Hayato watched closely as Yangchen closed her eyes, her breathing being completely steady as her hands began to move around in a circular motion.
First, a small gust of wind began to move towards her, and Hayato felt a gentle breeze touching him due to her actions.
However, the small gust then became a small cyclone as the air began to pick up dust and dirt from it.
It then changed into a huge tornado in front of Yangchen. Even though it was near Hayato and should have picked him up due to the power wind pressure it was using, he felt nothing more than a small gust of wind touching him.
"This is what it means to become an Airbending Master, with you able to easily control the area around you. You can destroy towns and Villages with minimal ease and possess great power. But..."
Suddenly, Yangchen's eyes glowed for a second. With the tornado disappearing, Hayato saw a stunning scene.
The clouds.
The trees.
The rocks.
The dirt.
Everything flowed in the direction that Yangchen bent towards, with it showcasing the sheer power that she possessed.
"This is what it means to become a fully mastered Avatar. I do not view this as even close to being a pinnacle, as while I am a powerful Avatar, I am far from being the strongest. But understand that there is no limit to what you can achieve, and any limit that exists holds no sway over you. Now, let's begin your training." Yangchen said while Aang sat on the sidelines eating a snack and giving them a thumbs up.
Yangchen blasted a gust if wind into the wooden doors, with each moving at a high speed as they spun.
Yangchen said nothing as she entered the contraption, her movements elegant and fluid as she easily moved past each of the doors, as if traveling through each one was no issue.
By watching her, Hayato entered a trance, and his heightened talent showed itself as he learned from each step that Yangchen took.
Yangchen then exited, her smile shining brightly on her face as she looked at Hayato.
"This will teach you the nature of being free. The goal is to flow through the doors like an unbound leaf, with it showcasing how Airbenders navigate through their challenges and issues with grace." Yangchen explained.
"Yeah!! You can get through it, Hayato!! Just float through it!!" Aang yelled in encouragement from the side, with Hayato gaining a small smile in response.
Hayato stepped forward and attempted to empty his mind of all useless thoughts, with him reciting 'Float like a leaf' in his mind.
Hayato entered the contraption, with his heightened body and talent showcasing themselves to their fullest ability, as he moved through the doors, with him originally getting hit once or twice by them, yet he adapted easily and began it navigate through them with the same type of grace that Yangchen had just demonstrated.
Seeing his skill, Yangchen gradually increased the speed of the doors, wishing to see how far Hayato could go on his first attempt if she increased the difficulty.
But, the prior events seemed to repeat, as though Hayato was originally struggling, he gradually began to regain control over himself and floating with ease again.
'Incredible! To be able to navigate the gates with such extreme ease even when they're moving that fast, his skill at this point is on the same level as some new Airbending Masters. Such talent is truly monstrous. I can't wait to see what type of Avatar he will become in the future. And Kiyoshi will have a field day with him.' Yangchen thought as she made the doors stop.
Hayato opened his eyes while looking slightly confused, as he didn't expect Yangchen to stop the gates so soon.
"I congratulate you, Avatar Hayato. You have, in merely 10 minutes, achieved something that takes most Airbenders years to learn. Even Aang, one of the youngest Air Bending Masters in history, took around two weeks to even be able to move easily inside of it, and he was a genius. So, now that you've become proficient in finding the past of least resistance and touching upon freedom while also destroying Air Bending benchmarks, let's begin with your practical practice." Yangchen spoke upon seeing his gaze.
She then beckoned for him to follow her while Aang stayed back, with them heading towards a practice field.
"Is this a small house or a spiritual place for me to learn my bending?" Hayato asked as he noticed the huge size of the land.
"From what I understand, you are some type of Noble Heir in this Land, and this is your home, one that belongs only to you. The Spirit who brought you here placed these items in the courtyard so that we could ensure your teaching went well." Yangchen answered.
Hayato had noticed that the home he was in seemed to have larger levels, but he hoped that the Light hadn't sent him here with a complicated identity because he did not wish to deal with anything that would complicate his time here before he grew strong enough to protect himself.
Yangchen noticed this when she gave him a small piece of advice.
"While your mission here may seem simple, you are still the Avatar. And sadly, it seems that trouble follows us every single step of the way, no matter what we do in an attempt to not deal with those duties. Even Avatars that neglected certain parts of their duties to avoid their troubles would only give them to their successor, such as Szeto with me and I with Kuruk. But, only when one faces these troubles with no fear can we truly surpass the fear of the unknown."
Yangchen then turned around as they arrived at the training grounds, where she was speaking to him.
"Now, let's begin with the other part of your training. This will not only be useful for learning Airbending, but also for learning the other elements and yourself. That lesson will be spirituality."
