Chapter 17 - 1000 years ago...

Hailey was watching the humans as they lived their lives. "I wish I could also think about myself and have fun," she whispered to her. She sighed and teleported back to the palace and her parents were impatiently waiting for her at the royal dinning hall to have lunch with them. "Where were you?" Hailey's mum asked. "You were watching humans again, wern't you?" Hailey's dad said. Hailey just rolled her eyes. "Anyway we have arranged for you marry the god of fire tomorrow," Hailey's dad said casually.

"What? Who is that even? You two are going make me marry someone I have no feelings for and have never met? And to make it worse, our wedding is tomorrow?" Hailey asked. "What is wrong with that? You are already twenty five years old(five hundred human years) and what did you say about feelings? Why are you trying to act like a human? We marry to build stronger reletionships with neighbouring kingdoms!" Hailey's dad scolded.

Hailey angrily teleported away and stood on top of the clouds as she could hear soft rain drops dropping. "They also act like humans family meals and stupid stuff like that," Hailey said. Then suddenly the god of death appeared. He was absolutely hot literally drop dead gorgeous but people feared him because he was the god of death and controlled the deaths of gods and goddesses too.

"What's the bride to be doing her?" he asked. Hailey spun around in suprise. "It's offcially announced?" she asked. "Yes," he replied. "Is it my time?" Hailey asked. "To die, no. To get married, probably," he replied. "This is so unfair, why do all goddesses have to get married this early? While gods can do whatever they want?" I asked. "Your parents must be excited since your they are only daughter," he said. 'Ughh, how I envy my brothers," Hailey said and the god of death smiled but quickly returned to his cold expression when Hailey looked at him. "I just realized I don't know your actual name," Hailey said. "It's Ahmya," he replied.
