I was even more confused then. Then my neck started hurting so much then all of a sudden I looked up and saw I was in a dark cold place. "Who goes there?" a scary voice asked. "Where am I?" I asked myself. Then suddenly it stopped being dark and I saw a girl who looked like she was barely sixteen.
"Who are you?" I asked. "The goddess of misery," she said. "I thought it was the 'god' of misery instead," I said. "Oh gosh. Why does everyone only talk about my freaking twin brother? We literally are twins and we have the exact same powers!" she said. "Jeez," I mumbled. "Where's your brother anyway?" I asked.
"He's checking up on some things, but you can ask me anything you wanted to ask him. We have the same knowledge," she said. "Tell me everything that led to this," I asked. "Your brother told us not to tell you," she said. "Which brother? Touma?" I asked. "Yeah, he said you couldn't handle it," she replied.
"Then why did he tell me to come here?" I asked. "I can break my promise and tell you," she said. "How? I will do anything," I said. "Stop making it rain so much, the rain makes people sad and we have more work because of that," she said. "I don't control the weather though," I said. "Yes you do. Remember how when you went into the river you regained your powers? It's because it's your kingdom," she said. "Then why don't I transform when I shower or get rained on? Isn't that water from 'my kingdom'?" I asked.
"It's complicated. So will you stop being all moody and just let the weather be?" she asked. "Sure, tell me," I said. "What do you wanna know?" she asked. "First how did I get here?" I asked. "Your neck," she replied. "My neck..." I said then realized Touma wasn't a vampire he was just trying to make sure I get here. "So he isn't a vampire?" I asked. "That's the excuse he used?" she scoffed. "Why are they demons?" I asked. She looked at me her expression becoming sad and serious. "Does it always have to be like this, Hailey?" she asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked. "Nothing. They are like that because they all made a sacrifice in order for you to become human," she replied. "Explain further, they didn't want me to be a goddess?" I asked. "Yes," she replied. "Why?" I asked. "Because they love you. You are one lucky goddess you have five loving brothers and an absolutely hot boyfriend," she said.
"Speaking of which, what's my story with Ahmya?" I asked. "You two were... I think it's something only you and Ahmya can talk about," she said. Even she decided to not answer my questions. "Can't you tell me the price of ne becoming human," I asked. "They all had to become demons and they had to watch you," she replied.
"Why did I have to become human?" I asked. "You couldn't handle the pain," she said. "What pain?" I asked. "You wanted to be human too," she said. "What an ungrateful brat I am," I mumbled. "Were they gods before?" I asked. "Yes," she replied. "How come I became a goddess again? Once a goddess always a goddess, once you found out your powers were awaken," she replied.
"How long have they been demons?" I asked. "This is your sixth human life and they had to watch you for thus long after this life their time is up," she said. "They also want to be human don't they?" I asked. "They watched me live six lives?" I asked. "Yeah," she replied. "Did I fall in love in my past five lives?" I asked. "Yes you did," she replied. "So Ahmya watched me fall in love to other people five times?" I asked. She quietly nodded.
"It must've hurt so much," I said my tears tearing. "You did what a normal human would do," she said trying to cheer me up. "After this life you said their time is up, what happens to them?" I asked. "They go to hell," she said.
"Can I take their places instead and do the same for them?" I asked. "Yes, goddess can take all people's burden but gods need to dived the burden. But if you do this will you be okay?" she asked. "Yes it will be nice to see them happy for a change," I said.
