Hao Heng frowned as he looked at the person in front of him, even as an Innate Grandmaster, he still felt threatened by her, but still, he gritted his teeth as he knew who his comrades were.
A swordsman appeared next to Xu Yue at that very moment. He stabbed towards her head, going in for the kill.
Just as Xu Yue dodged his attack, Hao Heng appeared next to her and let out a devastating punch.
As Xu Yue dodged their attacks, she punched towards the swordsman's stomach, knowing that he was much more dangerous.
Just as her fist was about to reach him, she retreated. A large golden palm smashed down in the place she had just stood.
An old monk in a grey robe appeared next to the other two Innate Grandmasters.
"We have to eliminate her before she becomes any stronger," the old monk said with a frown.
As Xu Yue tried to regain her bearings, the three of them had already surounded her from three different sides.
Not being able to take care of the most dangerous swordsman, Xu Yue decided to take care of the weakest link.
"Not good," thought Hao Feng, as the demon was a little faster than before.
"We have to kill her before she becomes any stronger," shouted Hao Feng.
Hearing this, the old monk took out a small wooden fish from his robe, as he did so, a golden aura enveloped the four fighters.
Xu Yue frowned as she felt a weight being added to her shoulders.
She punched towards Hao Feng several times before dodging the attacks of the three of them.
Chen Feng held his sword tightly. No matter what happened, he had to kill the demon in front of him.
Seeing it attack Hao Feng, he let out several false attacks, intentionally weakening them.
Knowing that it was preoccupied with Hao Feng, so he let out a ruthless slash toward its neck.
His sword got halfway through Xu Yue's neck before it stopped. She then grabbed Chen Feng by the head.
A moment later, Xu Yue crushed Chen Feng's head into small pieces. After that, she brought her attention back to the other two.
Even with a sword in her neck, Xu Yue still somehow let out ruthless attacks towards the two of them, not caring about her injuries.
"This is fun, this is really fun," said Xu Yue as she let out a burst of maniacal laughter, completely unnerving the two Grandmasters.
Under the terified eyes of the two, she ripped out the sword from her neck. A large amount of blood instantly gushed out of her wound.
Sadly, the wound then started healing at an exaggerated rate. As Chen Feng's body lost its vitality, Xu Yue fully healed herself.
Xu Yue then appeared right next to Hao Feng, a smile appeared on her face as she ruthlessly attacked him. Even as the monk attacked her, she only used the bare minimum force required force to defend, using everything else to attack Hao Feng.
As time passed, Xu Yue's attacks started becoming more and more exquisite. It seemed as if the world itself attacked Hao Feng. Both him and the monk could see the demon begin mastering using the energy of the world and they could do nothing about it.
In an unexpected twist, Xu Yue stopped attacking Hao Feng and snatched the small wooden fish from the monk and ruthlessly smashed it.
Unexpectedly, the monk smiled as he saw this. A large golden aura erupted from the destroyed fish, slowing Xu Yue down massively. He then ignored his injuries and launched a vicious attack on her.
The monk then couldn't help but let out a scream of anger.
He decisively ignored Hao Feng, who had escaped, and focused on Xu Yue.
"Bald Donkey I really pity you, having such a cowardly comrade," said Xu Yue as she dodged the monk's attacks.
In another location,
Hao Feng ran desperately, and as the monk slowed Xu Yue down, he knew that this was his opportunity to escape.
By now, he had run desperately for several hours, traversing an extreme distance.
"hehehe"
As he heard a giggle behind him, sweat filled Hao Feng's forehead.
Before he could do anything else, he immediately lost consciousness.
"I really pity that Bald Donkey for having a teammate like you," said Xu Yue as she looked at the now dead Hao Feng.
In another location,
Chu Feng smiled as he fought manically. Over a thousand cultists fought against the Imperial Court's martial artists.
Those martial artists could not hope to compare to the cultists' fanaticism and self-sacrifice. They would do anything and make any sacrifice if it helped their Goddess. As such, the battle was in their favour.
Twenty years later,
After a few years, except for the Shaolin Temple, which still tried to fight the Life Goddess Sect desperately, all other powers had accepted the death of a city every few years. As long as they did not go too far, they would be tolerated for now.
Inside the headquarters of the Life Goddess Sect.
Xu Yue sat crosslegged. A feeling of reaching the limit filled her, she then tried to push her control over the natural energies of the world to a higher level.
As she did so, clouds gathered in the sky and an extremely oppressive aura then appeared around the sect.
Bolts of extremely terrifying lightning attacked Xu Yue. It seemed as if the heavens did not want to let her ascend at all costs. The power of the lightning was far beyond anything someone in the Innate Grandmaster realm could bear.
The first bolt had already sent her halfway to death.
"I will achieve immortality," mumbled Xu Yue, and even while she died, a look of extreme obsession appeared on her face.
The second lightning bolt completely destroyed Xu Yue's body, killing her.
Inside Xu Yue's Sea of Consciousness
An orb with an extremely heinous aura appeared next to her soul. It immediately clashed with the other orb next to her soul. A mysterious force then separated the two into two opposite sides of Xu Yue's sea of Consciousness.
A while ago, nearby to a small world
Ning Chen breathed a sigh of relief as he looked at the world in front of him.
"Thankfully, I didn't completely screw up; it would have been disastrous if I had allowed young Miss's Incarnation to ascend," mumbled Ning Chen, a cold sweat on his forehead.
