Xu Yue tried to retreat to the best of abilities, but it was useless, as soon as the statue opened it's eyes, a terrifying aura erupted from it freezing her in her place.
The statue then slowly turned its head and looked at Xu Yue, it then slowly began to take it's first steps.
Seeing this, Xu Yue managed to overcome her primal terror and began running towards the exit.
After a few minutes, the statue then began following her at an extreme speed that was far faster than that of Xu Yue.
As it was chasing Xu Yue, the statue began morphing, at first it began shrinking, afterward, the stone from which it was built began transforming into actual human flesh.
As such, it's speed further increased to an exaggerated degree.
Just as Xu Yue reached the end of the cave, a giant rock was thrown into a wall, collapsing it and blocking the entrance.
A moment later, just as Xu Yue began losing hope, an enormous lightning bolt smashed into the ground above the cave.
Hearing this, the statue stopped.
"Not again," mumbled the statue, dispair filling it's eyes, it knew that it could not compare with the power of heaven, no matter what she did she would be trapped in this prison, unable to achieve true immortality.
It then looked at Xu Yue, a somewhat bitter look appeared on it's face as it looked at her.
"It's all useless, no matter what you do," said the statue before a boly of lightning struck it, annihilating it from existence.
A shocked look appeared on Xu Yue's face as she gazed at the place the statue just stood, all that remained was mere dust.
"It's all useless," mumbled Xu Yue under her breath, a thoughtful look appeared on her face as she said this.
The moment lightning struck the statue, a few dark shard entered Xu Yue's sea of consciousness, they immediately fused with the Dark Orb that was already there, increasing both it's size and it's power.
But still, it was powerless to do anything against the power that separated it from the other orb.
Looking at this, Ning Chen wiped a burst of sweat of his forehead, he had thought that the two forces being roughly equal was unusual with Xu Yue's character, but he had not thought that she had managed to somehow hide from him.
"I won't take my eyes of this world until young Miss is out of it," decided Ning Chen, he then silently gazed at the world, making sure that nothing would go wrong anymore.
Inside of the world.
Xu Yue looked at the cave in front of her and furrowed her brows, she then sighed a few minutes later before leaving.
After this, Xu Yue became a wondering Swordman that traveled the world, she would only act based on her mood, is she saw some injustices maybe she would interfere maybe she would not, it all depended on her mood.
After being in the outside world for more than half a year, Xu Yue silently began traveling back to the sect.
One month later,
Looking at the familiar mountain in front of her, Xu Yue sighed, she then walked on a path going to the peak.
Seven Years later
Xu Yue breathed a silent sigh as she felt her current strength, is she managed to ascend it would be alright, no matter what happened she wouldn't force it.
After thinking for a few moments, she then exited her room and began roaming the mountain.
"Junior sister, what are you doing?" asked Bing Yue with a smile on her face.
Hearing this, a faint smile appeared on Xu Yue's face.
"Nothing, I'm just looking around," said Xu Yue as she looked at her senior sister.
Bing Yue walked past Xu Yue, and hugged her from behind.
"Don't be sad, Junior sister," as her fingers went through Xu Yue's hair.
Xu Yue closed her eyes for a little bit, and as she opened them, a pure indifference could be seen from them.
Right now, she was indifferent to both the Mortal and Immortal world, she did not care if she did not manage to ascend, even if she failed, it would not bother her.
"Senior sister, you reached the Innate Grandmaster realm?" asked Xu Yue curiously.
"Yes, I'm much slower than you," said Bing Yue with a smile on her face.
Two Hundred and forty years later.
Xu Yue slowly walked alongside the mountain peak, several young disciples bowed and greeted her when walking by.
Watching them, Xu Yue couldn't help but remember her own master, as he had died long ago.
"Junior sister," said an old Woman as she walked up to Xu Yue.
"Senior sister Yue, will you attempt it?" asked Xu Yue with a rare smile on her face.
"I don't have many other choices do I? I'm even older than you and don't have much time," said Bing Yue.
After saying this, she then began floating in the air, as she had reached the Innate Grandmaster realm 240 years ago, her powers were immeasurable.
Xu Yue watched as Bing Yue was struck by Lightning Bolts, with her strength she resisted the first five with ease, but as the bolts added up, their strengths kept increasing.
After resisting the Eight bolt, Bing Yue's injuries had already added up, blood flowed from her entire body.
A terrifying bolt of lightning then struck down with incredible power, as the aftermath ensued, a halfdead Bing Yue could be seen, she gritted her teeth as much as she could to stay alive.
And after a few moments, a golden light came down from the Heavens surrounding her.
After her injuries healed Bing Yue let out a cry of pain, it seemed as if Heaven itself was transforming her cultivation base.
Her Martial Ascendant cultivation was forcefully transformed into a cultivation base at the Soul Enlightenment realm, but still Bing Yue felt even stronger than before, after a few more moments in the light, her old body seemed to transform, becoming younger and younger.
Before she could do anything else, a hole appeared in the void, swallowing her.
