just stared at her with a gentle smile. I may be bruised and battered but that didn't mean I should be laying down dying of boredom. Or not seeing my bestfriend basically my sister. But seeing her ok made my heart feel at ease. Even Sarah safe and sound. She has a bruise on her forehead. Scarlet has a few bruises and cuts. But what would you expect from a fighter. I saw how everyone just stared at me and were whispering. They all had giant smiles on their faces. What is happening? So many eyes on me. It felt so creepy and its also making me nervous. I didn't know what to do. I did my very best but I looked back to the elevator and it was closed. I felt someone grab my hand and I tensed up panicked.
I quickly looked and noticed Sarah. She pulls me in for a hug. I felt shocked. I didn't know I made more than one person worry about me. I felt very much confused and then I felt someone else hug me. But I knew who it was. I looked to the side and noticed Scarlet. She was holding me tightly. I sighed out at them and just hugged them in return.
"I am ok guys... I was so worried about you two..." I tell them as I hold them harder
"We barely had any wounds on us... But when I saw you in the bed... Who were those people?" Sarah asked while crying
I know Scarlet won't answer but I say gently "I don't know... I wish I knew but I don't"
Fear started to coarse through me as I started crying. My memory of what happened flooding into my brain. I felt such fear. I felt the pain again. I felt someone else hug me. I felt shocked. Paralyzed even. Slowly others started hugging me tightly. It was making me cry more. This place is really feeling like home. I am not even working and I am already being treated like part of the family. I can't handle this so much emotion. I lay my head in Sarah's shoulder and started crying loudly. I had like eight people hugging me right now and I felt completely confused but it felt so welcoming. So warming. I didn't know what else to do.
All I could do was cry out. I was so happy that I met this place. I sure am happy I met all these people. This place has welcomed me to their home and haven't even complained. They have been excited. We hear a chair scratch and I looked while sniffling. It was a female. She looks towards the elevator. Her eyes wide open. She is in her mid teens correct. Beside her was a boy. He is younger than her. I did my best as they must be children still. She whispers something in the boys ear and he looked confused.
But she still dragged him to the elevator she had tears in her eyes. Is something wrong? Did they hear something wrong? I wiped the tears away. I tried getting away from everyone's hold but it was so hard.
"Guys... I am getting hungry and even though I love this hugs we all need food and have things to do" I tell everyone who is holding me
I hear a few laughing and one responded "That's correct we must finish picking the pears before they get to ripped"
"A few more seconds..." another spoke
It made me giggle but someone said "Luke would be mad if she hasn't eaten so we should leave her to eat"
It made me feel embarrassed as I didn't want to get anybody in trouble but everyone complained but they started saying good bye to me as they went their own path. I felt in a way special. Is there something I don't know about? I stared at Sarah as she wasn't releasing me. Scarlet was laughing a bit as she saw Sarah clinging on to me like a Koala to its mother. I wish to carry her but I have no strength. None at all.
Scarlet pulls her off of me and she just acts innocent as she tried giving me another hug but it only made me laugh. Crazy woman. She had a big smile. Scarlet and her started bantering a bit. I followed her towards the table as food was there. Except my own. I hadn't sat down yet so I just looked to the kitchen. There was people in there again. So he has personal chefs here? I thought it was a one time thing. The elderly woman saw me and she bowed her head. I felt confused.
I bowed back at her thinking it was something about religion. Customs maybe. I stood straight again and she looks at me confused. She glances behind me but then stares at me again with a smile.
"You must be hungry miss... Is there anything specific?" she asked me nicely
"A sandwich is ok..." I try not to be a bother
I wanted to make it but seems like I can't bother her "Anything else sweety?"
I felt so warm inside like a grandmother talking to her granddaughter type of feeling so I answered "M-May I have... have some bacon in my sandwich?"
She had laughed so warmly I felt so welcomed here even more "Alright young one... Go sit down Oliver will take your plate to the table soon..."
I smiled widely as I spoke again "Thank you so much..."
"Your very welcome young one..." I really like it when she tells me that
I've never had a elderly woman talk to me this way so it is so new to me. But I will welcome it greatly. I bowed gently as I walked back to the table. I don't want to disrespect her in any way. I walked back to the table to see Scarlet eating scrambled eggs with toast. Sarah had something similar except hers has vegetables. Does she cook meals depending on the persons requests? I sat down in front of the two blabbering girls. I noticed the topic of shopping again. Damn. Not again. I am not going. I want to explore.
I should explore this place in length.
