Chapter 65 - Interlude: Ling Fan part 1

Ling Fan looked at the cultivators in front of him with anger in his eyes, ever since he had come to this world no one had managed to anger him like this.

"Damn you," shouted Ling Fan, he then disappeared a moment later, appearing next to one of the cultivators.

As his anger increased, it seemed as if more and more power filled Ling Fan, after only afew minutes of battle all the cultivators were dead.

A terrible pain began to fill Ling Fan but still, he silently went to look at his little sister.

Seeing that she was fine, he breathed a large sigh of relief.

He then took out a healing pill and sat down, meditating, even though it seemed easy enough, Ling Fan was still only at the beginning of the Soul Enlightenment realm, compared to the Soul Condensation cultivators he had just killed he was too weak.

He then got up after a few minutes, before taking a look at his little sister.

"System, what should I use to wake her up?" asked Ling Fan.

"You can get the help of a Minor Trancendance Cultivator, someone who has the Nine Yin Physique or use one of the items in the system shop," replied a mechanical voice.

Ling Fan frowned as he heard what the system had said.

"What do those items from the system shop cost?" asked Ling Fan as he gritted his teeth, right now he could only be fleeced by the system shop.

Nine Yin Ganoderma- Ten thousand points.

High-Rank Yin Spiritual Stone- One Hundred Thousand points

Earth Rank Soul Grass- Thirty Thousand Points

"These are the most cost-effective options for you right now," said the mechanical voice.

Looking at the fifty thousand points he had accumulated over three decades, Ling Fan gritted his teeth.

"One Nine Yin Ganoderma," said Ling Fan as he felt a pain in his heart looking at his points deplete.

A dark Ganoderma appeared right in front of Ling Fan, who caught it with a smile on his face.

Three hours later

Ling Fan breathed a sigh of relief as he looked at his little sister.

"Brother where am I?" asked Ling Yun, extremely confused.

"Don't worry you are fine," said Ling Fan as he patted Ling Yun on the forehead.

Ling Fan died because he was struck by a truck when he was taking Ling Yun to the kindergarten.

Oddly enough, Ling Yun was also Ling Fan's sister in this life, she was born eleven years after him.

Fortunately, both of the siblings had the potential to cultivate, the only problem was that Ling Yun suffered Cultivation Deviation when she was twelve, sending her into a coma.

It took a while for Ling Fan to discover the reason why that happened, It turned out the region the two of them lived had extremely powerful Yang Energy, while Ling Yun had a physique that required Yin Energy, as such without treasures like the Nine Yin Ganoderma it was imposible for her to cultivate.

"Don't worry, big brother will let you cultivate," said Ling Fan as he looked at Ling Yun with love in his eyes.

Ling Yun and Ling Fang were brother and sister in two different lifetimes, as such their connection was much more deep than normal.

Seeing this, a sad smile appeared on Ling Yun's face.

"I won't be a burden to brother," mumbled Ling Yun.

One year later

Ling Fan and Ling Yun were walking alone at night.

"How do you feel?" asked Ling Fan.

"I feel much less uncomfortable when I cultivate," said Ling Yun with a smile on her face.

"The Nine Yin Ganoderma is also being used up much slowed," continued Ling Yun.

Ling Fan breathed a sigh of relief, after a year of travel in a certain direction, the quantity of Yang Energy continually decreased.

"We only have to travel a bit more and you will be able to cultivate normally," said Ling Fan as he looked at Ling Yun.

Right now, with the help of the Nine Yin Ganoderma, Ling Yun had finally managed to cultivate, it seemed as if, without the Yang Energy disturbing her, she was quite a genius.

One year later

As the two of them continued walking, they seemed to have been transported in a new world, any remaining Yang Energy around in the air had completely dissipated, Ling Fan discovered that he even felt a closer connection to his sword.

"System what happened?" asked Ling Fan in his mind.

"The two of you were born at the furthest edge of the Extreme Yang region, where Spiritual Energy is at it's thinnest, and after traveling for some time you managed to reach the sword region," replied a mechanical voice.

"Is there anyone that can harm you in this sword region," asked Ling Fan.

In fact, Ling Fan had asked a similar question before, and the answer he received was no.

"It is best if you do not go to the Origin Sword sect as there may be a chance to come into contact with the Sword Daolord," replied the System.

"Daolord?" asked Ling Fan, not knowing what that was.

"The Daolord is the one who has the Highest understanding of a certain Dao, most Daolords can not threaten me, but Immortal Daolords can, they are those that were Daolords when they were mortal and then ascended to Immortality," said the voice.

"Being the Daolord, they have a deep connection to their Dao, as such they can send incarnations to their regions."

"In a certain period of time, three Immortals besieged the Origin Sword Sect, as such, the Daolord sent out an incarnation from the upper dimension, his incarnation managed to kill all three Immortals," said the system with a heavy tone.

Hearing this, Ling Fan was shocked.

"How powerful is the main body if an incarnation can kill three Immortals," asked Ling Fan.

"Half ste-," the System unconsciously wanted to answer the question, it thankfully managed to stop itself, if it even uttered those words, disastrous consequences would happen to them.

Ling Fan was smart, he knew that the System did not want to answer this question as such, he kept his mouth shut.
